What is a Masternode?
 
Masternodes are dedicated servers on the Internet that enable instant transactions and perform the trust-less anonymization of users' funds. They usually get majority of the rewards per block for this task.
Masternodes are essentially addresses with a lot of coins in them that are not moved for extended periods of time. They help in securing the whole network and help stabilize the price of the coin, somewhat, by taking large number of coins out of circulation.
 
What is a Shared Masternode?
 
To make a masternode, it takes a lot of coins; worth a lot of money; and not everyone can afford it or want to put a lot of money into just a single coin. To get around this, several coin holders come together and pool their coins together and take part of the rewards, this is known as a shared masternode.

Create an account
Studies have shown that many people today are using same or slightly modified passwords for many different sites. For us, security is a top priority. That is why we do not store the password of your account. Actually, your password is not known to us and your account is safe.
 
We prefer to use usernames rather than email addresses, as they are getting more and more important today. However, to increase security, we use a username and password for log in. In this way, you can make totally unique login credentials only for our website.
 
Login to the site can be done only from a verified IP address. Every time an attempt is made from a new IP address, it has to be approved by a link sent to the email address.
 
By default, two-factor authentication is enabled.
Deposits
Please check the list of Masternodes we are supporting.
 
Go to a Balance page and click on Deposit action.
 
Your unique address will be generated and you can send coins to it. You can always use it for that coin. It will not be changed in the future.
 
You can follow deposit transaction confirmations on the Deposit history page. After a deposit transaction is confirmed, your balance will be updated.
 
Then you can add coins to the Queue for Masternode. A seat size is defined for each coin. Seat defines a minimum amount of coins that can participate in one Masternode.
 
When the Queue has enough coins for Masternode collateral transaction, Masternode will be created. Queues work on the FIFO (First In First Out) method.
Reward payment
After the Masternode reward transaction is confirmed, it will be distributed automatically to all Masternode seat owners.
 
The reward is distributed to seat owners on a percentage basis. If someone participates in one Masternode with 100 coins and the Collateral transaction requires 1000 coins, then seat owner is participating with 10%. Thus, the reward will be 10% of the total Masternode reward.
 
Our fee will be charged to each seat owner. If someone is receiving 10% of the Masternode reward, our fee will be 1-10%.
 
Example: the fee is 5% percentage for one coin, the seat owner is receiving 2 coins, our fee will be 0.1 of the coin.
 
Our fee system is highly configurable, and can differ on the coin, Masternode, or user level. A fee range can be 1-10
Withdrawals
If coins are in a Queue, they first have to be removed from the Queue.
If coins are not locked in Masternode, they can be withdrawn at any moment.
If coins are locked in Masternode, there are the following options:
 
Make a request for return and if Queue has coins, the swap will happen and your coins will be returned from Masternode and coins from the Queue will replace your coins and be a part of Masternode.
 
If the Queue doesn't have enough coins, all the coins that are not swapped will have to wait for 7 days to be swapped by coins from the Queue.
 
If they are not swapped in 7 days, Masternode will be automatically dissolved, your coins will be returned to you and remaining coins from Masternode will be sent to the Queue.
 
If one Masternode has 70% or more coins for which the return request is created, Masternode will be dissolved immediately.

I understand that losses can occur. Who guarantees that you won't close one day and enjoy your life with the many cryptos? There is allready at least 6 Figures Dollars worth of cryptos under your control.

We are trying to register Legal Entity. It is slow process.
Even without this, you must admit that this is more transparent and easier to track comparing to Discord offered services.

We are here for the long term and have more plans and new features.

The discord based service have no address just a login with fake email. We need not only email, node servers, etc these are services required to run a website which we have provided our details to obtain them, so we have much more details out there for a person with enough resources and knoweldge that really wants to to find out can do so...

Guardian Coin would be very important to me, because here the Collateral is increased (an a Big uptade is comming) and very many do not have enough coins. Is there a chance that he will be added at short notice?

Good MN coins are also Rupaya or Innova.

MyNode.Rocks is a very good comfortable shared-MN site. :)

Dear users,

This is first summary written in this form by us. After 3 months of running this service we can reflect on the many things we have learned and our achievements in the view of building and improving for the future.

We are one of the very first and few services that are working with real time MN payments. The system is designed to work on three layer, it is very complex, but it has proven to be very robust. So far we had zero issues with the payments and we are very proud of this milestone. It has been as a result of long development and testing process.

As you may have noticed, we have had quiet spells, for example when we did not announce new site versions and improvements or did not adding new coins to our service. There are three main reasons for that:

1. Holiday season. After all we are all humans and we need some rest.
2. In last month several coins were experienced blockchain forks, code bugs and coin swaps. That was putting some extra pressure on us. On one hand to make sure that service work smoothly and on the another hand to ensure the satisfaction of our users. We have done everything to ensure we have won the battle on both fronts.
3. You all imagine this service as something that is printing money. But that is far from truth. This service is not made by group of people that know how to make WordPress site. It is made by professionals who were good paid with real money. You know that all coins are now in downwards trend and we are not getting enough profit to invest in development and to run servers for hosting masternodes. I have to mention that we are not bringing prices down as rumored on some Discord channels. That would be against our interest, we are holding coins.

Last two points are bringing us to the situation that we face and as a result we will have to delist some coins and unfortunately increase fees for low value coins. We paid directly using some of the coins for the development and testing phases and this was not easy thing to do as we have some sentimental attachment to these coins. We were thinking that we will never be in this situation, but crypto is unpredictable. We are really disappointed to be in this situation. The system was designed to support way more MNs than we have today. Now we have to do something opposite, to reduce number of coins and masternodes. We have to make this decision to support other coins currently listed and for the future both financially and to increase efficiency, as we are currently handicapped by a few coins.

Delisting
Coins that will be removed from our service are:
- Desire (DSR)
- Interzone (ITZ)
- Ultima (ULT)
All three coins are kinda abandoned by developers or do not have any clear development plan or developers. Coin communities are trying to organize themself and to push in some energy to these coins, but all that is fade.
If you go to our website and check Ultima masternodes, you will see that the masternodes are on 5 different chains. We were fixing this two times, but it doesn't make sense to fight against "windmills".
Here is one cruel fact about these coin. If we would sell now all coins earned from one month fees we would earn 4.47104$ for hosting these 30 MNs. And lets not even count man/hours spent to start and support these MNs.

All masternodes will be scheduled to be shutdown in next two days. And holders of these coins are asked now to withdraw the coins. We will also send email to them. Coins will be on the website for one month due to the holiday seasons. That should be enough for users to withdraw them. After one month coins will be removed from the website.

Fee Adjustment
Fees will be increased to 10% for the following coins:
- Exsolution (EXT)  (60 MNs)
- Las Vegas (VGS)  (20 MNs)
- Folm (FLM)          (40 MNs)
- Digiwa methodge (WAGE) (40 MNs)
- DIXICoin (DXC)    (30 MNs)

We know that this is not very popular and we were avoiding it for quite some time. We will alsboset a max cap for the number of masternodes for the mentioned coins. You can find number in brackets above.
Some of you will accuse us that we are driven only by the profit and that we maybe do not see the benefit or how cool are these coins. It is easy to say this if you hold these coins and expect just to earn more from MN rewards. But we are not here to support coins by promoting it and spending our limited time and other resources if we are in loss or minimal profit. If we are really in hunt for profit you would see in our portfolio pump and dump coins made just to be sold on pre-sale. So, before you argue this decision, please try to understand our position.
We know that this will affect many users. One of the shining examples for our shared MN service is FLM_031 with 38 users that share seats in it.

When will this change occur? Tomorrow.

Looking ahead into the near future...
For next 1 or 2 months you will not see big progress on the web site. We will make some improvement on the backend and we will resume adding more coins to our portfolio for you our users.

Registering legal entity is temporarly now on hold. We will resume looking into this after the holiday season.

We have been using this service for a few months and have not had any issues with deposits, payments, or withdrawals.  There are scams out there, but based on our experience, MyNode.rocks is not one of them.

I like you guys service a lot! It makes a lot of sense to delist coins that are not profitable anymore, just a smart business decision! In the end you have to make money.

People usually expect to much from coins which masternode cost 20-200 USD, inflation ratio on that coins are just to big to have any profit no mater what fee percentage you take, even 50% from nothing is still nothing.

security and privacy are the world's major priority and i can see this project will prove itself as one of main players to fulfill the privacy requirement!

I have always problems receiving the confirmation email when logging in  ("You are attempting to sign in from unconfirmed IP address ")...
sometimes i have to wait a hour or it never arrives.

Sometimes sent emails are bounced and not received for certain email providers.
We will look to develop 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) which use the Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) algorithm.

I regret to announce that I will be stepping down after all this time due to personal reasons, nevertheless I will be transferring the ownership to a capable hands and development of the platform will continue. Please be noted that during the following weekend we will be transferring to a new domain thus the site will be down for some time, plus your accounts and new registration will be disabled for a few days until an SSL certificate is obtained. Once that is done we will begin transferring the nodes to new servers which should take another 4 days maximum. For more info read the discord announcement. We thank you for your understanding.

As announced during  previous Sunday, once the 30.11.18,  once the domain bounty has ended, we will commence with transferring the website to a new domain and the Masternodes to new servers.

Please be advised that during this time, some technical difficulties may be experienced on your side.
The domain most likely be just an IP number until everything has cleared with the DNS,  additionally it might take a few days to get the SSL certification, meaning there might exist risks when logging in. Thus we have decided to not allow any new registrations and will deactivate your accounts so you will not be able to login during that period to avoid any possible risks to your accounts. Once this has cleared, we will  re-enable everything once more.

The masternodes will start popping back on bunches by bunches and we approximate this will take approx. 6-7 days until they are all back up again

Please note, that your funds are perfectly safe during that time as they are stored on cold wallets and are not affected by what is going on.

Changing ownership
Dear Community. It is our pleasure to announce a new dawn for MyNode.rocks. We are honoured and thankful to be here. Our aim is to take this project to new heights and well-deserved places

But first, we would like to thank MyNode.rocks himself for bringing us this platform thus far. He has done a great job in the limited time he had and now, unfortunately, will step down to make more time for his private life. We would like to express our gratitude and wish him all the best!

Next, allow me to introduce the team that will continue to develop this project:

My name is Yevgeni, I hold an Msc. in Engineering Physics and have Crypto passion for several years now. I have participated in some Crypto related projects and engaged in various Crypto related consulting positions. I, like many others, see a great potential in the MN sphere and have been carefully forming a solid plan and vision for several months now for reviving this platform. Of course, after a thorough market analysis for what can and should be done.

The Modran brothers, with which I am personally familiar, are both talented developers with past experience in both Web and Android applications and will be in charge of implementing long-awaited features to make us a top-notch platform for the community. They studied computer science both in Germany and Romania and have a Masters Degree in Mobile Application development and Internet technologies in E-Businesses. Both of them are intrigued by blockchain technology and see a bright future for Cryptocurrencies thus are very motivated to take part in this project.
We are keen to put ourselves out there since we believe transparency and reliability are keys to mutual success.

Additionally, RagTag (Discord) which you are already familiar with and we respect his wish to stay anonymous. He is currently working in the Oil and Gas industry and has been in the crypto scene for quite a few years due to personal interest and enthusiasm for blockchain technology. He is currently involved with many projects in various roles and has been here almost since the beginning of MyNode.rocks, driving and assisting our great community as a dedicated Community Manager. During his time at MyNode.rocks, he has worked on announcements, documentation, support and starting/maintaining of MN's to name a few. Please rest assured that he will be here with everyone through the evolution and beyond!





A short list of expected changes (not necessarily in order of importance):
There are several enhanced security features we have in mind and will be perusing their implementation.
A complete redesign of the website including and not limited to; a complete rebranding under a new name (scroll to the bottom for the announcement to see our new competition!), and a new fresh look with many tweaks already in development. This will make the service much more user-friendly, intuitive and easy on the eye and will include a dashboard that summarizes all your holdings and projected earnings and much more!
The addition of new promising coins! Additionally, some new and exciting services such as pure hosting or MN’s that do not require you to wait until a node is filled before getting any rewards. Pure wallet staking and some more amazing features that will be announced in due course.
Re-haul and organization of the discord channel and the addition of more support avenues, for example, Telegram.
Expansion of the community by engaging in marketing, such that more meaningful discussions are taking place.
Tweaks to the referral system
A reworking of the login system, and MN sharing as to delete seats and allow any number to be invested.
And much more wonderful changes on the horizon which are yet to be finalized.
 
I would like to emphasise we are always open for suggestions, feedback and criticism. We realize that without a solid community this kind of service has no place and thus, we would highly appreciate your support. We are not taking this project lightly and would like to ask for your understanding since this might sound like a small thing on paper but in practice, this transition to a new team and completely new infrastructure will take some time. Thus, we ask you to bear with us until everything has cleared out towards the middle to end of December, when we expect to finish transferring all the MN’s to new servers and the website to a new domain.
