Title: Do Faucets pay off?
Post by: Kiki112 on October 31, 2013, 06:47:31 PM
I'v found this online
http://glados.cc/myfaucet/
I was wondering how do you earn money from your own faucet?
This apparently has built in advetisement rotation but how do you earn money from it  ???
Has anyone created his faucet with this website before?

They must, or people wouldn't operate them.

I could of made that conclusion on my own :D
I was wondering which site does pay you for the clicks and how much you get, I guess I was expecting someone who already created a faucet with this website :)

They do pay off but mostly they pay out very low amount but it's better than nothing.

They do pay off, but only a very small amount of bitcoins as was said.
I've been getting some luck from the site CoinAd.com. You have to watch webpages for a certain number of seconds and they'll save your bitcoins for you until you request a payout.

They pay off in the long run... Assuming you have some good quality traffic , GB and US are great factors for pay wise.

Faucets are NOT meant to make anybody rich, it's the guys that have BTC that are willing to start a newbie like most of the guys in this section out with starting...

If you truly want to make money off this thing called a FAUCET and don't want to do it just for the help... You shouldn't own a faucet... Ads are only meant to profit the faucet and not the operator (usually)... Sometimes you get the little profit because you have low dispenses, and high quality traffic..

However some sites I use for my ads are

"Bitads.net"

"A-Ads.com"
No Ref
"CPMLeader.com"
Ref: http://www.cpmleader.com/advertisers.php?adref=10408

Most faucets really aren't profitable.
They are usually made by senior members of the bitcoin community in order to try to help newbies get a little head start.

I think the only faucet making some real nice bitcoin is,

http://dailybitcoins.org/

They sure do get enough traffic, and have a good ad system going.

I like collecting their ad vouchers.... :)

Earn money? I am losing money every single day, because my ads don't get sold ::)
Why I do it? Because I like to help people out.

Your bitads you should put have an ad in place, that way you would get more clicks...

Look more desirable in bitads... I would get it, but can't afford .005 btc a day for it..

You aren't supposed to be giving free advertisement, and the code for bitads is they give you that code to be put in the forsale spot on bitads... IF you remove the code they give you.. your spot for sale is gone.. so it has to have the "Your Ad here from bitads" as they use iframes

No that is incorrect... You can put in custom url through bit ads.

This way you can still advertise if you never get a bid...

and your ad looks more attractive because it's getting hits...

Look on the bottom left of my site.

I don't expect free advertisement but his ad only gets 2 hits a day.

I'm not going to spend that much bitcoin... :o

For example, on http://www.mmoclub.com/faucet/

a high traffic website I pay .001 btc...:)

If you can live to 200-250 you can make 0.1-0.2 btc by the time you retire, if you spend 28 hours a day on there

That list is should be much longer... Some of those I don't include because it's impossible to get payment proof.
Except I don't do to many faucets though...

I have custom coded my own faucet, and I really don't make money from it. I just recycle the advertisement money and if I have any spare change I send it over. I believe that it is better to just give some money away to the community of saving $2 which doesn't get you anything.

This one is pretty cool, plus you can sell your daily bitcoins ad vouchers to play their game for a chance to win BTC

I tried the free faucets few times in the past and all payed the promised BTC amount. Some have minimum withdrawal amounts, so you must accumulate BTC there, but these pay as well

Yes if you are boring and have nothing else to do, otherwise don't waste your time.. It would take many months until you reach 1 BTC....

You can try out for the first few days, you will get bored quickly and hopefully you reach the minimum payout by then

There are a few (including mine) that dont need a minimum payout. I custom made my faucet and it pays out instantly.

It's fun to catch some free BTC, but I guess they are made to get more people interested in BTC! So the increase in wealth for the faucets owner would be more people using BTC, hence increasing the value of the BTC they already own
 :D
