I'm only holding a few Neo (less than 5) that I bought for a little over $50 , would it be a good idea to trade some for ONT?

Completely different projects. I think it's worth having two of these projects in own portfolio

I'm guilty I did not read the white paper on ONT, I assumed it was the same project as Neo a rookie mistake on my behalf. I thought because they gave out some ONT to Neo holders I assumed it was the same project..

You probably on the right direction. If you trust your instinct then buy ONT. But for me I'll buy Neo as this moment coz I know they have their best technology next to Ethereum with smart contracts alot of Start up owners will build their own tokens.

These are technically very different coins, despite the fact that they are associated with one group of people and companies.

Ontology (ONT) is developed by Onchain, while the NEO is a separate project that is fully funded by the community. Onchain uses the NEO ecosystem. The product, called DNA, is very similar to NEO, but it is written in "Go". OnChain helps other blockers and financial institutions build their block chains with DNA. This is basically very similar to NEO, and in the future they can be linked together.
ONT is a trust structure that mainly focuses on issues of trust, authentication and secure data transfer, while NEO is a more traditional block code with its own currency, which focuses on transactions related to the purchase, sale and trading.

ONT & NEO are both good for invest.

But why? Are you not feeling confident with your NEO? I guess ONT still on the top consider it has been getting a little pump last week ago. You can stay with your NEO for a little bit until there will be a little pump in the NEO and you can try to sell them all to buy more ONT if you can. But that depends on yourself dude. If you are believing ONT for long-term it may become a good choice.

For me If I choose I will choose neo because I believe this coin is a potential and for sure after few months or years of waiting the price will increase more again. Before I did not believe to neo but after few months of listed to the exchanges site I will see the potential of this coin so that's why even the price is very high compared to the last few years ago I still buying neo and for sure most of us are buying neo coin because they see also the potential so if you want to earn more profit better to buy more neo and just hold it for few years and you can make more money ..

i love NEO, so i will always choose and support NEO until whenever.

They are different projects and ONT ceo said that they will need NEO to be successffull if they want to be successfull too. I think ONT attached to neo in some way.
