Well, "feared" is not the world I should use to describe those who earn millions of dollars due to their investments, mate. Precisely, the volatility of BTC make of it one of the smartest investment, but you have to understand the market. By taking a look at the data you shared, I just can see an opportunity, for investing in bitcoin is the most profitable idea you can have. Of course, it is really unwise to buy bitcoin when it is at the top, but, on the contrary, think about those ones who had btc when it was at $400and lower!!
Definitely, this is not a feared investment if you understand the market.

I don't considered bitcoin as fear investment but rather it is a good investment if you know what you are doing in bitcoin.

If there are who feared bitcoin there are who loves bitcoin. During the bitcoin crash there are many who cried and there are many who have jumped for joy since they can buy bitcoins at a lower value. If you fear bitcoin then you will not earn in bitcoin just like fearing to put up a business because you think it will not be successful. In any kind of investment ad business there are ups and downs this also includes bitcoin since that is the nature of market and investment. The world of business and crypto is like a seesaw in order for someone to gain someone must lose but sometimes there is also balance and nobody lose or win. Well, you just summarized and said it yourself but this was by looking it on a negative aspect. If you consider the jumps and pumps, one can actually earn threefold of their profit if they let time matured their investments. Going back, 5-6 weeks ago the prices of bitcoin fell to around $6800 and after a week, it regained its current price by around $8000. If people invested when the dip happened, then they would have at least earned profits relative to their short-term investments.


That is why bitcoin is categorized as a 'high-risk, high-reward' type of investment due to its nature being volatile and decentralised as compared to other investment mechanisms. Like in any other investment that you make, consider all of your money invested as the money that you are willing to lose in order to mitigate the damage once its price decreases significantly. Only invest the amount that you are willing to lose but this may also hinder you from earning large amounts of profits. The choice is yours to make!

I do not think it is feared because as the time goes by more people are investing on it. Yes we all know that Bitcoin is a highly volatile and there are times that you just want to punch the screen because the price swings so fast. Now that crypto currency investment are getting popular as an alternate investment as you mentioned big names has also have their opinions about it. We know that some thinks that Bitcoin is a bubble and some thinks that Bitcoin will go to the moon. There are mixed opinions with crypto currency but my advice is  you should not listen to them you should do your own research and make your own opinion and decision.

very true. it is very scary that you could have bought bitcoin at $1000 last year and in about a year you could sell that for $20000. in other words if you have invested $10k in bitcoin in 2017 you had $200k in 2018. that must give you nightmares for sure. not to mention that the same $10k in 2015 meant $1 million in 2018 and don't get me started in a longer period of time from back when price was $10

For me, bitcoin is not the most feared investment. All investors need to accept that the price of bitcoin is always have ups and downs. Yes, bitcoin investment is very risky, but it is a good investment. I don't think so. Honestly in every investment always remember that there's what you called risk. Just like in any business bitcoin has its own risk that people is afraid of. Bitcoin is a frightening investment because you are very liquid and volatility. However, you will earn more than bitcoin compare to other investment. The bank is afraid of bitcoin especially if the bull market is bitcoin's market increasingly disturbing the government and the bank to overthrow the bitcoin. Bitcoin a decentralized without being able to control bitcoin may even increase its price or may fall too.

i wish that some day we can be rid of simple minded people like OP who buy some small amount of bitcoin and then constantly spam about it each time its price makes a movement with weird statements out of his ass like "most feared investment"! that day we can have a much healthier market with smaller whales because these whales can no longer milk people like OP.

 think the reason why they are fear of investing on bitcoin because they still think that it is a scam or a fraud, as simple as word "fear", people's nature is to fear what they don't understand.  Some of people and investors thinks that bitcoin is still a bubble even if it ran in a long year existence. The entrepreneurs are risk takers and also the wise man once said, take a risk and be a part of the millionaires. They fact that we should try to look at is that each time it surpasses the ATH then a new floor is made. This floor is important and this where you really see whether the price had increased or not, whether it grows or not. It is natural to have this volatility since it is not that widely known but in the future, there would be more demand and larger market which will make the BTC a bit stable than what it is now.

indeed it is the riskiest investment especially for the new traders who aim to be millionaires with only 1000$ now and this volatility on the other hand is what  makes money for traders.

I would say rather than feared, bitcoin is the most volatile investment. Yes, it has huge potential to moon, and shoot past $20,000. But in that same space of time, it could also collapsed to 1/4th of its initial value. This makes it a difficult asset to invest in, as you never known whether it has ballooned too high, and about to pop, or if it's fallen low enough to initiate another bull run.

If we try to analyze on its value from its cheap amount to expensive, we can think if we're able to invest way back 2 years ago and we invest a huge amount probably we can have a great amount of profit but somehow it so risky situation which we can even know if it would be successful. Most people are staying away from bitcoin since there have been scams as well.
