I was wondering if this will ever happen or will it even be possible. Your thoughts? Title: Re: Is it time for Bitcoin to be a word in the dictionary ? Post by: adnanabbas on October 28, 2013, 09:57:15 PM I goggled it and couldn't find ::) ::), guess i wasn't googling hard enough.

There is not one dictionary. There are many. Google is probably the closest thing to one. And Wikipedia is the closest thing to one encyclopedia. Bitcoin is a word. That is not a problem. It is time for a Bitcoin wallet on every computer and phone. Title: Re: Is it time for Bitcoin to be a word in the dictionary ? Post by: BitDreams on October 29, 2013, 01:45:35 AM Good question. I predicted on a message board a couple years back i believe 'austerity' as the word of the year and it was.
according to - Word of the Year 2010 - Merriam-Webster Online www.merriam-webster.com/info/10words.htm Austerity According to http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bitcoin does not exist but they do have some suggestions... bitchin' biotin butt in bichon biting button... well you get it. So, if only Merriam-Webster actually had bitcoin as a word, I would say Bitcoin was the word of the year. Stodgy old Merriam-Webster, they'll be around for the Crowning I'm sure. |
