Title: 18TH/s of Bitfury ASIC Bitcoin Mining chips for auction
Post by: GalaxyASIC on October 27, 2013, 11:29:19 PM
I have decided to put 2 of my full factory sealed Bitfury ASIC Bitcoin Mining chip reels for auction.
With this chips you can build your own mining hardware.

I have several designers who are ready to offer PCB design for 1 chip, 2 chip, 8 chip, 10 chip & 16 chip boards. Winners will get all the contact info if they need it.

If you have relevant question you are welcome to ask them.

2 reels;
3,000 chips each reel
= 6,000 chips @ 3GH/s = 18TH/s
This is limited opportunity to buy at the discount vs official price of $60,000/reel and $25/chip in smaller quantities.

Each reel sold separately. You can bid for 1 or both reels like : 1@$32,000 or 2@$32,000. Highest bid wins.
Bit increments are in $2,000 USD

Tell your friends - maybe they wanted 18 TH/s system.
Or organize a Group Buy if there are few people who would want to share a reel.

Starting at $1,000, but you can pay in USD or BTC
Payment via BTC based on Coinbase sell rate https://coinbase.com/charts
and payment in USD via Bank Wire Transfer or ACH payment if you bank is connected to USA ACH network.

Timer removed. End time: 2013-11-01+16:00:00GMT

May we enquire into the reasons for selling, was it always the plan? Don't want to mine any more? Just see more value today?

Also could you clarify the 'extension' window for late bids, are we talking minutes hours or days?

My plan was to make 1 or 2 chip USB sticks and 8-10 chip boards, but my other non-bitcoin projects are demanding more of my time.

Extension is 2 hours unless potential bidder asks me for more time to gather the money - but on reasonable bases. I realize now that for some people it will be end of Friday and not all banks open on Saturday/Sunday.

Make sure to do your due diligence on this guy before trading.

He doesn't have a clean wrapsheet if you ask me.

Cheers

I have perfect trading record,
EnJoyThis - enough trolling, you were outbid in last auction, I never swindled anyone.

Well seemed you had 'two auctions' going on one public and one private. Don't say you did a honest auction, because you did not make the 'other' bid public.

Now you have both the forum auction and ebay (and private?), just saying ppl should do their own dd that's all.

It's not a typo, he PMed me asking questions about designs and offered more money to close auction early.
Would you take 2 @ 25K to ship these chips to me right now?

2 @25k ? ... lol , ok , you can help me do it with board designers. Want to do more of it, ie ? some percent ?

2 @30k , I'd go higher, but love to put the savings to next steps.

some people place bids on the thread and other people chose to bid in pm's, that's pretty much standard practice in my experience.

Or you can always convert those chips to NanoFury NF1 USB sticks :)

By the way - we spoke at length with Max about that and as he already mentioned it in the opening post - if the winner needs any help with getting the hardware design into production (e.g. minor board tweaks, switching parts/packages, new logo, etc) I can certainly assist with that.

I have suspicious about the 20k bid. Low post count. My suggestion is to put in your max bid anyways, even if its lower than 20k, because if he falls through, I imagine it will go to the second highest bidder, or the 3rd if the 2nd backs out, and so on/so forth.

Yes, everyone should put in their maximum offer. Who knows if at the end someone will drop out.

FYI: Clock provider disabled it
Originally auction was supposed to run till Friday 2013-11-01+16:00:00GMT with payment in 24 hours, but as I already said, I realized later that it will be end of Friday too late for some to go to the bank, so auction is extended over the weekend till same time Monday 2013-11-04+16:00:00GMT

Let's call the Auction over at 18:00, it was daylight savings yesterday and people could get confused.

Done , been 100% done since the AM. Galaxy and I got the deal done at 60k TOT. picked up and already sent off to my Rig Fabricator. I'd 100% do more biz with GA, or anyone else who wants to get rid of REELS of 2.7 ghash chips.

If I have any extra chips, will gladly send them over to some USB maker and we can make a deal , you get some, I get some ( to give away to employees ).  ;D
