Hi guys, we are Bitcoin Brains, a new brick and mortar Bitcoin store opening soon in Calgary Alberta.

We are aiming to open sometime in mid-November.

Our goal is to make Bitcoin and all related technologies more accessible to the general public.

We will be selling mining equipment, Tresor Wallets,  Piper Printers and any other Bitcoin related products that we can think of.

I'd love to hear some feedback from the community. Tell me what kinds of products/services you would like to see in store.

I think this is a great idea. So exciting to see it in Calgary. Probably ahead of other markets like Toronto and Vancouver. I know a lot of people will welcome the opportunity to exchange coins and gear. Well done.

Really excited to see this, was quite disappointed to see the lack of BTC support in Calgary.

Will be there opening day to get some BTC!

Do you have enough merchandise to warrant a fully fledged store?

Right now we don't have a ton of merchandise outside of our mining equipment.
We have Trezor wallets on order and we have a Piper paper wallet printer now as well.
We are also working on educational starter kits for people new to Bitcoin or new to mining.
Let me know what kinds of things you would like to see in there.
We are open to anything Bitcoin related or even just anything that would have a significant crossover appeal with the Bitcoin community.

Will you be selling online as well?

Will mining equipment manufacturers really sell to distributors at a "distributor price"?

Maybe see if 7bucktees would work with you on getting a bunch of bitcoin tshirts? They made me up a Canadian bitcoin shirt upon request, so sure they would do a lot more custom pieces.

UGHHHH as excited as I am to see this in Calgary, I am not excited about travelling in this weather. Glad to hear about you guys though! I will be visiting you when you open!

This sounds unique and really interesting. Lucky Canada, all the interesting stuff is going on in the north!

I'm really curious...what made you decide to open up a shop like this? Is there really enough local interest to warrant a full-fledged shop? Do you have any backup plans in case interest in Bitcoin--or the value of Bitcoin itself--wanes?

I really suggest posting about this on the Bitcoin subreddit, you could get a lot of attention!

Yeah the interest here is huge and its growing everyday. We believe that even at current levels it will easily be enough to warrant a stand alone shop. As the interest and adoption levels grow we will all benefit.

I will be posting something on Reddit when we are closer to our opening date.
