What is the diffrent between bitcoin,altcoin ethereum? Are they same just different name or they they have different role to play in the market wise?

Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency where you can transact on a peer-to-peer network without the need of a middleman.

As the Ethereum websites describes, “Ethereum is a decentralized platform that runs smart contracts”. It is a public blockchain platform with its own cryptocurrency called, Ether.

All the coins other than bitcoin are Altcoins. Ethereum is also in a way an altcoin.

Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and all other cryptocurrency are know as the altcoins and Etherum is one of them. Bitcoin , Etherum and altcoins all are different from eachother beacause they all have their own blockchain  but many of altcoins are depends on the blockchain of Etherum.They all play different different role into market. Their all  transactions are totally different and stored only in their blockchain.

Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency. Father of all cryptocurrencies. It is the first to introduce blockchain technology. Ethereum is famous for the fact that it is very easy to write smart contracts. A small part of altcoins acts as tokens of some projects. And the rest of the altcoins are Scam projects.

Bitcoin is the first created crypto currency.The coins whi pch had created next to bitcoin is know as altcoin.The transaction of bitcoin and Ethereum had different wallet .The percentage of profit from the bitcoin and Ethereum will vary.

and also it is independent coins!  Altcoins are mostly just tokens made on someone else's blockchain. The most popular is ethereum's blockchain, so the same projects on NEO, will soon be on the EOS.

Bitcoin Vs Ethereum
Ethereum is a Blockchain network developed to facilitate the growth of decentralized applications (DApps). Its native token Ether was not designed to operate as a digital currency. Rather, Ether is used as gas or fee to fuel DApps launched on top of the Ethereum protocol. since its launch in 2009, Bitcoin has been developed and designed to operate as a settlement network. The vast majority of investors currently consider Bitcoin as a safe haven asset, digital gold, settlement network and long-term investment but as Bitcoin deals with ideal scaling solutions, it will evolve into a better digital currency over time.

My understanding is that all cryptocurrencies are obviously encrypted and all use a blockchain for transactions. The blockchain is not owned by anyone, thus, it operates peer to peer. Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency to exist and is most widely accepted. Other cryptocurrencies, Ethereum, Litecoin, bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold. etc, are similar in nature but for me, they are just copycat cryptos, someone reinventing the wheel. I am investing in bitcoin now and see it as a viable currency into the future.

It's hard to answer that without oversimplying. Pretty much every crypto should have a white paper available, so I would refer you to read those for any coin you are interested in (after reading Satoshi's original Bitcoin white paper as a benchmark).
Most of the lesser altcoins are basically duplications of bitcoin with various parameters such as the block time changed. But if you are looking at the major alts (not counting forks like BCH and BTG) things get more interesting as you look at the other major players like Ethereum, IOTA, DASH, Monero, Zcash and Stellar and so on. These all have some significant differences under the hood, such as enhanced privacy, smart contracts, or even doing away with the whole concept of a blockchain as in the case of IOTA (and Byteball and a few others).

The diversity among the better altcoin projects is meant to exploit more financial niches than any single coin ever could. Some will be optimized for smart contracts, or the Internet of Things, or privacy, or convenience (cash), or as a secure store of value, or for prediction markets, or asset exchanges, or cloud storage, and on and on and on.

bitcoin is the base of coins ethereum is more usable less fees and faster transaction, altcoin is were to invest or anything like that blockchain is also important because there are all coins go through to process

altcoins are basically alternative coins, and alternative is refering to bitcoin. as an alternative to bitcoin.

as for being duplicates they don't have to be copies of bitcoin. there are lots of coins out there and lots of others that copy them. some may be original work that are being copied or copy of bitcoin that is being copied. for example litecoin is a copy of bitcoin and it has lots of copies itself such as Dogecoin.

I think the difference between bitcoin and ethereum is. Bitcoin aims to be a medium of wealth storage, digital gold, and ultimately a globally adopted currency that can repair or replace conventional money to some extent.
Ethereum is a platform that smart contracts and decentralized applications can use.

Bitcoin is the original digital currency and the first cryptocurrency created to supposedly make life easier for those who can't purchase online, a technology wherein instead of money you use this as your money to pay online. Altcoin or alternate coins are the cryptocurrencies that are created after bitcoin and one of which is Ethereum. Ethereum is another form of blockchain technology that's lower of value than of bitcoin.

They are all totally good, but difference in terms of price value and quality, and bitcoin is the leading one among all kinds of crypto currency. And majority of investors are focus on investing bitcoin, but there are also people who likes ethereum and altcoins.

thats why they called ALTERNATIVE COIN because they are different from bitcoin..the first coin has a different platform that uses by majority of cryptonians,while ethereum platform is now being used by most of the ico project for their tokens.this two coins are the dominating but different coins
