Title: Reddit stopped Bitcoin Payment
Post by: Nalbo on April 02, 2018, 08:55:06 AM
One of the most popular social network and business accepting bitcoin as a payment has now stopped bitcoin as a source of payment.
This is in a way backward move for the crypto adaptability.

Can we stop posting new threads for the same thing? Its already been clarified that Reddit didn't stop accepting bitcoin but the payment processor they were using stopped processing Bitcoin payments and is coming up with a completely different mechanism for accepting payments in Bitcoin. And the processor they were using is Coinbase.

To hell with Reddit then. Social media can fall in and out of love with Bitcoin, but the fact is, they will always regret their decisions down the line. Fail to keep up with the times and you pay the price later on. Anyway, things that need you to pay to enjoy a better experience are not really good things to want. Time to spend more time on bitcointalk, would you not say? Watch out for the Reddit and Twitter and Facebook users looking for a new place to call home.

I don't really think so. There's no assurance that they will re-enable accepting BTC payments, though they might consider. See this comment by u/emoney04 on Reddit:

We're going to take a look at demand and watch the progression of Coinbase Commerce before making a decision on whether to reenable.

It is said that Reddit will soon accept in once again. For now they are afraid of instability. (This is the idea of an expert, not mine.)
