It's not really possible for someone to sell bitcoin that they do not have, these same like very false accusations without much to actually back them up. Please provide further evidence to support your point and then I might be a little bit more inclined to believe what you have to say,

What does the selling of coins have to do with Mt Gox? It was an exchange that got hacked and the price dropped after that news was released, not before it was released. The latest price drop was due to the trustee selling coins on open exchanges and this caused a little price drop.

The merits and the alts are indeed obvious, but the topic might not be. Bitfinex (and tether) might very well turn out to be the next Mt Gox. It is again the same old story. Buying bitcoins with money/tether which you do not have. That might have lead to the peak and we could now be retracing. Possible to sell them but it's not going to last very long, people will soon decide to withdraw them and then there's no actual bitcoin there for them to withdraw. Only way it would work for an extended period is if people never withdrew or enough deposited to cover it.

Hacking and selling both are two different things, moron! They declared themselves as bankrupt because of a hack that took place over the exchange (but if they mislead everyone by telling that to everyone and possessed the BTC with them only, that's where selling can be considered as a crime committed by them as it was people's money and not theirs.)

Yeah bro have any chance to be that anytime exchanger could scam , but mtgox failed because of many traders open long positions and earned a lot of money thats why mtgox was closed.

I recently heard about this people on the forum sending out merits to people undeserving to it. It makes me wonder how they do it and this is getting unfair for people who works hard to gain merit..this is saddening. If merit system has not yet arrive i could have been a member now if we base it to the number of postage. For me MERIT SYSTEM just fave the way to cheating here in the forum. Yes, it is not advisable to keep the coins at the exchanges. I only keep those coins in exchange on which i have to trade. Once trading is done, i move my all coins back to the wallet. It do cost me some tx fee for withdrawing from exchange but it save my money in case something wrong happen with the exchange.
