Altcoins prices push the price of bitcoin up and down !!
if Altcoin is a simulation of bitcoin's path, so why not just bitcoin enough ??

Any altcoin owns its name, project and ideas, so why that altcoins are related in the pricing with bitcoin ??

Bitcoin's volatility isn't necessarily because altcoins exist; and who says altcoins are a simulation of BTC's path? Altcoins exist because they each have different goals to achieve. Not every altcoin is made as a online decentralized peer-to-peer currency.

Altcoins go up and down because trading pairs are always with either BTC or ETH (e.g. SC/BTC, NEO/BTC, XMR/ETH, etc).

Altcoin is created because they have their own project to prove, or they beleived that they are much better than bitcoin, as we all know most of the altcoin has a much better transaction fee and much faster rather than bitcoin.

no they do NOT. it is mostly the other way around. but altcoins may affect bitcoin price a little but I wouldn't say they are pushing it up and down!

because most of these altcoins are only created for trading purposes and nothing more. in fact the adoption for majority of them is purely from speculators.

Altcoins exist to diversify and provide new features to the original Bitcoin core, there are different blockchains for differing option, be they medical, game assets, public records and many more.

There is always volatility, whether this is in the BTC and ALT markets, oil, gas, gold and even wheat, It's a prospectors and traders world we are all in now.

the altcoins offer special and unique features and focus on specific problems and issues in the real world or in the cryptocurrency one. all of the cryptocurrencies are an implementation of the the block chain technology. saying we should only have bitcoin is like saying we should only have the iphone for touch screen technologies.

Regarding the projects, and its objectives, there is many project has not any problems to resolve and no meaning of being in the existence.

Firstly Roger, it is Bitcoin and thats it. And if you aren't Roger don't fall for that brainwashing crap the only reason they call it Core is so that Bitcoin Cash won't be called Bcash and has relevance (Bcash>Bitcoin Cash imo). Back to the point about Alts though, most of them exist purely to try and obtain more Bitcoin. I can't see a real reason for most of them, but some of the strongest will survive of course.

Altcoins exist because they either aim to fill a 'hole' in the market, or act to improve on the bitcoin feature-set. Plus bitcoins simply forks to keep up.

They are needed to use the service on platforms that are behind the altcoins. To pay for goods, etc.

Not all of them are related to bitcoin.  Each serves its own unique purpose.  They are almost like company stocks in a way.  Being decentralized and on the blockchain, all altcoins can help promote the blockchain. 

Luckily, you have nothing to worry about as bitcoin is still top dog :).

Altcoins as a substitute with bitcoin is a fair way of circulating cryptocurrencies. Take note that even with the real currencies, it varies. This is simply because this should not supposed to be monopolized by a single currency. Another altcoin should go along with it to provide balance in the cryptomarket. This is my opinion.

I will give you the best example for your question you know ethereum is good altcoin in all of different kinds of coin that run already in crypto and follow now by bnb,neo,bch and ltc so this 5 are going to be similar to bitcoin in future actually ethereum is already authorized here in my country so the of it go high a little because they authorized ethereum to exchange in our own fiat money so i say it is like bitcoin when it start and actually i do a lot of investing in ethereum

if you are saying why altcoin exist, it means you are automaticallysaying why Ethereum, why Bitcoin Cash etc etc. bitcoin has it is purpose, that is why it came into exist, while it purpose is been neglected, Bitcoin Cash came into exist to correct some of these error.
every altcoin has it unique purpose of been into existence just like bitcoin. and the existence of altcoins has nothing to do with the bitcoin market fluctuation. this is one thing every decentralize currency will always experience "Market Fluctuation"

yes that is reasonable, but the unknown thing in my thought is why all of altcoins affected by the value of bitcoin in the market, i think that because of the bitcoin is the principal peer of altcoins, so the altcoins do not affect themselves but the exchange is forced upon them to follow the basic value of trading depens on bitcoin.

I think it's all because of the available crypto trading platforms, Altcoins will surely able to influence the price of BTC everytime its hodlers will trade their tokens to bitcoin and convert their BTC in to cash.

It is exist due to many factors that affecting in crypto currency because there are many different token with changeable value in market place. Many investors also choice altcoins in the market trading.

I think altcoins are produced because of Bitcoin's slow transaction thats why other companies cannot accept it and make their own crypto to correct it. As we experienced on using bitcoin transaction that usually very slow and have a pending transactions almost reach for 1 week.

This was the case in early days when people did not understand on what protocol bitcoin really works and how. But as soon as bright minds started coming up then they started creating the copies of bitcoin algorithm which manipulated the working methods on blockchain. Then smart kids came up with idea of implementing their own blockchain over the traditional one and thus created all new ERC20 protocol on which most of the altcoins are lurking around.

However, though that is the case I dont think bitcoin is getting very much hampered with the altcoins market. I mean I know that whenever their is mass dumping of the altcoins then the money must be going into the bitcoin only and nowhere but have you checked or observed the market recently It is going all exactly in promotional way. Whenever bitcoin is falling the alts falling and vice versa. In general we are not sure about your statement and neither we can say that it doesn't affect it.

It's because the Blockchain Technology are continue developing and lot of already existed companies looking forward on adoption of Blockchain Technology in outcome they able to develop their own crypto that is being used to their ecosystem, and anyone have the right of privilege to do so.

Bitcoin is not perfect, it also got flaws and a lot of feature that maybe is not suitable for some people, and if only Bitcoin exist the price will become too expensive in the future, so alt coins was created to balance the BTC price and to fulfill some feature that btc doesn't has

Yeah, some altcoins have a good and faster transaction than bitcoin, so that's why altcoins are created because who created that also wants to gain profit, it is created for the owner's necessity and not for us, we just use altcoins just like how we use bitcoins. It is also like that, but once that there are more investors invest with altcoins then it will going to be better than bitcoin in the future.

From what I have seen, more than 90% of the altcoins are copycats or scams. These developers try to exploit the popularity of Bitcoin and Ethereum by creating their own coins without hardly any added value. But there are notable exceptions as well. For example, coins such as Byteball and Monero are not copycats, and they have unique purposes.

altcoin is made with the purpose of replacing the main virtual money that is bitcoin, altcoin is created with different ideas and systems with the goal will be able to give uqng virtual better than bitcoin

What btc cannot do probably they are trying to create a niche for themselves and overcome those empty spaces so that people have a choice and invest in the future. Also as btc could not be afford by everyone so those altcoins are very cheap and can be bought by majority of the people too.

None of the above is sustainable and many cities have begun banning Bitcoin Miners as it is exceeding the infrastructure ability to hold it and increasing electric bills for all that are unfortunate enough to live near one.

Why are their alts coins, because the world needs a Coin to provide the services without the downfall of PoW.

because it all starts from bitcoin, the presence of altcoin is certainly because bitcoin becomes the first. there are many altcoins that are born with new ideas and innovations in it in the direction of advances in technology. and this is commonplace in the crypto cycle. you have to understand, everyone has a different idea. and like itupula occurs in altcoin. although not all altcoins have a chance in the future. but with so many innovations and technology-based shows the development of crypto very rapidly.

Altcoins exist this is so because not all functions and uses can be accomoditted by bitcoin there are functions and uses of altcoins that are also welcome by the customers or the enduser of this altcoins, from the name itself alternative coins so they offer special uses that is why this altcoins will exist along with bitcoin.

i the think that many projects of altcoins are honest and they are treat a real problems as ethereum and litecoin and many others, from another hand they stays as investments, anything is possible in the investmen people can win and lose money, but when we speak technically i think yes many project may they are better than bitcoin functions like speed and wallets and objectives and blockchain options and mining execution.

And if we try to look back in the very beggining, when bitcoin created by the generous creator a certain name Satoshi Nakamoto, we don't see altcoin in that time, but time passes by, a lots of coins introduced and launch in the market, as what I have analyzed, altcoins are something a back up on bitcoin business on which people decides for another form of choices. Altcoin is created by Derek Nisvet and also a bitcoin fan, but if we try to count on how many altcoins that continuously created today, it was more than one thousands of altcoins today in the market.

we need different alt coins for different purposes... thats the way i see it. I also think competetion is healthy for the market. It can only make everyone better. But I don't think we can have one coin to serve all purposes.

first of all altcoins does not push btc anywhere.

Altcoins have a completely different purpose like eth/neo/eos and others they can be used to make tokens for your project, other alts are a lot faster than btc. Btc is not universal .

who told you that price of altcoins pushes the price of bitcoins?cant you see the trend?bitcoin dictates what the price of altcoins will be.if the value of the Great coins grows,all the alternative coins will grow,but if bitcoin losses price then same as the other coins..so youre wrong in saying such word..about your question why altcoin exists,its because the great coin needs companions to offer other services and to make their own path here in crypto

altcoins does not affect bitcoin directly, otherwise i feel that bitcoin is able to affect the price of other coins. and if you ask why altcoins is exist, because the cryptocurrency technology continues developing, the expert keep make a new inovation from the technology, and i think this is really good to maintain existence of the cryptocurrency in the future!

That on the exchanges there are pairs of any alts with a BTC - this ensures the price dependence.
I understand that this is the choice of the exchanges themselves, what pairs they trade in.
I think that over time the situation will radically change and individual projects will become independent and it will be logical.

The basic thing why we are also using bitcoin along with altcoins was very simple if bitcoin is die we have altcoins in our hands it is the common answer but bitcoin very powerful and very effective so it will not die soon .

the wierd thing is that alt coins follow bitcoin it was not always like this if bitcoint went down most altcoins went up and vice versa, now they all follow each other, thats why i belive there is some big market manipulation going on.

You see, it's more correct to say that it is bitcoin affect altcoins prices than opposite. All of them were created just in the chase of demand and greedy wish to make money on this and nothing more. Today the demand on everything about crypto is high, that means that we can expect the appearance of new and new coins and projects based on crypto and Blockchain.

Altcoins have different goals and objectives other than bitcoin. This act as the alternative of bitcoin. Besides, they more like bitcoin clones having some differences in it. So, Altcoin is not simulating bitcoin's path and most of the time, they work independently.

I think Bitcoin's price doesn't depend on ALT coins always. Every altcoins has some unique role and features and so the price moves up and down. But yes, bitcoin price moves a bit up or down since altcoins trading are done with BTC or ETH.

I think your perception of bitcoin volatility is wrong, I understand your assumption that altcoin controls the volatility of bitcoin.

basically, a child cannot control the parent. Thus, the bitcoin being the standard altcoin value, altcoin value volatility has no effect on bitcoin.
