While the traction with BTC used to be slow, these days everything has changed. More people are buying, selling, adopting, and converting their storefronts to accept BTC at their locations. It is huge, and there is no obvious way other than stickers that shout out "HEY! WE ACCEPT BTC!".

Am I going blind? I can't see a price.  How much for shipping to Australia?

Price is calculated and generated upon current BTC rates, however, its equivalent is currently at $250 USD fiat, shipping not included. That part is automatically calculated at checkout depending on where your location is since it's by weight and not all locations are created equal :)

I'm trying to cover all my basis as I want to remedy the negative vibes I get when unfortunate shipping incidents occur :P It's mostly just to protect the buyer. I'd rather be safe than sorry with packing regardless of how easy neons can or can't break. It's shitty to get a bad product because of mishandling; always disappointing.

The packing only adds an extra 1lb from the actual sign and stand it comes with though, so its not too much additional cost wise for shipping. If buyers look at the packing setup we have in the imgur album, I think the peace of mind is worth it alone. :D

I picked up my sign last night from the UPS depot. It's a beautiful sign. Very well made and BIG!  Now I just have to find a place to hang it!

I'd like to report that there was a $95 charge owing to UPS when I went to pick it up. I'm in Canada, so anyone else in Canada should expect this charge.  The charge was about $30 for HST owing to the government and the rest was brokerage charges to UPS for clearing customs.

Also the tip-and-tell was entirely bright blue.  Obviously UPS doesn't honour instructions clearly marked on the container.  Otherwise, the sign was very, very well packed and unharmed despite the bungling of the carrier.

Yeah I just ordered a Bitcoin sign on X-Mas and I thought the price was reasonable. I really wish they had Litecoin ones in stock as well!  I will keep my eye out for one.

Hey guys! About the Litecoin signs -- they were a small promotion going on for reddit and #OTC which lasted for only 7 days. I didn't get a chance to get more than 10 requests for them since the person who works on my signs was offering to do a small order for them. Usually we need to order signs in bulk but there was a special exception made. The whole thing was actually an accident since it all started with a question to coblee. :P

If they are a success, and when we get another batch made, I will be opening up the offer again to BTCT. So I roughly guestimate in another 3 months or so. I'm glad to see theres some interest though, cool!

i just made an order of PCIe risers 4pcs 16x and 1x 1x. Do you have ETA for shipments here in Philippines? Hopefully i can get it asap then i will buy more so i can build more rigs. I've been looking for those cables all around my city and i found none. I was also thinking of buying in bulk and reselling them if i see huge demand in my country.

Depends if you sent a fee or not. If you didn't see it takes longer to confirm. If you sent a fee it will be confirmed faster. Also the shipping time depends on your customs and how fast or slow they are in regards to package inspections.

Long story short I had placed an order to get more BTC Neons rebuilt and they were already placed in a schedule queue, and only had a few days to gather LTC orders. In order to stay in schedule queue for delivery, I could only do so many signs. So in order to gauge the interest, I went to some LTC devs first and asked if they were interested for promotional purposes, which covered the max I was alotted. I do have some extras coming just in case, so I wouldn't worry much. Plus, I have you on my priority list. :)

Once these signs arrive and I have taken photos, etc, and have a few of them to display then I will fully be taking another short run of them (for a longer duration). The LTC signs were basically an after thought in the middle of scheduling.

Yup, these LTC signs are considered a Trial order. We had to get at least 10 LTC Signs for a Trial, so more than likely I will have an extra for ya.

Can i make a request on my order? Can you please not put any price on the package and just say that it was a gift? Or if you are going to put price, can you please write it in bitcoin instead? Coz the customs in my country are bunch of crap, if the item reaches more than 50USD then we will be charged for tax for the same price of the item.

Only 110v as the transformers are built for the US. If you can find a Neon shop if your location you can swap the transformer though and have them redo that part I'm sure, but you'd be paying out of pocket for that.

We estimated January but got pushed back due to bad weather and the holidays. Also it was just an estimate, and they are subject to change. We have a more stable date now. We are not BFL, and wont tell ya 2 weeks if its not true. Sorry mate!

Hey smoothie! Great question.

All UPS shipments will be leaving Wednesday afternoon and will include a tracking number.

The only exception for the shipments for Weds are those shipped USPS. They will have a slight delay if they are going to AK, HI, APO, etc, since they need to go through the USPS and manually be dropped off there for Standard Post (Standard Post is not offered online). The warehouse in NY never goes to the post office (since all the cables and small items are shipped from California) so they need some extra time to make the hike there and transport the sign in a safely/timely manner, as well as get a truck to get them all there at the same time.

Since you're in Hawaii you're going to see a slight delay with yours, but it will get there, promise! We're looking at around March 6th for the non-cont. states., I have an open book policy so feel free to ask if you have any further questions. Hope this makes sense. :) Cheers

Hello!

Since I have a totally transparent and open door policy with my shop, I need to send this notice out to those who have received a shipping notification from the UPS.

I am currently remoting in from NYC, and due to unforeseen circumstances, the shipment for the signs to go out tomorrow (2/20) has been delayed for departure until 3/5.

Due to the large batch of orders that were placed and that need to go out, I flew out to the warehouse to ensure everything would go smooth, and then depart back to CA the next day. Unfortunately, as reliable as UPS is (joke joke), they never showed up for our scheduled appointment and needed to reschedule. So, thats strike one for today.

So why can't they go out the next day?

Good question. Cryptocables is usually a 1 wo(man) gig with the exception of the NYC warehouse which is ran by my brother getting things out the door. While he is exceptional at doing this, I will be perfectly blunt here, he is going on 2 trips, one being Vegas to party and will not be around until 3/5 to return to the shipment.

This includes Acrylic desktop signs as well.

I do apologize for the total delay on this. If anyone has any questions or concerns please feel free to email me at any time and I will do my best to get back to you the same day.

Certainly you grasp the concept of why people would be jumpy for updates. I have a cold too, it doesn't cause my fingers not to work, nor neglect my primary job, and my mining operation. :)

I think the issue was most of us didn't understand completely how a missed pickup resulted in a further delay, but thank you for providing the update. </crankiness>

It was mentioned in the post why the the further delay happened (basically, a red eye party vacation to Vegas was scheduled that night).

As penance for complaining about delays.. I wanted to post some pictures of what arrived at my doorstep. It was packed EXTREMELY well. I was very concerned as the outside of the box was damaged, however it had 3 boxes for layers.

This isn't the permanent spot, but it will be in the general vicinity of my bar / game room.

Any advice for mounting these signs to a wall? I've had mine for a few months, but am just now setting it up. I really don't have any clue what I'm doing, and will likely call up my sister to help. ;)

They're able to face both ways (window front , and hobby). If you have a window you want to put it in, you most likely will need a steady hook and chain system from the ceiling (or if you have wall room, make sure its sturdy). This will allow you to see it from outside the glass window since theres no wall to nail it to.

If you want to hang it just normally on a wall (hobby room style), even though it weighs 15lbs, I recommend getting one of those 50lb nail sets with 3-4 nail holes just to hang it in normally from Lowes or HD. You can do a single or double row, whatever makes you more comfortable; either works fine.

Some of us were willing to buy LTC signs for months, but the "auctions" never transpired.

The last of the LTC signs were in an unfortunate situation. The truck they were transported in was in an accident and broke coming from the Warehouse. I refuse to sell broken signs. It was always an intent to auction them, but at this point its not happening. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be happy with a broken, auctioned sign. Sorry.
