Plus I thought the original dev re-launched this with 3.3 minute blocks because people complained that 33 seconds was too fast? Also, how many months worth of blocks have you already blown through with your premine/instamine? -MarkM- Title: Re: [ANN] Cubits V2 - Battlestar Galactica - SHA-256d -SCIFI Post by: gorgorom on November 03, 2013, 10:08:38 PM How do you do an eleven second retarget when blocks are only every 33 seconds? Also, how many months worth of blocks have you already blown through with your premine/instamine? -MarkM- Lol. It was relaunched by the official dev because she made the blocks 33 minutes. 11 seconds is an estimate, but I can see now why you say that. And instamine/premine? I didnt know about this coin till way after it was designed, so I never got to "instamine" anything. lol Title: Re: [ANN] Cubits V2 - Battlestar Galactica - SHA-256d -SCIFI Post by: Sampey on November 03, 2013, 10:11:10 PM No Premine/InstantMine
I was here during the second release and i installed the wallet in the first 5 minutes after launch. There was like 100-150 Blocks mined when i finished synch. On the pool I am finding that for some reason BFGminer is generating many invalids. I do not understand why and I have been working on the pool for quite a lot of hours. When I mine using cgminer, I have little to no invalids. This is strange because the back end (eloipool) and BFGminer are developed by the same person. I needed to adjust the coin base value as it has halved. Eloipool requires me the change a couple of hard-coded values every time the coin base changes. Seemed fun to mine but unless there's a point or a use or the pool can take big power, not seeing the reason behind it. Title: Re: [ANN] Cubits V2 - Battlestar Galactica - SHA-256d -SCIFI Post by: dreamwatcher on November 13, 2013, 09:49:42 PM Tried throwing some extra hash power at the pool lastnight but something is up with the vardiff or the coin itself.. if I used a few GH it was fine, but if I put 100-200gh on the server, it crapped out, heavy error rate/rejections/etc. Seemed fun to mine but unless there's a point or a use or the pool can take big power, not seeing the reason behind it. BFGMiner? Not sure why, but it seems with all my pools (different back ends), BFGminer seems to generate a high amount of invalids. This includes pools were the back-end was Eloipool which is developed by the same person as BFGminer. I run cgminer and have 1% or less rejects. It does not matter to me which miner people use , normally I would say use whichever you like best, but something about the latest version of BFGminer seems off. Title: Re: [ANN] Cubits V2 - Battlestar Galactica - SHA-256d -SCIFI Post by: vesperwillow on November 13, 2013, 11:00:31 PM No this was with cgminer. I was hitting several sha256 altcoins last night for giggles and this one was the only one which pooped. I'm presuming it's the backend of the server.

Please move to the V3 thread. this version is no longer supported. 2. you should be able to make your own from the git source. look in the doc folder for readme-qt Mac OS X Download and install the Qt Mac OS X SDK. It is recommended to also install Apple's Xcode with UNIX tools. Download and install MacPorts. Execute the following commands in a terminal to get the dependencies: sudo port selfupdate sudo port install boost db48 miniupnpc Open the .pro file in Qt Creator and build as normal (cmd-B) |
