According to the Korea Times, the two partners will work together to bring cryptocurrencies to 6,000 outlets by the first half of the year, with a planned expansion to 8,0000 by the end of the year. Furthermore, some 200 franchise brands are also reportedly signing onto the initiative, enabling cryptocurrency adopters to use Pay’s mobile payment service platform to make payments in cryptocurrencies.

Cryptocurrency really blooms in Asia. First we have Japan and now we have South Korea. Soon it will be the Philippines. In the Philippines there are only a few stores that accepts bitcoin and other cryptocurrency and soon there will be more merchants that will accept bitcoin.

The cryptocurrency movement in South Korea is a good sign that cryptocurrency has really a good future and can really be used as a currency if a country allows it. With this we can expect bitcoin to increase its value this year.

I respect the Asian countries for their love of innovation and high technologies and their ability to fit harmoniously it into existing millennia-old traditions.

This news can be consider as good news but the main problem which have to be focused is the fluctuation of the price of crypto. Korea also has a big impact of founding the adaptation of crypto in different places all over the world. Furthermore, outlets can also be a tool to make the idea of crypto spread, there are also issues that is fud saying that Korea is banning crypto currency and now a news came out, which I do believe that the outcoume should be evaluated when proven accurately. Price will be the basis.

These are the news we need right now, we need to see cryptocurrencies being adopted by merchants and used in the real world, we need people to see that cryptocurrencies have a utility

its good news for bitcoin lover and korea lover like me, korea more modern and open minded about cryptocurrency after japan. the government give their support and making protection by rules about cruptocurrency in their country. its a good step and I hope another countries in asian can receive and give support like japan and korea.

It is indeed a good news which will help the btc to go back to 8k+. We are waiting for many such news to happen due to which the boost will happen and demand will rise. This is how we will have many people buying btc as they would like to make profits from this rising market.

I think that's not surprising, because korea is a country that most of the people are bitcoin users. a good move the Korean government will use crypto as a means of transaction, will facilitate and prosper its society.

Great, this is the best news of the day. It made me forget tiredness and anxiety in the days of crypto market decline seriously. Are you kidding me? Nothing comes even close to the progress of Japan in terms of crypto. Japan is much more open minded than South Korea, and the gap between them is only growing larger. That being said, I never get to see any actual usage figures of merchants or payment processors when it comes to crypto payments, which is a shame. I don't count on massive usage numbers, especially so because people aren't really that interested to spend their coins, but a rough indication would be appreciated. It would help pointing out whether usage is picking up or declining on merchant level. In the same way, that applies to BTM's as well. The only thing you hear is that new ones are being installed, and people online complain about the insane fees....

Not for the first time I hear that Korea is doing good business and this action confirms once again my good attitude to this country and their affairs.

South Korean culture is fascinating and I actually enjoy it a lot. There's a lot of respect in Asian countries... they're not perfect though.

I hope this is not some merchant service where they accept Bitcoin and then dump it to fiat immediately, although that is probably the first step. Have to start somewhere.

South Korer are always very forward thinking in design and ongoing technical aspirations, most of the top level products come out of Korea, and also emerging tech - I hope the world can look upon Korea as a leader and one as a whole to learn from.

Top investor in bitcoin belong to Korea, i think Korea and Japan is the top supporter of Bitcoin.

This is the type of news we have been waiting for during these last few horrible bearish months. People thought Korea was going to ban crypto currency so the mass sell off began, now we see they are moving towards mass adoption. Time for the bull market to start!

6,000 outlets is very impressive. wish in my land more stores that accept bitcoin. so far, i have not seen a lot of shops that accepts bitcoin in my land.

Well as everyone can see, Korea has always been ahead of the game. They were and will be the top volume for trading of cryptocurrencies. Businessmen to teens are trading Bitcoin. No wonder stores have already started accepting Bitcoin as payment.
