Hi All,

I have 1000 to spend and not sure what to buy?!!!

I was thinking of buying two ETHs but decided to post here and ask your views if there were better coins to spend that money on or 2x ETH is a good idea?

Maybe get Coins that are low priced, low cap and have huge potential in future.

ETH or cheaper coins for better returns in future?

I believe that it is important to collect a balanced portfolio to reduce the rate of one coin, offset by an increase in the rate of the other. Coins must be independent of each other. I would have bought the percentage of 30% BTC - 20% ETH - 20% LTC - 20% NEO - 10% ZRX.

Now it is good time to invest. I would suggest to split it on two or three. The amount is too small for Bitcoin, but I would go for Ethereum and NEO.

Why not diversify your portfolio? Buy ETH on $500 and few other altcoins on other $500.  ::) Btw, I think you chose the good time to buy.

I think the best decision will be buying not only one coin.It would be better if you buy different coins.It can help you to diversify your portfolio.It is good time to buy alts.

Ether, this is a great idea. We already watched its price around $ 1300. This only proves its significance. And there are high hopes that the price will even be higher. On the other hand, I would buy a few more coins from the top ten.

It all depends on how much risk you want to take with your investment.

If you want to go with the safe route put something like 40% in BTC, 30% ETH, 30% XMR. This won't give you huge returns but you'll be pretty safe.

If you want to go with the risky route buy with your $1000 only ETH and research into ICOs, that's where you'll get the best returns for your investments. Just do lots and lots of hours of research before investing and don't listen too much to other people shills.

Depends on where are you taking that 1000$ If that is everything that you got, Ethereum is a good investment. If you have 1000$ to throw away, you could invest in some riskier small value coins that are still good to invest. In both cases, I advise you to invest in Ethereum. Even a 33% investment in Ethereum could cover your 66% loss if you chose badly on other altcoins.

the market is not stable from some days. if you want to invest i think ETH is the best option but you can invest in both 50% of your investment put in ETH and 50% put in Alts and the best alts are SC, DGB, BCN small coins but profitable now a days

It is better if you look at the coins in the marketcap for you to be able to decide which is the best coins that you are going to hold other than ETH itself. Might as well do some research before you start to buy the coins for your long-term investments.

I do not think that's a good idea. Of the three options that you proposed, he has the least support

ETH is a terrible investment moving forward. Pointless, centralized, premined bullshit that's useful only for facilitating ICO scams. ETH has never released anything of value, and never will. They talk a lot and deliver nothing.

Put 50% in BTC , 50% in XMR and don't believe any of these inbreds when they inevitably suggest Shithereum.

Hm, don't hold me for a word, but I guess you should have NEO, IOTA & Cardano in your portfolio.
IOTA and NEO since they should have some new protocols and projects on this year and because of that I expect them to go strongest in the forthcoming bull run, relatively speaking. Cardano, on the other hand, is a momentary strongest very-long-term investment.....

Then I believe you should pick up something outside of top coins list, just for the sake of the speculative strength..... I am a strong supporter of eBitcoin for example, but nevertheless be careful, study it on your own...... Ox looks very interesting......

Buy ether 50% of your capital. Rest you can invest in other alts.

BTC ETH XRP and DOGE I think this coin that has high potential ,, if there is seeing growth in every year is very promising ,, but you must remember do not you misstep in investing in large enough amount ,, because not necessarily you are able to lost it ,,

I was asking myself what to do when cryptocurrency goes down and found out that the most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

Ethereum is very good option to invest but 1000 dollars will be better for cheaper coins. I recommend you try with neo and eos

As for me, the Ethereum is more reliable, because you will definitely get profit from it, maybe not quite big enough. But if you buy some alternative coins, then the risk is many times higher, but the reward may be much larger

What is your goal here?  Is it for long term investment or you want to use money for day trading. If it is long term investment or just hodling, ethereum is fine. It is a good coin and you will probably profit from it long term. If you want to do some trading on the side, choose some low price, high volume coins to trade.

You already know ETH is a potential future coin and I suggest you have to split your money into 4 parts then you spend ETH, NANO, XLM and VEN. This is just a suggestion and you should not follow it, you must think more about your shopping list as much as possible in order to minimize accidents that will occur.

This depends on how Lomb you will like to hold. If you a considering a long term investment, i will advise you use half to invest into Ethereum and hold. Then the remaining half can be invested into NEO. The reason being that NEO itself has a lot of prospects. Also, staking NEO gives you gas. The more the investment and the longer the duration of hold, the more the GAS that will be given.

Nano is not a good option.

XLM is gonna make more than x5 during this year, so yes, it might be one of the best coins in where you can put your money right now.

VEN is 100% hype, not a good coin.

I'm looking at ETH, NEO, WAVES, UTK or some of the ones suggested in the posts above.

XLM has a high total supply so going to avoid for now.

XRP, maybe investing into this coin?!!  Yes I am aware its a centralised coin but the rumour of it being added to Coinbase will definitely send its price up.

In my opinion with $ 1000 to acquire 1 Ethereum the remainder to invest in altcoins is not bad at all, but it is relative and may depend on the style of investor you are, so investing in long-term known currencies may be something interesting, but if you have a daring style to look for new coins, invest one way more comprehensive, is the way. It is up to you bro, if you want a sure 2x profit go buy 2 eth with its price cut of 500 usd as of the moment, however if you want to earn more than that try investing to ICO because there is a chance of getting a x5 or higher but investing in ICO is risky for sure. So you decide secured income in the future or tske risk.

I will suggest you to search for good projects with low valuation which have the potential to double your profit in a short period of time, before entering look at the price chart and determine the best price to enter, i am not advising any coins but spending some time in google will find you the answers,i like projects like BAT, SONM , PXS to name a few , check out their project plan and invest wisely.

Are you thinking long term like 4-5 years or short term, like by the end of the year? Long term, buy 2 eth and hodl for 5 years. Each one could easily be worth $10k to $25k in 5 years. Short term, pick some small market cap tokens. More risky but better returns in the short term. I like oyster pearl and there's a shell snapshot coming up on 04/06 for people who hold oyster.

Please diversify your Portifolio... don't just buy one coin, Go for good coins like NEM which is very cheap right now, EOS, and other project you think are solid and have a great future. now is the best time to buy them

Splitting it in half will much better to him since as of this moment ETH facing its upsetting downfall but although this time is the right time to buy still it will not guarantee for us to earn since looks like ETH will became stable and got long months before the huge pump came. But he could try to select to pic the other alts which had good potential.

Just divide your investment in 2 to 4 so you will not end up losing big amount of money in a single run. Putting your investment in one basket is not a good idea for me, so goodluck to your decision and may you end up getting some returns in your investment.

Get some coins from top of the coinmarketcap. But don't buy just an ETH, get few coins, at least 10 will be good, to lower risks.

ETH coin is also a very good coin. should know about ETH, soon you buy and wait till the price goes up. be ready to be rich. because rich is the desire of all people. good luck with coin ETH.

My favourite advice is to diversify whatever money you have, but I am sure 100% that you need to include etherium in your portfolio.

With the amount of money that you have, it is better to buy 2 to 3 altcoins bit by bit (averaging) to lessen the "risk" of losing big right away. It is not adviceable to all-in in one coin at this type of market that we are having right now. Here are some of the altcoins that you should consider on buying:

• WAVES
• LTC

Do your own research and don't listen to those folks who tend to pump coins so that you could buy their bags.

The coin I would invest most of my investments in would be the MaidSafeCoin this is an alternative to the majority crypto currency and has development dating back to 2006  it has the call to develop a decentralized Internet which has the potential for world adoption among all the crypto currency projects today.

Spend inf BSM this is a new coin and they have done something new which is not done by anyone till now.

Invest in this coin and it will turn your 1000 into 100K

I would buy coin that went on the exchange not so long ago and has the potential for growth. I would look at a BNB coin (BinanceCoin) - it has very good forecasts, in particular that the exchange will gradually buy coins from holders and burn.

I would no doubt have spent money on ETH or NEO

Better diversify your investment in to various coins rather than put in one coin to avoid risk. And better to maintain balanced portfolio. I would like to suggest to bought in the percentage of 40% BTC - 30% ETH -  30% NEO .

You better to divide your funds into eth and several alt coins, then you have experience in other alt coins too. So you can learn and also don't gamble all your money in one coins. You able to tak profit at the other coins and hold if got red.

My advice would be 50% in ETH and then research some new ICOs either still in sale stage or else just finished that may be in a dip, see if some technology catches your eye and invest :)

Look, majority of alts depends from BTC and ETH price, so if ETH is increasing, other alts too in terms of USD. But my suggestion is to buy some alts which can increase not only in USD, but in terms of ETH or BTC too

I'm going to do some research on new ICOs too.

Invest half of it in Ethereum and divide the rest in alt coins. You can go for coins like bitcoin cash, ripple and Tron.

if you have patience to hold for long term, why not it can double your money if you invest in ethereum. what about divide your money try to invest ongoing ICO it can triple your profit but its more risky.

Don't forget to buy Bitcoin because it will increase its value in due time. Better buy Bitcoin 30 %, Ethereum 30% and altcoins 40%. Make sure you study the altcoin before buying in to make sure you are not on a losing side.
