So here's the top 10 worst performing cryptos of 2018 (so far)

1. Bitcoin Diamond. From $105 to $2.19
2. Bitcoin Gold. Starts trading from $500. Now it’s sitting at $45.
3. Einsteinium. From  $2.83 to $0.11 in 101 days.
4. Siacoin.  Down 90% in just 83 days.
5. NEM. Sitting at $0.22, down 89% from its peak of $2.09.
6. Cardano. Down 89% in 85 days.
7. Verge.
8. Bytecoin.
9. Digibyte. Down 88% in 82 days
10. Ripple. It’s down 87% in 85 days.

this is a strange list because it is separating 10 altcoins from the rest of them (more than 1500) but the truth is they are not at all different when it comes to price and their performance.

literary any altcoin that has ever been pumped and dumped (which is all of them) have been performing poorly one way or another in the past couple of months that dumping was going on. you can NOT find a single altcoin that has not been dumped hard. if one is dumped 70% and the other 80% it doesn't make them any different, they all are dumped and performing bad because they are pump and dumps.

I think for the last 3 months almost all altcoin has decreased very significant, on the list above is only a small part.
see other altcoins like XLM, NANO, NEO etc
maybe this is all because the bitcoin price is down.

Nice to know statistics, but the truth is all coins had experienced similar percentage of drop in price. I guess the important message out of this is to pick the gem and invest in the coins that has the most potential in the long run.

I have never aggreed with those kind of comparisons where  people compared the current dollar peice to the past dollar price. Most of those coins can only be bought for cryptos, there is no fiat pairs with those coins. BTC and ETH price dipped so badly during the last months so it will eat a big part of the price dump with those coins. This table will look different if you calculate worst performong cryptos comparing to the crypto price.

First all these prices at ATH are not realistic, most of these tokens you mentioned above have a real usecase for now and why do you need to value them that high, most are above a billion Dollars, do you know what it takes to value a company a Billion USD. Though some are with some great potentials but the those prices are certainly overvaluation

If you think of the low valued currencies then obviously the numbers will always look too much down the line. I mean its obvious that if 1 dolls valued coin drops to 10 cents then it will look like 90% loss. But have you imagined that the recovery for these coins will be faster than any other coin which is out there. I mean how much time will it take for them to spike to 2 USD again? I think its almost nothing and thus you can make 90% in profits very easily. Whether the crypto is 80% down or 10% down currently it is going to take the same time to recover. I dont think we can judge their performance in such way.

I think altant includes being one of the worst altcoin, because the allocation for bounty payment is much greater than the allocation of funds collected, so the price of atlant coin which originally 1 ATL = 1 $ to 0.19 $ = 1 ATL, and that too has not ended, because the bounty payment is divided into 18 months or 18 times, I can not imagine how much the ATL price fall , if all the bounty is paid
