As per my knowledge, Some investors invest in bitcoin when the price reach to 20,000$ but now price is hardly more than 10000$.
Should they loose their money?
But still investors are invest in why ?

I think this is best time for investing money in bitcoin because the price of bitcoin will rise very soon. So, they'll get a huge opportunity to make huge amount of profit out it of through selling when the price of bitcoin will again rise up.

Because they believe it will be good investment for them. Let's look at dude who bough in at 20k and now he is buying at 10k, so basically what he is doing behind the scenes is droping his average bought value per 1BTC with more he/she acquires over the dip. They haven't lost their money until the point they exchange their Bitcoins for another cryptocurrency or fiat currency, as long as they have btc, 1btc=1btc but the value of that bitcoin drops now. So they invest because they think it is good investment and that it was good deal at 20k and also even better deal at 7k or whatever the price can/could be within few months. The fact is that you have less of those people as many of them are driven heavily on their emotions while trading which is not good.

For the exchange market this is very common thing. Some people are losing their business because they are not at all aware. When price is dull they could do wait. As in leading line and for the popularity people are not leaving crypto.

Number two is the number one reason why investors keep investing in bitcoin no matter the outcome of their investment. The reason is because they have seen a few people make money with bitcoin and they want to emulate and achieve the same result as them.

Another reason backing the above one is that they maybe traders who believe in making a fortune while trading bitcoin to altcoins and they need to invest in bitcoin in order to have it and then to exchange to different altcoins.

8th times?! Thats weird ??? Probably he is the 'investor' who bought the BTC at $20k and calculating his loss made him ask numerous times (just an assumption though)

To OP, if investors who bought BTC at $20k knew that bitcoin won't pass that price last December, some of them won't have gotten it. Last year, with the way the price of bitcoin was climbing, many people rushed into it to make quick money but alas for them, the price dropped. Moreover, they didn't 'loose' their money cause BTC will still pump. Crypto investment needs patience.

Most of those who bought arround price of $20,000 have already sold their coins. Probably they sold their coins with small loss, and are now back in the game looking to restore money they lost. You are totally right about what you said, and yes there are those who kept holding even after huge price drop. What you said is maybe best approach that those people could take. Selling now would be insane for them, but I have not made decision to invest huge money like them so its only my opinion.
Its good that people have not lost their faith in crypto, because it would be sad to see everything go away.

Well bitcoin is not like ponzi scheme that has a fixed promise amount and in bitcoin no body can tell you what the price will be in the next minutes or hours or days because the bitcoin price is very volatile and at that there is no fixed or stable price so if you buy bitcoin when the price is $1000 and now the price is $7000 you stand to gain and again if you bought bitcoin when the price is $20000 and now the price is $7000 you see how much you have loss. But the advice is to hodl which is the only means to ex cape losses.

All currency and bitcoin will grow in the future. Weak investors sell at a loss, and strong investors hold until better times. Who do you belong to?

Why are you so sure that price of crypto will grow in the future? I believe that it could go both ways.
There are cases when holding is wrong way to go, in situations like that bailing out is smart thing to do, but everything depends on the situation. It is hard to distinguish when its time for bailing and when its time for holding. But you are right, most people act based on their emotions and sell when its time for holding and other way around. Things are not just black and white, there are gray areas also.  ;)

I thought that most of traders sold bitcoins when it was 20000$. If they invested they will just wait.
Technically yes - they are losing it now. But if they haven't necessity to sell it they can simply wait.

Though those investors lost the value of bitcoin but they still have the same amount. As long as you have the same amount of bitcoin you will still have a chance of earning when the price recovers in a span of time. If they are risking their money at 20k $ per bitcoin then  much more they will buy bitcoins at 9200$ which is more cheaper.

greedy people buy without any speculation - price goes up, then when the price goes down - those greedy people goes panicked and sells low - smart people buys and makes money - simple.

See, you need to be realistic with your goals. Bitcoins will again touch the $20000 mark but if you think that this will happen in just few days, you will be disappointed. Gradual increase is good as it means it is without any manipulation.

It is a long term investment.
When you buy BTC don't expect to make an instant profit, you have to hold it for months or even years.
It is also a risky field, you may win as you may loose. I don't think that if someone bought at 20k would sell at the current price.

I also invested in bitcoin and bought when bitcoin prices reached $ 20,000, but it's true that I was never afraid to do it again and I also bought it for $ 7,000 again yesterday, because I know bitcoin prices will rise.

It’s because they see the potential of bitcoin. Even if people see that going down of the value of bitcoin is negative, investors see it as a potential. People who are still holding despite losing more than half of what they initially invested are those who already written off that investment. And besides, they only loss on paper. They haven’t really lost it unless they decide to sell.

it depends on a lot of factors. an investor is not just waking up some day and decides to buy bitcoin and that day price doesn't happen to be at $20k! and it doesn't just fall down in an hour after he bought bitcoin!

an investor (a real one not a newbie throwing his money away) analysis the thing he is buying and when he sees the potential he invests his money. then depending on their strategy they act differently after they bought. some are short term investors trying to make some money in less than a day. they profit from swings. some are long term investors who see the potential and buy stuff to park their worthless money somewhere. for instance a long term investor has been buying bitcoin for over a year and has bitcoin ever since it was $900 and even if he bought above $10k they are still in profit and will be in a much bigger one in long term too. it is like saying those who bought when price was $2 and lost money when price dropped to below $1 are losers!!! no they have bought bitcoin at $2 and now it is ridiculously higher than that price even if it dropped more than half.

For some investor's that had bought btc when it was at $20K price value, definitely if they will sell t now, off course they will surely loss great amount of money. However, people are not that dumb wherein they would sell in the situation where it is a bear market instead they should have to hold it still and perhaps wait until such time, bitcoin could already recover from it's great dip. I personally believe that bitcoin will recover in due time and as to when, I would have to speculate that bitcoin could make a bullish run in the last Q4 of 2018.

You never know what the market will be like next. But if you do not know what to do, you will fail. The market fluctuates constantly, so you must always be ready to act. A plan does not just include the results you expect to happen, but you need to have specific plans for the worst situations.

Agreed, as an investor of Bitcoin we all know that Bitcoin is volatile and we cannot predict the value ahead, so as of now that the price is always flactuate, invest only an amount which you can afford to lose. And you wonder why other investor are still investing in Bitcoin while some loose it because this is the best time to buy a Bitcoin when price is low and hold then wait for the right time to sell when it is at peak.

My only advice to those who bought BTC for $20k is keeping it hoping BTC would reach $50,000 by the end of this year (though personally I can't see any prerequisites for that).
In my opinion, the psychological threshold is $5,000 - when bitcoin gets lower it would cause panic that we've never seen before and that will possibly destroy the market..

investment is not a simple thing for us to understand, it takes experience and learning for us to be a good investor. all need an observation to invest, although some suffered losses, but investors sure will benefit from others. as now the bitcoin value is falling, I think investors are also investing there, to achieve high profits later as bitcoin prices rise again. and I am sure it is.

Every individual has his or her own way of doing business, some people may run into it when the price was 20'000 thinking that it will keep growing like that and now that the price is below 10000 meaning that they might loose some money, but that cannot stop other from investing now because the price is going down. Some of them still invest when the price was $20000 because they plan to invest for long term like 5 years.They believe in the future the price will be much more higher,we are only six months from the last ATH,so it's normal to hold and wait.

Some investors are on long term investment even they are already lose they will hold it. Good to buy instead than selling this low rate. Yes waiting for the price to go up to have profit so patient is their key to earn.

Having faith is their main reason for staying in bitcoin despite the loss they suffered. Investors always look at the bright side instead of dwelling in the pain. They have high hopes for bitcoin because they believe that it is a key to success. Losing is just part of the process so it's normal but the fruit of patience is worth the risk and wait.

We never know what the future market looks like. If you do not know what to do. Your failure to fluctuate markets and you are ready to act quickly so that plans not only cover the results you expect to happen. You also need to have a specific plan for the worst situation not to recur. 8)

The least thing that I am seeing that is why they are losing part of their bitcoin is that they don't value it much, they are just after the income but they are not considering that bitcoin was most of the time also dumping, when bitcoin dumps they were panic and creating noise in the crowd.

As far as I know investors knew what they are doing. They knew the possibility of what if it won't work our successfully? What should be done. At the first place investors knew what the next perspective. Of course at this moment they still hold there coins.

It is true that there are many investors who bought bitcoins when its price is $20,000. But I think those who sell bitcoin when the price drop are those who only loss their money.  Meaning those who still hold their bitcoin possessions even the price drop still cannot be consider that they loss their investment because bitcoin still have the tendency to surpass the price of $20,000.  This is also the reason why still many investors keep buying bitcoins. It is simple, there was a hype that time when bitcoin market price reach to 19K USD. As investors seeing a huge market price increase they are still wanting to invest as the market price still increases that time. I bet there are only few of them who got hold their btc and sell at exactly 19K USD for other people at that time was selling some of it when BTC market price reach to 15k-17K USD. The hype for bitcoin was the main reason why bitcoin  has a high market price value.

Now that the demands for bitcoin is low then definitely bitcoin market price is down also. Just wait for some time that bitcoin will going to go hype if it will going to happen then for sure there will be a good market price increase in that period for bitcoin.

for me investing in bitcoin is a good way we can get profits by waiting for higher prices, for us even though now the price of bitcoin is falling, but for us it won't panic, because the growth of bitcoin prices also increases every day.

I think many people like to invest in bitcoin than others.
maybe they see how much money they'll get when they bitcoin invested. if you're a bitcoin investor know first how to run your money so you can not lose or lose as others just waste their money because of investing they are in bitcoin without knowing. should you invest in bitcoin know everything first so you do not repent and you do not blame people

Because that is how markets work. Someone has to loose for someone to make some profits. Those who but at all time highs are the ones who loose in this game most of the time.

many investors still believe in bitcoin, because they have proven themselves that bitcoin is not like the view of people, who rate bitcoin as negative. whereas in reality bitcoin is not like that, therefore investors still believe in bitcoin, even though currently experiencing bad things.

Bitcoin still not reached $10k this year and investors lost hope. I would suggest investors should stay away from this type of Bitcoin.

Be sure that 90% of those investors that lost money when bitcoin went down from 20.000$ to 10.000$ are not going to invest in bitcoin ever again because they learned their lessons and they also lost a lot of money back then. That's why people invest in bitcoin even though their chances of winning is lower, because there still exist a big chance to make profit and they play their cards on it.

The investors invest in bitcoin because they believe in the crypto currencies wether they loose or gain. Just like me i do invest only what i can afford to loose and i absolutely can control my emotions when i sees the market crashes and also i have a very high risk tolerance.
