I bought a ASICminer from a member of this forum who sold them on eBay. So this seller got it from Outcast3k. I approach Outcast3k for a replacement warranty, but he will not replace it unless I bought it from him. But I bought it from a seller who bought from him.

This is what I don't understand about ASICminer warranty. If you bought a Samsung product, and it is faulty you take it back to any Samsung distributor in your country. But when it come to ASICMiner, I contacted the Official UK distributor Outcast3K about a faulty blade, he sent me to xyt the Official European distributor. Then they are not going to replace my faulty blade, because I didn't buy it directly from Outcast3k.

Do I need to contact friedcat directly for a replacement? This is like going to Samsung HQ in South Korea, when their regional distributor refused to accept the warranty.

Anyone know how I can get a replacement blade, it is advertised on this forum on all group buy, on eBay and on the official ASICMiner website, that they have 12 months warranty.

But when I need to use the warranty, it doesn't seems to be one.  ???

Unless the person that sold you the blade contacts outcast3k and confirms it, I don't think anyone will give you a replacement. If it's actually faulty and you paid him via paypal you can start a dispute and try to contact him in the 'hard' way. But please only start a dispute / chargeback if it is actually not working. Dont fraud.

Caveat emptor
your dispute is with the seller from ebay - not anyone else in the chain,
outcast3k and the rest can offer a replacement but they can [and will] charge a replacement fee

if the device did not work then it will be a dispute that ebay can sort

if not then .... dunno really IANAL

Like many things, the warranty is not transferrable.  Buy it second hand, you're buying it without a warranty.

Are you sure it's faulty?  They are a disaster to get working right - they're pickky about PSU, the management interface is a bit hoopy...what's wrong with it?
