Title: [SOLD] Apple MacBook Air (13-inch, Intel i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD)
Post by: ekiro on October 30, 2013, 02:48:32 AM
I'm selling my 2012 Apple MacBook Air for Bitcoin!

- It's in excellent condition.
- Works flawlessly.
- Includes original accessories, documentation, and packaging.
- Ships to you in it's original cardboard box!

It's got an Intel i5 1.8GHz, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, and 13.3-inch Display.

The 1-year Apple warranty has unfortunately expired. No AppleCare.

Free shipping! Ships to you via USPS Parcel. That's included in the listed price.  And of course faster shipping options are available at the buyer's expense.  Add an additional BTC0.1 for international shipping.

I have no one to vouch for me, so we'll use escrow. Feel free to throw out recommendations.  And if for whatever reason the item is not as described or your unhappy with it, I'll pay for return shipping. No hassle.

Asking price:  BTC4.5 ~ $925

I'm open to best offers!

Where are you located? Nevermind, I just saw you're located in the US. Import taxes to EU will be about 1BTC if you state the real price tag.... Pity; I really wanted one of these...

I can ship it to Poland or another nearby country where the tax is low or nonexistent... Oh and where customs won't steal my stuff! ;)

If it were for me, I'd use bitcoins for my entire financial needs... Greece is a terrible place to live (tax wise). I really want to organize a political party to regulate bitcoin as a national currency.  >:(

Received a couple PM offers but not sure if they are serious... yet.

Buyers beware. I think this is the same person who was trying to sell the Apple products before. Check out the post.

See the similarities? Also, the account was created on the 26th, the last day the "Aco" account was logged in. If you look at the posts on both, you will notice the handwriting and hardwood floor are the same.

Also lives in the same vicinity (what are the odds?)

I think he made a new account because his trust on his last one was so negative.

I'm in the process of escrowing this via DZ but asked for some extra pictures of the item and don't have them yet. Also I've asked to pay via Paypal and he didn't want to (which I find weird). I will post the results (positive or negative) here asap...

Probably doesn't want risk of charge back.

No point in PM-ing anything to you anymore. Might as well resume dialog publicly. In here.

What additional pictures do you want?  I can't boot up the system and show you a screenshot of the specs.  It enters the setup process.

You also asked me to send the box as a RMA.  Not sure what you mean by that.  Give me specifics.

1. Pictures are required for me to check about dents. (You're referring so, on your ebay listing)
2. RMA shipment is (as I've told you) to avoid custom's tax.
3. Never asked for pictures of the system booting.

We might as well cancel all this. Good luck with your sale.

I'm no longer interested in selling to you.

However, you do bring up a good point about the dents.  I mentioned they are tiny and minimal.  When you hold the Air in front of you, you will NOT notice them unless your specifically looking for them.  I even had trouble capturing a good picture of them, but I managed to get these after unboxing and opening up the package again, just for you. Anyway, these are the only defects my eyes could spot.  If you find any more on them, I'll fully refund you. You send it back. End of story.

There are no heart feelings. Deals are being set and break everyday between people; that's how it works. FWIW: I wouldn't have any problems with the dents (but I'd definitely lower the price tag if I saw them earlier... kudos to you for posting them). As I previously wrote, I have no problem with you and I wish you get your price tag. The machine (other than the small dents) looks perfect.

Regards and good luck.

Selling it isn't a problem.  It will get my asking price on eBay. For sure.  But I'd prefer to trade for BTC. I don't want cash, period.

And no I am not lowering the price any further.  The tiny cosmetic blemishes have been accounted for in the asking price.

I paid a retail price of ~$1.3K. For those living outside the US, your cost would have been even higher.  And they still are.

$925 is a great price. Whatever that equates to in BTC.

I'll update this Thread when it's sold.

If it was europe I'd be interested but you have different power supplies in the states etc plus I'd probably have to pay customs a big wedge too. good luck.

You can always buy a power adapter for your country and attach it to the power cable.

Item can be shipped via USPS as a RMA if you wish to dodge customs.
