for BTC I recommend Electrum (https://electrum.org/#home) and when you have a lot of coins please use a Hardware Wallet like Trezor (https://trezor.io/) or Ledger (https://www.ledgerwallet.com) to keek your coins safe.

If you have free place on your disk just download full master node bitcoin core. Will be very helpful and security.

Around 200 gigs if I'm not mistaken. It's probably the best desktop wallet available if size and download time aren't primary considerations. You get to run your own full node too, so that's a plus.

Otherwise, you can't go wrong with Electrum or the more popular hardware wallets.

For me, I would give first preference to the Trezor wallet considering the user friendliness and security. I believe that paper wallet with multiple backup copies is a good option too but I don't feel comfortable after using it for more than 1 time whenever exposing of private key is involved. I use Web wallets for quicker transactions but never keep more than 5% of my holdings there!

If you're planning on holding a large sum of crypto, you'll want security to be your biggest factor. For that, you can't go wrong with a hardware wallet like Ledger Nano, or Trezor. However, there are a lot of factors to consider when choosing a wallet, such as if you want a multi-currency wallet, or if you're seeking an exchange/wallet in one. We go over all these factors in our blog post, so check it out  :)

Hope this helps!

For BTC I've tried Electrum.
For hard wallet I've tried Trezor and Ledger. Both of them work just fine. But I suggest you do some research before ordering one to make sure you purchase the original hard wallet.

Hardware wallet - Trezor
Hot wallet- Mycelium
Best Overall- Paper (very risky-most should NOT do this)

There is absolutely no argument to be had when it comes to who has the best hardware wallet and that is Trezor.  I just got my Trezor Model T and it's amazing!  Ledger is garbage.  Trezor T has a one stop shop to do everything and it's simple.  Ledger's platform is in the form of apps, and it's difficult to use.  I'd personally never buy a hardware wallet outside these two.   (Some potential security issues with Ledger "man in the middle attack") ..either way you go only buy directly from the manufacturer.  I'm surprised we haven't seen fake Ledgers or Trezors from China yet, personally.

Paperwallets are the safest way to store bitcoin today, period.  HOWEVER...it is far too difficult for the vast majority of people to do safely.  By safely I don't just mean saving bitaddress.org to your desktop, unplugging your internet connection, as well as having a wired printer.  It's not that simple.  This option takes a tech savvy person who's done a lot of homework.

When you have to use a hot wallet..I really like Mycelium.  They make it very easy to upload paper-wallets, much more so than any hot wallet I can think of.

I've spent a heck of a lot of time making sure this is all accurate info, talking to different "Mr Robot" types as well as testing this stuff myself. This is also for the most part echoed by Andreas Antonopoulos (guys if you don't know who this is you need to.  Check out his youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJWCJCWOxBYSi5DhCieLOLQ).  He really tries to avoid "promoting" companies so he'll say pick a hardware wallet and names a few different brands (normally both trezor and ledger w/no emphasis on either).  Also says the same thing I did about paper-wallets and mycelium.

It definitely depends on several factors including:

1. The amount of crypto in question
2. How the crypto will be used
3. User knowledge
4. Intended length of storage

There are many advantages and disadvantages of each type. We created a "Cryptopedia" which covers this exact topic:

It honestly depends on your preferences. If you're looking to store ERC20 tokens then MEW/Metamask is the way to go. If you're into more recognized tokens then I personally like Exodus Eden.

Browser/Plug-in

Pro: Though only available on Google Chrome, these easy-to-use wallets create and store your private keys on your computer and are always readily available.

Con: As with desktop clients, a web-based wallet is only as secure as the device on which your private key is stored. If the device becomes infected with malware, your key could be compromised.  Highly insecure.

* Examples and cost:

Myetherwallet: https://www.myetherwallet.com/ (Free)
MetaMask: https://metamask.io/ (Free)
Jaxx: https://jaxx.io/ (Free)

Your wallet will depend on what coin you want to hold.  For me, Bitcoin I use Electrum, litecoin I use electrum-ltc, Ethereum I use MEW, online wallet I use Coinbase/gdax because ease of use and they are fdic insured.

If you're committed to getting into crypto, just skip straight to a hardware wallet like a Ledger Nano S, or Tezor. These take a lot of the learning curve out of the equation, and in my opinion are a necessary step forward to consumer adoption. Simplicity is key, and these provide it.

I've never heard of a wallet that takes fees. usually the fees you are referring to are network fees (miner fees). these are non-negotiable. you have to pay them. You can pay a lower fee if you like, but you will wait longer for transaction confirmation, and if you pay too low of a fee, you might be waiting forever.

If you are a Filipino then Coins.ph would be the best wallet for you not only that it has BTC wallet, Coins.ph now have ETH as well.
1. Easy withdrawal.
2. Easy Deposit.
3. You could use to Pay Bills, Buy a load, and etc.
4. User-friendly.

Though, if not, I'd prepare Electrum. It's a little bit complex but it's easy to understand.

No.  If you're new to bitcoin and don't have the necessary skills to know how to properly create a paper-wallet than simply BUY A TREZOR.  Remember if you don't hold the private keys..you don't really own those coins (exchanges/hot-wallets)!  I've tried and tested all the wallets out there and none is better than Trezor.

If Trezor doesn't work for an Alt you want to hold, I'd definitely use a Ledger for those funds (though an inferior product).

First of all every currency has it's own wallet, So it's all depends what currency you are holding, So there is no universal wallet that can hold all the cryptocurrency at one place.

Best wallets depend on your requirement and coins which you are going to store.

Myetherwallet (MEW) is the best secure online wallet for ERC20 tokens.
Coinbase and blochchain.info are best online wallets for bitcoins.
Neon Wallet is best for NEO platform based coins.

The most secure wallet is hardware wallet. It very secure and easy to use.

BTW If you ask me I would recommend using MEW (https://www.myetherwallet.com).
You should install add-on for Chrome - Metamask and add there your wallet.
This wallet will be used for storing ETH and all ERC20 tokens based on its blockchain.
Cheers.

MEW is really great, it's so easy to start and check balances.

For Bitcoin I'd recommend Electrum. Or the full wallet (with optional pruning), v0.16.0 makes Segwit so much easier to use!

Coinbase and Blockchain are both terrible wallets for a multitude of reasons. If you must use a hot wallet I’d use Mycelium. Hardwallets are best for most yes (though nothing beats a proper made paper-wallet).

I would also recommend myetherwallet. combined with the ledger nano s it is very easy to use and you have a sure feeling.

if there is a swap or if the ico smart contract is changed, you can even do it yourself with a guide.
In addition, there are token that you can use as a vote (chsb).

i have searched some references on the internet regarding some wallet. But I sometimes do not believe in some reviews. So, I want to ask you which wallet is good and safe based on your experience.

For Bitcoin - Electrum, blockchain.info. If you say about ERC-20 wallets, I want to advice Trezor/Ledger/Metamask way to save your ERC20 tokens.

Ledger Nano S is the best hardware wallet, use that

I second this, it also works great with MEW. Just have to get used to how it works.

I vouch for Ledger Nano S too. - https://www.ledgerwallet.com/r/42f2

for BTC I recommend Electrum (https://electrum.org/#home) and when you have a lot of coins please use a Hardware Wallet like Trezor (https://trezor.io/) or Ledger (https://www.ledgerwallet.com) to keek your coins safe.
Thank you, I will take note your advice. That's a great help for me.

For bitcoin wallet im using our local exchange cause you can exchange your btc into fiat in seconds. And for ethereum and erc20 tokens i will pick blue protocol cause MEW is having some troubles.

No matter how good and secure an online wallet be, the best wallet will always be the offline one. Most secure and only risk that lies is you losing your pc and not having a backup, which is dumb enough.

There is no such thing as THE best wallet. It all depends on your goals. I usually use MEW for mid-term hold and MetaMask for day-to-day transactions. Exodus wallet is also good. But the main stash of you tokens should be held in cold storage(hardware wallets)! Something like Trazor or Ledger nano.

P.s. .. don't ever be lazy when it comes to the safety of your main investments! Always do the extra step and don't brag about crypto.

Well on bitcoin i prefer taking or try the block chain or the official wallet for bitcoin which is bitcoinwallet , and for ethereum try the MEW or the myetherwallet , the wallet that i narrate is a hundred percent safe and trusted by many users around the crypto world , so no doubt though.

And based on my experience? , since i'm new too on crypto world my friend recommend this wallet too , so i just preferring it you too. So good luck.

* MyEtherWallet is best online wallet for ETH and ERC20 based tokens
* For Neo based token I use NEON wallet
* Coinbase and blockchain.info for btc

But the best and safest wallet is hardware wallet according my knowledge.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of Trezor and Nano Ledger ? Which is better?

Advantages of Trezor:
  • Simpler to use. All coins/tokens can be accessed in just one page.
  • You can see all the address on the device screen before confirming.
  • Has a password manager which is really good.

Disadvantages of Trezor:
  • Has lesser coin/token support than Ledger Nano S
  • Has only one computer inside. Easier to hack.

Advantages of Ledger Nano S:
  • Has more coin/token support than Trezor.
  • Has 2 computers inside, which makes hacking it harder.
  • Has a casing that you can fold to keep it's screen safe from scratches.

Disadvantages of Ledger Nano S:
  • Complex to use. You have to install each coin/token app to the device first before you can use it.
  • Due to the limited screen size; when transacting, you have to wait for the address to scroll across the screen just to check the recipient address before you confirm.
  • Though it has more coin/token support. You can only use limited coin/token at a time because the memory of the device is limited.

Conclusion:
Which one is better is subjective to your needs. I need features that can only be found exclusively on each device so I have chosen to use both. I use the same mnemonic seed for both so I can access the same wallets on both devices which make my life easier too.
I suggest you use the Trezor because of the handy password manager and you can access all coins right away.
I suggest you use the Ledger Nano S for long term investment coins, since it's a hassle to install/uninstall apps just to access every coin/token you want. And, it's not so friendly when transacting all the time because of the small screen size.

For bitcoin, there are several good wallets right now and they are Blockchain, Electrum, Coinbase Etc. For Ethereum I would recommend hardware wallet. Or you can use metamask with myetherwallet. The only myetherwallet is not safe anymore. you can lose all your assets. So, don't input private key in your smartphone to keep you safest.

If someone else (CB) controls the private keys to your wallet, it certainly isn't the best wallet.

Unfortunately, until now there is no universal wallet for all coins. Such a wallet is not possible in principle, as there are new coins new ones appear every day.

I use MyEtherWallet for ETH and all ETH token, etherscan.io for view ballance.

For Ethereum and ERC20 tokens I use MEW and I consider it safe. For Bitcoin and some other altcoins I would use Hardware wallet like Trezor or Ladger Nano S.
Hardware wallets are the absolute safest way to have your property stored in cryptocurrencies. For new and lesser known coins I use a wallet for a certain coin, always with a password.

However the best wallet it can be but if you are a long term investor or do not trade it regularly and have some btc with you then the offline is the best mode to store your btc rather than keeping it on line. As if the exchange go hack you lose your money.

They have helped over 10 million users transact more than $20 billion in cryptocurrency exchanges and is the industry leader for cryptocurrency exchange.  They have a great user interface that is easy to use.
