Any thoughts on how far it will drop? Is Ethereum a better play right now?

If you check the market prices, you'll see that both coins, bitcoin, and ethereum, have low prices. No one knows if they continue to fall in the coming weeks or months Due to regulations, bad rumors and other reasons, we are facing a big correction in all alts. This is not the end of the crypto world. Bitcoin is the most known crypto and after the implementation of Lightning in the coming months it will regain higher prices again. By the way, I believe it is a good opportunity to invest in both coins, but don't spend more money that you can afford to lose.

Market cap is also going down, personally i think that soon btc will breakout and then it will find good bullish momentum till new all time high price, i hope april and may will be big for btc.

The trend of the market is currently that of a downward move, there is really no way of telling when it will reverse.

yes, ethereum now seems to increase compared to bitcoins whose prices fluctuate erratically even now tend to fall. so, try investing in ethereum.

I think btc will recover int he few months and it is still a good choice for us to make.

No one can know how far this falling down will be stop since bitcoin price are unpredictable but my own prediction it will go down to $6k and then pump up again to $9k to 10k.
In the case of ethereum the price also falling down but this downtrend is the best opportunity to buy more since ethereum reach $1k + and for sure a little pump up can give you a good profit Im also planning to buy more ethereum and hold to my wallet.

Nobody know when bitcoin will back to normal price but in my opinion it will be in near future ( maybe few weeks ). But lower price bitcoin will be always better option than ethereum

I am not sure if the market will continue to dip before it really recovers.
My plan is trying not to care about bitcoin price, and riding the waves of altcoins/bitcoin.

but, don't worry, bitcoin price will growing more and hit another All time high in this year

Right now the market is dipping so much, but i dont think it is the end yet because we experienced a 5-6k usd price for bitcoin that time and yet it goes back to 10k. So im just waiting for the price to come back to top again i wont sell or will do anything that will make me regret.

There is no limit how far it will drop soon or later but as far as i know about some people are talking about the bitcoin whales are tried to pull back the market. A big bullish already happened last year and a big bearish must have happened in this year. Another big bullish will come again soon or later. But in fact with recent news about social media ban for crypto advertisement and that gives the more pressure to the ether.

maybe bitcoin is in dip right now it doesn't mean that it's going to stay in this position. bitcoin will definitely bounce back in the coming days.

Yes no one can predict what happen to the cryptocurrencies, but right now bitcoins price is getting low so it means expect a low price, bitcoin is falling down so we can assume that in few months later bitcoin will rise again, so right now you need to hold because the price is to low, sell your crypto coins if it will rise again to earn profit.

OMG, people are still thinking about buying ETH. People, why are you so stupid? :)  ETH was 0.08 BTC a month ago. Now it is 0.05 BTC.

I'm one of the people who suffered losses when the price of Bitcoin dropped dramatically, it is a lesson for me,  :(

Actually No one could guess or tell what will happen to bitcoin. But right now bitcoin price is getting low so it means expect a low price.

I think BTC will be fine, it just depend on how strong you believe in the technology as for Ethereum do not go there because this year all those ICOs especially those that collected money from US citizens may have to return those funds and Ethereum is one of them. ICOS have been deemed securities so where do they run to from here

Nope, bitcoin is in a down for some time but it's price will pump in next months and after that we will be able to just earn and gain profit, maybe it will hit even 50k in next year, who knows.

At this time is very early to say Ethe is playing good role because market is in dump condition all currencies had been gone down ......

BTC will rise again, will return to its former, in the same way ETH.

We are all concern on different situation on bitcoin business, but it is a nature that sometimes the status of bitcoin will move forward and backward, and being a new in this business, I am more on practical observatory techniques, on how to become a crypto business man soon.

No one can predict how far the price will fall, i believe Bitcoin and Ethereum will recover again and this time is best time to buy some coin for invest.

Actually what we're experiencing now is a long bearish trend and we don't know exactly when this end and surely many weak hands are shaken by this and market will be worst. So there's two things is best to do, buy and hold and put more trust to bitcoin.

Ethereum was rumored to be experiencing a considerable decline. so many are worried about the coins they hold. but do not worry too much, I see Ethereum again showing a pretty good improvement and gradually.

Not just rumored but it was actually happened. But I did not lost my hope on ETH future because they were working on it to recover the biggest dip of the coin. They are one of the toughest coin in cryptocurrency and I will just wait the quick rebound on it since I had purchase the coin for a low price. And I am confidently Eth will be better and efficient to every holders and traders for the upcoming time.

Yeah rummors and fears of regulations are knocking the prices down, mostly the guys who invested a lot and are unexperienced, they panic sell so the market is (like always) very unstable

I think this is the best time to check your patience, now people will learn how to make decisions when dip comes. the everyday price drop is making me panic to sell my altcoins but i am controlling my feelings and holding my coins. actually before hourly, once i was checking price list but now i am checking price list 3 or 4 times per. you are right to believe in bitcoins and try to buy more altcoins.

I think the bitcoin price will recover in the next few weeks, but the problem is that every time the price recovers, someone always begins to dump and keep the price down.

Where do you see it? Why does no one see this but you? All altcoins are an appendage to bitcoin. Now we see the consequences of a serious attack on bitcoin. I expect a substantial decline in the prices of all altcoins. But they will recover immediately after bitcoin starts to grow in price. It is possible that those who will have at the hands of altcoins will receive more income than those who will hold bitcoins.

Two bitcoins exchange in japan closed their service due to the regulation from japan to prove the security measures from the exchange itself. That makes a lot of sense why the price of bitcoin was getting another decline. Ethereum just follow bitcoin at this stage. it looks like twitter is not banning all service advertisement in the crypto.

As you see in the coinmarketcap all coins is dipping right now but sooner im sure it will comeback.

I think that the market will begin to recover not very soon. Perhaps this year there will be no price increase. I'm preparing for the fact that we all have to wait very long time.

Bitcoin's value continues to drop and obviously the market bleeds. As far as I remembered Bitcoins highest value happens last year (2017). When it reaches a bombastic amount of $20,000.00. If we're going to analyse what else going to happen, I might say that this blood bath in the market will continue until July 2018. The reason is that a lot of unexpected events happened continuously as the year started and players are still recovering from their losses. And in order to cut this unwanted bleeding in the market the block chain community should strictly control the entry of New ICO and focus on the welfare of the existing Coins in Market.   

It is impossible to predict when bitcoin and other alts falls or grow because no one can predict what will happen in our market. But almost all of us can tell that our market will keep recovering and growing when dips occur. Let's just wait patiently and keep learning to help ourselves in investing in our market.

For long-term investments it is better to buy bitcoin, because its emission is limited in contrast to Ethereum.

If we choose to focus on ethereum and bypass bitcoin i don't  think it is the solution, all coins are down and not only bitcoin got affected. Never get discouraged by the market issue, this is the best time to buy bitcoin and other good altcoin.

I would say that Bitcoin will be ok and those people who own the biggest world media (Bloomberg, Forbes, BBC, etc), as well as the businesses behind, will be as always doing maximum gains from the manipulation of bitcoin price. At this moment no one knows what will happen to bitcoin price in the nearest future. If to look further my strong belief is still on the bullish side and I am pretty confident of BTC to reach 40K in the year 2018. So let us just wait and see!

This is true, Ethereum lost some of its value compare to Bitcoin, but this is not making Ethereum bad investment. Ethereum will recover very fast when the market kicks in.

in my opinion, all coins today are just like bitcoin that decreases and decreases. do not know also because bitcoin down is what and need to find the problem also. because this is quite disturbing.

Like what already happened with ethereum few days ago when bitcoin was only getting not more than 4 percents recover from the bottom value and ethereum gets around 10 percent recover from the bottom value.
Ethereum was started from 0.000 bitcoin with it comes to the ico price.  ::) ether still becomes a very good investment for the majority of people right now.

nothing its going to happen to bitcoins,,because not only bitcoins that is depreciating,,all others coins does as well,the nore bitcoins dupreciate the more and more other coins does as well,,for those that have bitcoins aside that,we are all aware what is happening in the market Thread now,,it will be okay if we can hold it till market will comes back to normal

ETH is definitely a better play, cause it's more stable at the moment, but on the contrary I think that BTC isn't going to fall anymore

Ethereum is associated with bitcoin, like all other coins, and if Bitcoin goes cheaper, Ethereum will also become cheaper. Therefore, it makes no sense to choose Ethereum instead of Bitcoin.
