Its already been clarified that Reddit didn't stop accepting bitcoin but the payment processor they were using stopped processing Bitcoin payments and is coming up with a completely different mechanism for accepting payments in Bitcoin. And the processor they were using is Coinbase.

Social media can fall in and out of love with Bitcoin, but the fact is, they will always regret their decisions down the line. Fail to keep up with the times and you pay the price later on. Anyway, things that need you to pay to enjoy a better experience are not really good things to want. Time to spend more time on bitcointalk, would you not say? Watch out for the Reddit and Twitter and Facebook users looking for a new place to call home.

I don't really think so. There's no assurance that they will re-enable accepting BTC payments, though they might consider.
