The SafeCoin Team is excited to announce the beginning of the SafeNode Setup Process. This will help guide you through SafeNodes key creation & address funding

Please keep in mind that this is Just the first step We will be providing additional steps very shortly as people's funded collateral addresses gain maturity.

1:    Go to   https://safenodes.org/   on  a Desktop computer  (not intended for mobile)  This is  a local, client-side app.   
You do not require internet to generate these keys.

2:   Create an extremely strong, 20 character or more password with numbers, letters, Capitals, and special characters.   Remember this password As this can be used to reclaim wallet address and keys though the website at a later date if needed

3:   Copy the "SafeKey" & "SAFE Collateral Address"   This is a public key.  You will need these later when more information is released

4:   Print off the resulting keys.  Store it in a SAFE and secure location following best practices for Paper Wallets. Alternatively, use your preferred methods for storage.

5:  Fund the "SAFE Collateral Address"   It may be any amount at or above 10k SAFE.   Tier amounts are 10k, 50k, and 100k.  Compounding will be permitted.
 
That is all for now!  At this time, we just want people to generate the all-important "Safe Key" that identifies your linked addresses on the blockchains.  Please Stay Tuned for further news & Steps. We will be providing a considerable amount of additional  information in the coming days

tl;dr - any amount less than 199,999 keep in one node. The ideal earning range is between 100k and 199k, so keeping the fewest nodes in that range is recommended.

more info: The three tiers, 10k, 50k, and 100k, each earn a little bit more at the base rate, i.e. one 50k tier node would earn slightly more than 5 10k nodes. Also, the earnings are not limited to the base node amount, but are paid based on number of coins in the node. So 15k in a node earns more than 10k in a node. There is an upper limit on the coins in a node that will earn, to incentivize large holders and pools to have more than one node, so amounts above 200,000 in a single node will not earn any more than just 200,000.

2) Will it run on a raspberry pi

Not yet.

3) Do i need a vps?

No VPS is required. However, you may choose to use one if you don't want to leave your PC powered up 24x7.

4) What hardware is required to run a 10k/50k/100k node.

At this time, if your computer will smoothly run a full-node wallet (the agama-based wallet most people use), then you have what is needed to run the first phase of SafeNodes.

5) Do I need a constant internet connection?

Yes, with a reasonable uptime, so that you don't miss out on rewards.

6) Why do I have to register a new address on safenodes? Why can't I use my existing address?

Using the SafeNode registration page is the easiest way to generate all the keys required to run your SafeNode. This will also ensure that your SafeNode collateral is in cold storage. Storing your collateral in a hot wallet is an unnecessary and undesirable risk.

7) Why am I getting addresses for rvn/btg/btc etc.

The notarization process sends information in both directions across the blockchains, so these addresses again are tied to your Safe Key to properly reward notarization's.

8) When will I be able to run a node?

Soon! The basic node, which is a local wallet, will be able to be implemented in this first phase.

9) Can I access my funds in my safewallet?

Two parts: First, as with any cryptocurrency, as long as you hold the private key, yes you can access those funds.

Second part (pay close attention): If you are sending amounts in and out of your wallet address associated with your Safe Key for a SafeNode, you risk losing some rewards. This is because the coins require maturity in order to be eligible for rewards. The way blockchains and cryptocurrencies work means that sometimes to send an amount, your wallet actually sends out a transaction that contains more than the amount that is being sent to the recipient and the "change" is then sent back to your wallet in that transaction. Those coins (the change) would now not be considered mature. So it is recommended to not use your Safe Address associated with your Safe Key this way. Furthermore, by sending coins to and from this single address, you are losing your own privacy.

10) Why do i have to print out a paperwallet?

A paper wallet is considered more secure, as it is not online and connected to the internet. This is also known as "cold storage" and you probably know that all exchanges keep a certain amount of their assets in cold storage to be safe. You should do the same. This allows you to run a "hot" (connected) wallet for the notarization node, using a "cold" wallet to store your funds securely.

Hi does anyone else have this problem?

I’ve created my id, but when I come to use it, I’m redirected to a 2nd authentication page with a QR code on it. I can’t scan it (don’t have a smartphone), so tap the “trouble scanning code” link, which presents me with another screen which has an alphanumeric code with a “copy code” Upton below it, and then below that a data entry field for the code itself.
The copy code button doesn’t seem to work, so I highlighted the code, and copied/pasted it into the data entry field. However when I then try to continue, I get an error message saying that the code has to have 6 numeric digits in it, and I cannot proceed any further.

Plenty of messages in Discord about this. Exchange has had MAJOR back end upgrades, and it is currently in maintenance to work a few bugs out.

Please do not spread rumors when information is readily available.

- If you have any coins locked up, with zero orders open, please send SafeCoin a DM. He will be working on answering all messages today, and when he gets to you he will have a look at the issue.

- If you have a Deposit issue: It is most likely caused from lag from being offline, and the exchange needs to catch up with the activity.

- If you have a Withdraw issue: A number of coins are on Manual Approval right now to ensure safety precautions. All Manual Withdraws will be processed ASAP once verified.

As of this email, Safecoin is now based on a customized Solana blockchain implementation. This dramatic change fulfils SafeCoin’s original vision of providing secure on-chain decentralized trading with the real-time performance of a centralized exchange but without high fees, front-running, or other compromises. The adaption of this new technology is a milestone for the project and enables the full vision of the Ecosystem to come to life and lays the foundation for a complete DeFi package. Every Sunday, SafeCoin holds a public development meeting to keep the community up to date on the weekly happenings. Here is a summary of our meeting from Sunday October 10th.

Final Stages of SafeCoin Swap

Graviex and CREX24 have completed their final integrations into the new Solana-based SafeCoin network. Graviex is using the native SAFE network for trading, while CREX24 is utilizing the ERC-20 “eSAFE” token for trading. While the swap has been over for some time, a final burn of coins remains for the swap to be officially closed.

Ledger Integration

SafeCoin’s addition to the Ledger ecosystem is nearing finality. We are working with a few logistic centers for distribution world-wide. These will be SafeCoin-branded Ledgers. We are eying distribution centers in order to plan for future e-commerce solutions for SafeCoin. Currently, we have the ability to distribute out of the US, Germany, Malaysia, and France.

SafeTrade Update

The latest update for SafeTrade will be coming this week. The first of many Stablecoins will be available on the exchange, Solana-based USDC. By utilizing this version of USDC, users will be able to use Circle for fiat on-boarding. This is the first step in SafeCoin and SafeTrade’s Stablecoin integration.

SafeCash Protocol Development

SafeCash Protocol is SafeCoin’s implementation of Stablecoins on-chain. This is a Road Map item years in the making, and having that ability on the SafeCoin chain will bring speed and security to Stablecoin trading.

SafeSwap Development

SafeSwap DEX development is ongoing. Developer “Metacharles” is doing great work with SafeCoin Smart Contracts involved with the DEX. The plan is to include order book trading, as well as AMM trading to allow for multiple DEX trading options.

Liquidity Pools

SafeTrade will begin using liquidity pools via Hummingbot in the near future. This will bring heavily requested liquidity and volume across a majority of trading pairs. Once released, SafeSwap DEX will also utilize this liquidity.

Fiat Onboarding

A method of Fiat On-boarding is in the beginning development stages, and is a priority in the near future. There isn’t enough information to make public at this time, but it is coming.

I haven't browsed through this entire thread, but I created an account because of an interest in Verus, and it's mentioned in your ToS that there are restricted locations, but I can't find out what countries they are for the life of me.

You've got the fees all laid out as well as the minimum withdrawal amount for each coin, but what frustrates me about many exchanges is that you can rarely find out the minimum trading amount until after you've deposited some coins and tried to do a trade.  It would be nice if you made mention of that somewhere.

Also, your "Media Kit" and "Voting" links appear to be broken.  That does not inspire confidence, just saying.

After several attempts of communicating to them I have resorted to community discussion and transparency is the hope that others are aware of the risk associated with this fraudulent 'exchange'. I have screen shots and history of limited communications. I would suggest you stay clear away from dealing with this so called business unless you want your funds stolen. The fact that the amount lost is so low is incomparable to the effort in taking me to type this message however I feel obliged to warn the community.
