CNBC's April Fockerty has just broke the news that the e-commerce giant, Amazon will be accepting bitcoin as a direct payment option on their platform, as of today. Just browse to the site and find the Bitcoin logo.

Amazons Executive Sales Representative, Andrew Foolery was quoted, "We have seen a increase of our smaller competitors accepting Bitcoin as a payment method and we do not want to be left behind. As a market leader in e-commerce, we are obligated to adapt to the needs of our customers and they have send us a strong indication that they need Bitcoin as a payment option on our platform."

*This is a big step towards mainstream adoption and companies like Amazon will take us to the Moon.

This is a good move by Amazon and with these strategies they will have the monopoly of bitcoin mercantile industry online. Also the price dip is at their advantage so if bitcoin will go up Amazon will earn big time profits and will overwhelm other online stores worldwide. Soon, other companies will follow to increase their sales. Also this will bring a positive impact on the value of bitcoin.

Hopefully, it is not a part of April fools day! Well, it might bring goodness in the cryptocurrency. It is also a good news for bitcoin hodlers because after this week, the price might rise up due to this interesting news to bitcoin.

I think if you have removed those then this thread would have gained a huge shitposter reponse flood within minutes by bottomfeeders who are waiting to spam the thread into oblivion. ;D

This is good news for the cryptocurrency community as we need all the good news we can get now due to prices being low and people could use hearing some good news at this point.

You still did not get the point. This was April Fool Joke. Even if the OP has mentioned that it is April fool joke, a lot of members will fall for this and comment how this decision will help bitcoins.

We certainly do not want such clueless people to invest in bitcoins. They do not have the time to even verify a major news related o bitcoin, how can we expect them to make sensible decisions related to their bitcoin investments.

Today is April Fool and you have been deceived by the author. I have updated the news very fast and I have never seen an article written about Amazon's bitcoin acceptance.  :D
I advise you to be more careful with the news like this. You should check it carefully before investing in an altcoin.

Another very good example that the Bitcoin "investors" in here are often people who are totally clueless - in this case falling for an obvious Aprils Fools joke.

Bitcoin is mainly driven by poor people with limited understanding hoping to get rich quick - and they will ultimately come to regret this

Damn, this is such a great news for us people who love the crypto currency industry. This means more ways to do businesses or reselling and more options for buying and all that stuff with bitcoins since another big thing has accepted it and considered it as a legitimate way of payment. plus the fact that Amazon is big as hell and has millions if not billions of customers worldwide! I just hope that this isn't just one of those april fools jokes out there. That would be a total let down for us crypto supporters. :/

Is an April fool which really makes me wonder the collective sense of humour is these days. Whoever finds it funny is a freak. If someone put it up thinking their customers would be amused they're an even bigger freak.

If it is not an April fools joke then according to me it is a very good move taken by Amazon. It was pretty hectic to pay through through Purse.io every time if you want to buy something from Amazon or any other similar online shopping website. And if it is really implemented throughout the globe it would be great for many crypto users, then I wouldn't have to convert the BTC into my local currency before buying something from Amazon.

This is very cool news, if such large stores start accepting crypto-currencies, then it will very firmly enter our life!

Wow thats a good news for all the customers who shop online that using bitcoin as mode of payment buying their items its a big step to pump again the price of bitcoin before the end of the year. Good choice for Amazon that they adopt bitcoin.

No it’s not, it’s totally a taunting way to fool members of this forum who were devastated and can easily be manipulated by a simple mockery. A community who are thirst of positive news can be a victim of traditional April fools day. Joke or not in this day the investors are suffering from losses I know it’s not against the rules, but can we be so insensitive.

Amazon has officially accepted the bitcoin that shows that bitcoin really has the application and ability to replace money in trading activities, will be a new revolution.

Amazon is the largest e-commerce site in the world, consuming more and more consumers every day through this site, it accepts bitcoin will delight many people and confirm the value of bitcoin payment.

this will be good to all of us and to amazon what a great market strategy. using bitcoin as a payment can attrack more customers that has big number of bitcoin. this will be the new advantage of amazon among all internet related markets.

its a good news, like for me that uses bitcoin, and also use amazon in online shopping, it will be more easy for me now doing transactions and I can use my bitcoin now for shopping online.

This is a relatively good news from Bitcoin recently. We hope that Bitcoin will become more and more successful. We can earn more wealth from the Bitcoin market. Let's add some good news. This will increase the price of Bitcoin.

I tried to visit the link you provided here but it shows page not found. I do not know that why the page show like that. By the way if amazon has started to accept bitcoin then it is really much appreciated as it will support the bitcoin community to provide them a most convenient way to buy and sell any thing with bitcoin. There are many people who were waiting for some bigger shopping sites like amazon to accept bitcoin as they like to use bitcoin directly for to shop their daily needs. It will also help the demand of bitcoin to boost up to the moon.

It seems that many posters here read only than the title of the thread,

Ok, I am going to lock this topic now, because some people are just too lazy to read. I have re-visited the thread and I announced that it was just a April Fools joke. A lot of people ignored the content of the thread and just read the heading and commented on that.  >:(
