Sorry for this thread , people are saying that the best move for now is hodl, wait, hodl, WATI! considering this time's bitcoin price. But i've been wondering, what if the community take action, united, then buy like at least $100 or any amount you have simultaneously ( since it is good time to buy at low price) first before enraging HODL and wait!
I know it's easy to say but what is it's impact or is this already experimented?
And there are also what they call HOLY whales to maintain the good price.
Share your thoughts. Thanks!

Funny, I was also thinking of the same thing. Buying simultaneously to increase the demand and cancel out or at least balance he movement of the coins in the market instead of just letting everyone to continuously dump their coins.

However, I don't think it will be possible to increase the price just by buying altogether. There are other factors affecting the dip and the price of the coins, both intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Moreover, despite a lot of people holding their coins now, I don't think most of them will venture into buying more especially with the current risk. Holding and investing, that's actually two different things which the latter of course provides a greater risk of lose. But for me, good idea, nonetheless; it's just not enough, tho.

It's worth a try... But it is gamble thing. After all we are all investors we can do what is good for the crypto currency world.

of course if we will buy bitcoin together this will affect the price in the market then than that this is a good opportunity but bitcoin will be difficult if it reaches the highest price.
 

Just like pump-and-dump schemes, and some of the pump groups you can find on Telegram, such planned approaches are illegal in all normal investment legislation and exchanges and in all countries. And when the legislative parts of the governments starts truly looking into crypto (they are always slow in the beginning) it is very clear that there are people who will be going to jail for planning and executing such pumping schemes. Just wait and see.

This is a quite plausible suggestion for helping the condition of the current market.
but unfortunately many of bitcoin holders instead buying more, they panic selling their coins because the price falling.

It will turn into a hype and will slightly increase the price, but this won’t encourage big investors without real reason of sudden changes to green market. And if this would be done, this is also one way of manipulating the price that we hated so much. This will only give more negative reputation than a positive experience.

Genuine investors wanted a positive news this must be the one we are sharing and spreading all of us in the community.

I don't think it'll help. There are some components on which the price of bitcoin is falling. Besides, there're people who won't to so for the current situation. It may become a mess.

There are other factors on affecting Bitcoin's price, not only by dumping, holding and buying of coins. Maybe you're suggestion will make a small change because even if many people buy a 100$ worth of bitcoin i think it will only pump by a small margin and it will not recover like how it is used to be. Better to wait for further development.

If we buy a bitcoin all together,the price of bitcoin will increase .The price of bitcoin is purely based on the investors.If the investors in bitcoin increase,it will give positive impact to the price of bitcoin.If you don't have any money to inverse in bitcoin,just hold the bitcoin.This is quite enough .

Almost everyone who buys Bitcoin (and stocks for that matter) does so with the intention of making money.  Therefore, they buy when they feel like BTC is undervalued and sell when they feel like it's overvalued (or when it has risen since they bought).

By trying to organise a group of people to all buy at the same time, you're basically telling them to put their money on the line based on someone else's judgement and trust a large group of strangers on the Internet to back them up.

Regardless, when the price of a stock or asset rises, it's not like everyone just gets money.  The people who are shorting or who have sold out are losing, and many people are continuing to hold.

This would be similar to most pump and dump groups - they're shady, they don't work and most people get screwed over in the process.

Because it is pretty useless, if we do not have more than millions of dollars, we can not even move a single thousand.

So just wait, we must hold together and wait  for a new miracle to see the price going up to new highs.

If all of them buy bitcoin, bitcoin will become scarce. Its price will rise very high. Virtual money market will lose balance. I think there will be a crisis.

It's just like a pump and dump scheme. Let's say that we all did bought bitcoins simultaneously, how about those outside this forum or even one of us are only waiting for the pump and then sell all the way? It's just like feeding the hungry whales. We can't dictate people what to do. Let's just go with the flow and buy if you want or sell if you needed to.

A Good Idea but a bit funny. I think if everyone around the world is willing to do as you are talking maybe the price of bitcoin will be very high. But all that is impossible. Because not everyone is the same as your thinking.

I have also thought about that but I also came to realize immediately that it is impossible to happen. I don't think that many people will cooperate about it since most of them are already having second thoughts on trusting bitcoin and I also don't think that alone will definitely make the price of bitcoin go up again.

First of all, people will not follow you. It's easy to say something over the internet and do different. Too easy...

Second, even if many people would do this with you, the outcome will not be great. Bitcoin price may rise a little. May more than a little, since some sellers will remove their orders until this experiment ends.
Then what? The ones wanting to sell will sell at higher price fast, the price will get to what it was and that's all.

I think that for manipulating the market, more experience is needed, this has to be done secretly and you certainly need more money than you'd get from the few followers you could convince.
Or maybe I am too pessimistic these days...

in my opinion, do not believe in tantalizing issues that offer a lot of benefits and do not believe in a misleading call. stay afloat and take the right moment to sell.

I found this topic a little bit funny, haha you have a good idea but i think it will not work, it's hard to do that, buying simultaneously? Nahh, they'll just ignore you. The only thing we can do for now is to wait.

I don't really think that it will help. A lot of people are dumping their BTC, maybe even whales who have hunders of bitcoins. Let's hope that people will stop panicking soon. Even if there are many positive news, they are still afraid of losing their money. Bitcoin won't recover if we don't encourage other people to stop selling. Lightning Network was successfuly deployed and it didn't help much even though it was a milestone for Bitcoin. You could buy more BTC for youself and wait for the end of this trend.

The idea you have mentioned is quite appreciating but this  idea is really not going to work because you will unintentionally lead to pump and dump situation in the market and buying altogether is somewhat prohibited in the exchanges and you can't do this. Wait for the time and prices will eventually boost after that and all will gain profits.

Well if what you say can happen to buy together or at least increase the value together, it can be done by us but surely someone will take advantage there so it will be hard to reply to the blow. The best thought is to become a whale that can eat small fish.

Oh so it really depends on the whales to pump up the price. They really do have the power to manipulate prices. It's really hard to predict and read the charts. I also realize that it will become non sense if we achieve a high price and people will panic sell. Yeah but it is still a good idea though to move the price just little bit  :-\

That could be a great idea and that would contribute good to the bitcoin market where it may have a positive effect on the market price value. Even though people don't know about this idea but still there is no need for them to be informed since people already knew that bitcoin can really shoot up in the future.

Liking this topic. But you don't wanna think of the moment that all the people who bought the bitcoin is going to sell them. That would be bad. If everyone is selling their bitcoin at the same time the price will drop like eminem dropped the mic.

This makes me think of the Byzantine Generals problem... where the generals of different kingdoms all surround the

enemy city and a message goes around for a synchronized attack. The cunning generals will wait and delay their attack,

and in the process their allies will lose the biggest amount of soldiers... making these generals stronger after the battle. So

what might happen here is a message going out to buy.... but some people just sit back and wait for the price to increase and

then they sell, without having to invest a cent. {making profits off the back of others}  ;D

If it really happens, the bitcoin value will increase rapidly but it will not last long. This is not a good thing. I think it will negatively affect the trust of the people. I do not want this to happen, so let it grow naturally.

If everyone came together right now and bought bitcoin then that would mean that demand would increase simultaneously which would most definitely push the price higher.

there will be shortage of supply and the price will be high, if we all buy at the same time, there will be no second time to buy because the price is too high to purchase, no one will buy, then that is the biggest buble of all time, there will be no more traffic of buying and selling, bitcoin is dependent on the law of supply and demand, it is a two way traffic, balanced activity called volatility is what makes bitcoin like a yinyang. we need to buy as well as to sell, that is how bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies works.

If we go according to your scenario, then for a while we will be able to create a deficit of coins, but it will not be long, after that there will be a painful fall.

In my opinion, the result will be good enough to make the price of bitcoin more expensive,it will rise to the moon the people who is holding bitcoin will be happy.the whales who is waiting for the bitcoin to go down for their oppurtunity in buying bitcoin will be in trouble,their intension will fail.Giant whales have a great impact in the cost of bitcoin if they bought bitcoins the price will go high if they oversee that it is the time for them to harvest their investments they dump then the price of bitcoin will suddenly go down.

Yes, that is quite a plan indeed and I also do think that it can affect the prices of the bitcoin market postively. Although to initiate your master plan that is a different thing entirely as we don’t have the capability to but the bitcoin prices simultaneously and that is why the so called whales have the upoer hand on doing and somewhat even controlling the prices as there are a lot of money on their pocket and they make a living out of buying everything and then selling all at once

Haha, if we buy bitcoin now all together, the price might be bust up in short term, but it might cost bitcoin to end more early as bitcoin serves for few purpose but not mainly for earning more. Thus i think we have to reconsider.

    If the demand increase the price also increase but if the supply increase it makes the price decrease. That is the law of demand and supply. If we buy bitcoin together then hold it,i think it will help to boost up the demand. But i don't think that all agree to buy now because others are afraid and has a negative thoughts that bitcoin may end and they will loss if they invest or buy then hold. Important to have a positive mind and thinking in the situation like this that bitcoin drop and so far the movement are slowly  but i'm sure this movement is going upward.

Your example is contaigning an oxymoron: if everyone in the community is only buying, who is selling? If nobody is selling and everybody is buying the price is destined to rise to infinite value, which clearly makes no sense.

The problem is not that it is illegal (it may be). But only a small part of the buyers will benefit - the initiators. There may be a way to "hide" the intention of the pump-and-dump group, but it would be difficult to rise the price in a sustainable way because for many people it would be an opportunity to sell - and the pump group hasn't infinite amounts of money (OK, it may be different if there were some fiat billionaires inside the group. But most of the Bitcointalk users have already a long position in Bitcoin).

A more interesting question is: What if we SELL Bitcoins now all together? ("we" = "a larger group of Bitcointalk users")

Why is this different? Because we're already inside a bear market. That would mean that the sellers would not operate "against the trend" but "magnify the trend" - that would trigger an accelerated bearish channel, so sharp that we can expect a crash of 50%+ in a single day if everything works "well" for the sellers. It would become even more interesting if the dump group broke the long-term bullish channel of Bitcoin.

All together? Do you think every person from this forum is your friend and trust you? Even if you would find a few hundreds of people who say they will buy bitcoin at the same time I am pretty sure less than 20% will actually follow you and do this thing because you don't know them, they don't know you. People already hold their bitcoins and I don't think any of them would spend anymore money on it since they are not even sure the price is going to increase.
You can change the price of bitcoin if multiple persons are buying/selling at the same time but you need a few thousands of them to do it and see a change on the market that will be big enough for all this effort.

Yes, even if we reach a consensus to all buy bitcoin together which would most likely drive the price astronomically within split seconds, can we also control our individual temptations to quickly take profits at the expense of ourselves? I really  do not think this is workable at this stage of bitcoin, probably it would have been possible at the infant stages of bitcoin.

yeah right , it could possibly reach a hundred thousand dollar instantly or maybe more if ever all of the people will unite to buy bitcoin at a single moment but in reality , that dream wont possibly happen because like you said earlier , many people are constantly selling their coins to earn a profit. Yes, and I think that is a good thing too. I guess, in my opinion, some rich countries and some developing countries already know the true potential of btc. They start to invest, and take advantage of btc. Some rick countries will make some mining industries and mining companies to take over the world of btc. But the truth is, no country can control btc. The btc supply for the market is finite and at any price it is also owned by many; Do you want all of us to place orders in bulk? If so, either you will not buy any btc or you have to buy at a higher price than others . And that means btc prices will increase. If that actuallly happen then I think the price of bitcoin will increase in the market specially if it resulted to overcoming the supply of the available bitcoin in the market. I think buying bitcoin all together as mentioned on the thread could make an impact however, it could only result to manipulation of it's price and not the natural way. In my opinion the effort is there but it seems like it would be only temporary on the price effect on it's value so, I guess we will have to leave it as the way the normal market behaves.

I think it has happened so long trading investment with waiting and many also already feel the result in that way belief and patience is the capital needed for investment

i think it affects the price when buy pressure increase definitely price is up its a normal nature before we see that. dumping and pumping directly affect the price .

What you talking about is called as an artificial Pump!  ;D

However, in bad times like this that might be workable method to bring up the bitcoin value and then keep supporting its higher levels of resistance by holding. But as you know there are many countries and different people are involved in the bitcoin then it would be almost impossible to get everyone on board and try that method. Someone at the some corner will try to mislead this campaign and thus we may incur with another dump! Just the way it happens with artificial pump but suddenly someone starts mega dumping. Could be helpful or could be regretful!

This is good idea so other investor buy bitcoin and others, and possible bitcoin raise the price of bitcoin. But people are different. many people hold their token and wait for the right time, some of them when they have earn a little profit they sell their altcoins.

Nope because the key is on demand and supply, if each user has a large capital that they have not used in bitcoin and now it is used to buy bitcoin along with other users, it will greatly affect to the bitcoin price in the market even though the total users remains the same because the key is in the deman and supply..

I get your point and I think this idea is good however not all people will eventually follow such recommendation since there is another reason why bitcoin suffers during the bear market. Considering this recommendation will be followed by majority of the people, then we are just making a temporary rise in demand and no assurance of sustainability. The effect in the market will also be a temporary rise and then back to normal bearish market.

most people in here are from third world countries, it is impossible that they are gonna affect the market because you need millions of dollars to make a little change

If we buy it all together the supply will be limited hence the price will greatly increase and also the more bitcoin the world have, the harder it is to mine so it you add the demand of bitcoin everyday the price will increase and the miners will have a hard time mine all bitcoin the transaction fees also increase along with the price. That is all that I know. Also it makes its rank top 1 on coinmarketcap for so many years.

You're right because we need a trust like no other. All we need now is stronghold and never dump bitcoin. For sure the sell order on a different exchange will be offered a high price. So for me price will start price high again. We need a deeply trust if we need to get a bigger profit from bitcoin. Hold Hold Hold.

This will definitely help the demand in the market and this will raise the price in the market. After this we all need to hold the btc for some time rather than start selling immediately for profit booking which will actually lead to a huge dip and can even lead to crash in the market.

If everyone or all of us buy bitcoin together for sure the price is very high and maybe we can see the price more than 50k dollars upto100k dollars. But I don't think it will happem because daily people needs money so most of them still needs to sell bitcoin.

your plan is very smart but I think it will be very difficult to do because the bitcoin exchange in the world is not just one but there are lots of bitcoin exchange places in circulation, so when the price of bitcoin rises in one market it will certainly make a lot of traders who will sell and make the price collapse again.

The humanity is not build that way, we do not trust each other that much to survive let alone do something collectively that might have consequences that would profit some and not you.

If you think about it if we are going to build a house together and all live in it together than we would all work because we would all benefit, however if we are going to build a house and than we will have a draw to see how gets to live in that it would be harder for people to build that house, and the one who gets the house will not be helping the others building the next house willingly because he already has one.
