It seems that altcoins this time is in RED mode, that means we need to buy. During the previous months Altcoins, they are rising up in prices, but 2018 is the falling down of all altcoins and bitcoin.

So 2018, will be the buying year. I declare to myself that i will buy as much as i can, since i am a long term investor.

I appreciate good comments. And please correct me if im wrong with my moves.

It's a good decision but the only problem is where will the investment capital comes from since my whole portfolio is agonizingly winding down to zero while I watch hopelessly ,praying ,hoping against hope for a reversal.,waiting for that almighty GREEN again to bring smile to our faces

Too bad you have held you stash for too long, you should have had sold some when it was experiencing the almighty green so that you will have some investment capital to rebuy coins now. I commend OP's decision to buy all good altcoins that are in the red this year but I suggest him to post his stash(altcoin portfolio) here in this thread for others to give their thoughts about it.

I suggest to spread your amount into the various price. I meant to get the bottom and you will need to spread your amount into the various level of bitcoin. This to minimize the possibility for you to get trapped at peak price of bitcoin. Because if you can get it at the bottom and that will give the more guarantee for you to get your profit.

Very correct decision. Now is the shopping season. I support you in this and, if possible, try to do the same.

Too bad for you because you cant maximize the profits with holding your coins too much you could have sold your coins last december when you have the chance and buyback from the bottom last february or you could buyback today from the bloobath but it seems to be the market is already starting to get recovered now.

What are you going to purchase? There is a lot of coins that are doing pretty well while Bitcoin is getting dumped.

is the best you can do, this year has been the opportunity to buy cheap, you just have to know which currency will give us better profitability in the future and not choose at random. that's why a fundamental analysis would not be anymore.

totally agree with you ,But the problem is that people already have their money stuck in coins with loss and only few who got cash to purchase new coins at this low price .

i also think the same as you, but i haven't decide which altcoins should i buy.

When the exchange rate of the entire cryptos is in the RED, the investment in altcoins is perfectly reasonable. But I think investing in ETH in the long term will be safe and will undoubtedly be profitable by the end of 2018 when the ETH exchange rate is expected to reach $ 3,000. You may also consider investing in Ripple, Qtum, Houbi, ADA, which are potential crypto at the moment.

Will thats a good decision bro,being as long term investment holder in this crypto world,that you buy all different altcoins in crypto market,only i can say that you must tighten your belt that  what ever happen to your long term investment just accept the facts either positive or negative outcome, you must face the risk.actually me also now starting to buy a different altcoins,because the price is so low and i believe when holding this it will become profitable someday.

I agree with you, but you should also pay attention to how the analysis of the crypto world figure, they more understand how the crypto journey.

so, when we buy altcoin, we are not afraid. and we believe that the altcoin has we bought will be giving an advantage to us.

because what we fear is the price of altcoin is falling after we buy altcoin, so, please choose good altcoin.

There's still hope for him to recover all of his investment by holding but it'll take longer (maybe several months to a year) now that the price of most crypto are losing value this past month or so. I doubt OP would show his stash because that might encourage others to follow him and if those coins crash or dip they'll be blaming OP for it.

You could start with the top 10 or top 20 coins that are listed in the coinmarketcap and choose those alts you think will do better.

All the same, too, buy stupid, you need to approach this matter with a cold head. Quietly you can buy coins with a good capitalization on the top positions of the list, but there are coins that are ambiguous, for example, a golem. So, appreciate what you are buying so that you do not get burned in the future.

It maybe good for you or any investor to wait or hodl until altcoins that you have invested in reach the moon. However, it will be good enough if you have picked a promising or good coin. There are more than 1300 coins which you may not know grow over time or which crash. So be careful and stay safe. 

You can still recover what you have lost,you wont be losing anything if you keep holding it until your buying point has been reached or surpass,the market's volatility makes these coins vulnerable with the pumps and dumps in the market that is why you still have a good chance because PND groups might have pump your coin so you can get out fast if you are trapped for a long period of time.

That's a good strategy, just remember to invest only those money that you are willing to lose. Noone really knows what will happen in future so you never know if you're going to win. IMO, the bearish market will end sooner and later and we'll see another bull run so you'll be able to get nice profits. But I might be wrong ;D

Its better to keep holding since the whole market are in red blooded situation, most of us have experience on losing big money because bitcoin and other altcoin continue to falling down.
Like what other said its a good time to buy more altcoin since the price are in discount promo and when the market back to normal it guaranty a good return.

Go for it man - buying the dip is one of the ways the rich got where they are today.  If buying high were the way to do it, everyone would be rich.  hint: they aren't.

It is really good idea to taking advantage this  situation where in all coins are in red mode in the market. It's time to buy coins but I doubt when you buy all your money to that because we  don't know what will happen in the future, if all of this still exist or it will ended. It's better to have a brilliant strategy for us to avoid much losses. For example, for now you can buy coins in about 30-40% of your totall money therefore if when the time comes that possible this system end there are still more money left in you and it will use it to other investment. It's good to  think twice before making decision.

It doesn't mean that when altcoins price are in red is we need to buy, of course it is an opportunity to buy them cheaper when the price dropped or crashes, there is nothing new because that is what everyone is doing already but it is still a choice, it's not an obligation. If you want to invest more then do it, but only invest money that you can afford to lose because huge drop in price doesn't always mean that it will recover immediately, there are still chances that cryptocurrency market will continue to go down and you will lose again. But since you are a long term investor you shouldn't be worried about it.

it is a good move and the best way is to buy altcoin as much as you can because the current altcoin price has dropped so much and is already in the saturation point and it is likely that the end of the year you can benefit.

     Well, as far as I can see, there really is nothing there to correct in your statement/post. Clearly, you have been reading a lot which is why you are more confident with your decisions and it looks to me like you are very clear on sticking into your choices. And that is a good thing, this trait is what I believe every investor should have. The eagerness for knowledge and the courage to tick with their decisions. Although I would like to add that this will only apply with some of the altcoins out there which needs a lot of effort in finding(just in case the newbies get to read your post).

I agree with that lets buy all again and hold our tokens i even thinking to buy more bitcoins since there are some rumor and also according to my reseach before the end of this year again bitcoin will surely goes back to 20,000$ again or more than that.

Mostly, at the level of price today, all wise investors are now busy on purchasing crypto currency, because they think positively that the price soon will rapidly moving up again. So, good luck to the people who wants to invest now, and for sure you have a future multiple income.

Well not all of the altcoins, i mean you have to pick the right ones, of course you might get a bit of profit from buying and holding some small altcoins but they won't give as much as the main big ones like bitcoin and etehreum, in my opinion i think if you want to invest and buy coins right now those tow should be your target, because no matter how long it will it take them but eventually  hey will rise and rise big.

Thats nice decision and you're right that this sesson is a good to buy more altcoins and bitcoins because it is in red days so definitely in going 2019 is the perfect to sell everything that you have if its in green sesson.  

This is a good decision. I agree to buy the coin that has a potential to grow and rise more. Buy coin as much as you want. Better to research before buying so your money cannot gone.

You are in a good timing and decision making to buy all of those altcoin which is highly potentiable coins that will gives you a profitable income in coming days by holding those in a proper manner and, waiting for the king of cryptocurrency is already recover and adjusted it will be in the moon. As we see the market having a deep percentage of value. This is what we call bloodbath for digital currency aspect.

Totally agree with you, I will do the same, maybe i will invest as much as i can in altcoins that already known in the market and have a big potential in the near future. This is the moment that we (long term holder) been waiting for.

Yes better take time to search what's the best coins to invest. And the best for me to enter the market is in red marks and select those with potential coins.

sadly this year may be a very bad year for cryptocurrency market, the entire market is still taking serious hits from drops of cryptos, it is true that cryptos will rise back stronger in the future but that is something we should not think about rightnow when the market is too low, it may be a good chance if you buy altcoins as soon as possible.

Your decision is very good. But do not overdo it and can drive you crazy to buy all altc without thinking long enough to cause harm to you. You have to buy alt which has good specifications and potentially for long term and make you profit.

If you look at the current market conditions do occur this month we spend our money a lot of coins, it's amazing price BTC 31 $ 6300 then date 1 to $ 7100 yet 1 day price has dropped back $ 6500 here is the right moment for us to buy coin back.
I do not know what makes the price like this but we as a better trader we just follow the price, and still remember the red buy green sell

That's good decisions better to buy altcoins which you really think you can gain good at all. Just buy when price is cheap and never sell when still in a low rate. However, when price drops good to buy altcoins only that can grow.

The bloodbath isn't over, I suggest you wait a little bit before getting too excited buying all your alt prospects. In this space, every coin counts.

Also, be sure to do a background check on the teams of the alts you'd be getting, nothing worse buying into a useless project.

You are very right dude. This is a good time to buy but you need to buy wisely. What do I mean by wisely? Don't change from one coin to another. Just hodl whatever coin you have.

You are right this year only for holding and buying altcoin.So if you bought a lot of altcoin and hold for 1/2 year hope you will be rich man but need to control emotion.Most the people fail to control emotion and sell everything last year bitcoin drop 5000$ to 2900$ for china ban reason and many people sell their bitcoin.But bitcoin holder get huge profit this opportunity and panic seller upset for this.i think  crypto market wil be up ended of this year and bitcoin price reached 50000$

I think that despite the fact that many coins are experiencing now is not the best of times, there are still perspective coins that are worth buying.

As for me, you are not mistaken. This year can be difficult for crypto. Perhaps this year will be the year of the fall of crypto. But the market is cyclical, so the next period will be a period of growth and your investments today will bring you big income tomorrow. But you must be very patient.

It is very good to make a purchase when the price of coins is cheap but at least having a few coins that are potential for your investment too ambitious is not good

You write about the growth of coins in 2018 only because the market is now in a protracted fall.This does not mean that the growth will be rapid, although natural.Perhaps the market has come to its healthy state and will not grow in the near future.

Yes today is the right time to buy bitcoin or altcoin, i already buy iota coin and ethereum coin, this i think has a better future unlike the other coin i invested last few months, i hope this coin will boost this coming ber months8

I agree with the subject , this is now the right time to invest in cryptocurrencies since the market price value of most of the alts and btc were now very low.
If more buying, then demand will rise and will impact the market that could bounce it's market price to a higher level. If you had invested already, make sure you have to hold it for sometime and wait for the expected bullish market to be in place.

It seems that your prediction is very accurate. 2018 is indeed a year of drop. At least we have not seen the bull market so far. And the market is indeed continuing to drop, hope that by the end of the year or next year, we can see a little hope.

I think that you are a good decision. I think that the cryptocurrency has fallen sharply in 2018. Many people are scared. But from another angle, it is a very good investment opportunity to think about the low price of cryptocurrencies. I hope people don't miss it.

this proves once again that as an investor you should never trust what you read online, specially on this forum about altcoins. in fact if anything you should do the exact opposite of what you read in here most of the times since it is usually wrong.
in case of OP, he claims he has started buying and the topic belongs to 5 months ago so he must currently be in at least 50% loss, in other words he has already lost half of his money because he decided to become a bag holder.

Most altcoin having cheaper price and reduced more than 80% from highest. Buying good altcoin with working product is good decision because when market recovery, good altcoin is most favorite investment and price will rising

It is true that now is the time to buy altcoins, because almost all of the coins have dropped dramatically. But we must be more selective in buying altcoins that are good and have good potential in the future. So that we can benefit from the altcoins we buy.

Buying season will be over soon. As you see bitcoin slowly is moving up again and altcoins will follow. So hopefully we will see holding season for the next five months.

Buying when prices go down is indeed a good decision. But do not rush to buy in large quantities, even for long-term collections. Because you don't know what will happen with the crypto market going forward. But if you are confident that the crypto market will be bullish, I don't think it's a problem buying a lot of altcoins.

Buying good altcoins is good move in a red market but most altcoins are not clearly good, so it is in fact not easy to buy good altcoins. I can recommend oax buy and hodl till 2020.

I think that buying of every single altcoins is kind of unnecessary to gain a good amount of profits, just focus on five of them and wait for them to drop as much as you can to buy them.

I think you correctly you do. Nobody knows when falling ends and growth of the cryptoforeign exchange market, and the price now for purchase very good will begin.

Your optimism seems excessive and unjustified, because although it is true that current prices are very low compared to what was observed at the end of 2017, they are still considerably high compared to the prices that most of the cryptocurrencies had at this point in time last year.
