Title: Local / Community Currency integration - education and spreading the word
Post by: prophetx on October 31, 2013, 09:49:49 AM
Local currencies have been around for decades and centuries...

For example http://www.berkshares.org/banks.htm - I know of a few others as well linked to new age type communities around the world.

Using Color Coins or Mastercoin, would bring these things into the 21st century.

What are your thoughts on how to get the word out and educate these communities that they have a technology available to them that can help integrate all of these disparate local systems?

Exactly that, getting out to the community & showing people in-person what Crypto is all about.

I was recently at our local town hall & had a 3 hour discussion with over 100 people (I am a member of the town council) - it's great once you get the conversation started, the hardest part is initiating the discussion.
