Title: What's your favorite poker site
Post by: itsamemario on April 03, 2018, 02:03:38 AM
Right now I am playing
ACR Poker for tournies and Nitrogen sports for ring games....  I was playing Betcoin but the kinda fucked me on affiliates and I want to find something better with a big playerbase.  I figure ACR is good because they are offering best tourny selection and 60 cryptocurrencies accepted...

Where do you play?

5Dimes has soft competition. It also accepts Bitcoin and has been there for a while.

The problem with FIAT sites is the fact that it defeats the (pseudo)anonymity part of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies—it's just a quicker medium to transfer crypto to FIAT poker sites.

It would be nice to have some crypto-exclusive poker room that can actually have 100+ players in cash games but I believe that there's a problem with the overlap of crypto & poker players.
For those such sites, I play on BetKing.

Where do you play?

Unfortunately the online poker player base has significantly declined ever since "Black Friday" (https://www.pokernews.com/news/2016/04/black-friday-five-years-later-24506.htm) and games are getting harder and harder (less fish / recreational players).

That being said, 99% of the player base is dominated by 4 companies: Winning Poker Network, Ignition, Chico Poker Network, and The Stars Group.

I will give you a bit of info on each group, as if you plan to play online poker, chances are you will be playing under 1 of these 4 networks.

Winning Poker Network (WPN) - Extremely trusted poker network that has been around for many years. They own Americas Cardroom (ACR) (https://www.americascardroom.eu/), 5Dimes Poker (https://www.5dimes.eu/), Black Chip Poker (https://www.blackchippoker.eu/), and True Poker (https://www.truepoker.eu/). They are known for their generous deposit bonuses, amazing rewards program, and fast support. However, they restrict some US states from playing and their software isn't the nicest. Players have also said that games are harder on WPN but I cannot say for sure whether this is true or not.

Ignition Poker - Includes Ignition Poker (https://www.ignitioncasino.eu/poker) and Bovada Poker (https://poker.bovada.lv/). They used to be separate websites but a while ago Bovada combined the 2 player bases. They are known for extremely fast payouts, a generous deposit bonus, and they have the largest US player base. However, they also have the worst rakeback % and its clear they are aiming for recreational players.

Chico Poker Network - These guys own BetOnline Poker (https://www.betonline.ag/) and sportsbetting.ag (https://www.sportsbetting.ag/). They have smaller player bases but are very generous in their freerolls and bonuses. In addition, they are one of the few networks to serve the entire USA.

I left The Stars Group last for a reason. Although they are the most widely used , a large portion of the world are no longer allowed to play on them due to government restrictions. This includes the US and Australia. If you live in a country where you can play on their sites, definitely do so as they have by far the largest player bases, but if you cannot you would have to use one of the 3 networks above.

The Stars Group - The Stars Group are pioneers of the online poker world. They have by far the largest player base even after black friday. Their main site is Pokerstars (https://www.pokerstars.com/) but they also acquired FullTilt (https://www.fulltilt.com/) a couple years ago. There are basically no problems with them and thousands of games per day, but as I said before the biggest problem is a large population of poker players cannot play on Pokerstars or FullTilt due to government restrictions.

Recently I'm playing at betking.io because there is a great weekly promotion, with the promotion there are some active cash games although not that much. Hopefully the promo will affect its traffic, so it will be a great place to play poker with crypto.
Talking about favorite, I still love a local fiat poker sites because there are so many active players all the time. The site also has nice jackpot as well and some bonuses, unfortunately it is only for Indonesian only as the accepted payment method is local bank transfer.

well it really depends on what you are looking for , I will give you a list of what sites do I use

for sit n goes I play on ACR and Betonline , the traffic for sit n goes is good unlike bitcoin sites where sit n goes never run at all
for MTTs I also play in ACR and sometimes I play in bitcoin sites when I see that there is a value in playing them , but most bitcoin MTTs don't suit my timezone
for Cash you can play all of the sites , just try to have more value for example highly rakeback or a leaderboard like betking and note that nitrogen has been accused that they have bots for their cash games

so you should really try all the sites and play where you find more value , can't really picks a specific site but ACR has all the games you need

Seldom playing on poker because the event really takes time but I played for a while on betking and swcpoker, both of this is having really good tourney and everything is so smooth. Betcoin.ag, I played it there for a while but after some issues I startes to move to betking right now. Not just because of they have the best on everything but I kind of believe what they done with their dice before so I played it there

Also had the same problem, until I found America's card room, a poker room that accepts players from all countries except the USA( really ironic), and they support cash games.

Moreover, there are huge amount of players in-game as they are open to all kinds of players and not to cryptocurrency community only( they allow people to deposit and withdraw both bitcoins and fiat).
Would suggest you to have a look.

My favorite site is Carbon poker. They accept BTC and have the best software after stars. Also player pool is kind of weak in terms of cash games. You can easily find yourself playing with 5 recreationals at nl100/200 tables during the weekend. Their downside is they have small player base and they charge 3% on bitcoin withdrawals.

Pokerstars. I can’t wait for some other site to compete seriously with it but until then, I’ll keep playing there. Unless they raise rake so much that it becomes impossible to profit.

The problem with crypto sites is traffic and also that anonymity makes collusion easier.

Absolutely correct! The main reason should be they accept 6 coins and not that they are a publicly proven scam (https://game-protect.com/betcoin-ag-scam/)! :D

I couldn't find any the best poker site and you already mention what poker sites are the best, but for me, nitrogen sports is the best as of now that I trust and the affiliates are good not the same what you experience in Betcoin.

Like the other said the only way you can play other poker sites is to use fiat or use bitcoin debit cards that you can use for depositing and convert to usd just to play poker in well-known sites like 888 poker.

I would need to say I like poker at 64spades if anybody has heard of it before.
If not I would suggest you join in when they are having a tournament because it is great to watch and if there is a seat available to even play in a session.
You can tip other players if you like after if your winning streak is going into profit.

I enjoy Americas Card Room (ACR) and the other WPN group skin Black Chip Poker (BCP).  They currently accept over 60 different coins for deposits and are pretty quick with withdrawals too.  I also enjoy playing on Nitrogen Sports and 64 spades some times, and am going to be trying betking.io soon too :)  Good luck where ever you play!

Why do you not play the casino games at ACR or BCP and instead advertise your affiliate links for a casino based in Africa without license and reachability?

I've been playing in Nitrogen for many years, but lately, it has become kind of tricky, for they just refuse to give your money when you want to withdraw your earnings. Every time I've won something from the last months, they accused me of something or make some excuse in order to forbid me to take my cash.
Bitking.io is a really nice platform, but the freerolls seem to have ended in there. Nevertheless, it is an amazing place.
I will check out the other sites proposed in here, thanks for opening the thread.

I never heard of they confiscate any number of withdrawal. The recent of their pending withdrawal last time is due to the checking whether they are cheating or not. Last time if I not mistaken there is some issue like this too but in the end they already fix it and pay them well enough. So I do not think you must have some problem with them because it is more than once they confiscate your withdrawal

That line of thinking will allow sites to scam users. If it's their word vs. Nitrogen's and you always pass off complaints as problems associated with the user, then scam accusations will never go anywhere.

It's simple, really. If the community members are allowing you to scam because to them, it seems unlikely that you would do so, then you should.

Kind of like poker theory. If the rational thing would be to never bet, never betting ≠ the best decision.

Normally, I don't tend to have a favorite, I love poker games and play it more, so I have most times played with Nitrogen, Bitcoin Poker and some other ones and this is because, I always like to try something new. If a poker site can provide me with good, fair games, anonymous identity, bitcoin transaction platform and something different from what the others are giving, then I don't mind playing there.

I also don't have a favourite poker site. Usually I check GamblList (http://gambllist.com/) and find out which online casino has the highest rating and offers the biggest bonuses. But there are many sites mentioned here that are not usually included on GamblList, so I'll check them out. Thanks, guys!

Please be careful of 64spades - they have some association with Scotter Clark, I'm not sure to what degree.   Scotter Clark owned the now defunct pokermania.online which was a private poker club in the USA market that ended up stiffing its players and agents for a couple hundred thousand or something like that.  If you searched 2+2 Poker forums, you will find more information.

I have tried many of the coin poker sites and it depends on what you're after. Coinpoker seems to be giving away the most in terms of freerolls but they're really scamy and need personal information to play. It also seems the most rigged or pre determined if you want to call it that but they give the most because they're operating off the investments of a ico.  Nitrogen seems like a waste of time to me and I think they use the same shuffling as SWC, which is quite bad.

The best for me is a new site called cryptopokerclub.io (http://cryptopokerclub.io) because it allows you to play on the browser and doesn't have any requirements. The shuffle is also the cleanest and much more like a real game.

Some of the other guys are too small to bother with, often with 0-5 players or the they never got off the ground at all. Avoid pokereum, Avoid poker shibes, another loser site that uses the mavens network and generally avoid all the ones asking for personal information, selfies, phone numbers, KYC etc.

it's not like coinpoker is rigged , to be honest they have the best software I seen in crypto poker
but the whole concept with their ICO and their freerolls is so shady for me , they are harming their investors and in general it's tough to play there since the coin value is fluctuating a lot

cryptopokerclub looks nice and they worked hard on the software , hope to see more players there

The coinpoker software is 10 years old so they've had time to work out the bugs, It may be fast now because it was designed for Win32 and single core cpu.  Coinpoker is tonybet, this is the old Tonybet site with the visa mastercard page replaced with a coinpoker logo.

If you think they're harming investors by giving away the investors cash you might want to investigate further as the whole basis for the ICO was a lie. They claimed a $1 million investment to date on the software, which is a joke because better software exists in the public domain.

yeah exactly my point , don't know if the software is exactly tonybet software but in general it's good and better than all bitcoin sites at the momeny
yeah the whole ICO is shady , they collected tons of money that they don't really need that's why I was against their ICO
but still they are giving away tons of the tokens for freerollers and that's not a good way to run a business which clearly means they don't care about the site or their investors

I didn't know all this informations about coin poker, interesting project and poker is not so bad. They have many people there playing and a lot of free rolls, at leat there were a month ago, I'm not so active there this days.
It seems like they are doing a good work there, maybe I'm wrong?

Who can say that, I play poker on nitrogen where we can play with bitcoins, I play coin poker too, both are interesting. I like both ways, I think platforms that use their own tokens have a future. It will be like specialized service with their own token, sounds good to me. I also receive mails from crypto poker club, but I try them just for short, couple free games.

Before the black Friday of poker I loved Fulltiltpoker and who's remember the high stacks match up with Isildur and Phil Ivey? I was there, after the black Friday till our days' poker becomes a very limited game, less and fewer players are on the game and the field is harder and harder, not only with more regulation for single states (Outside USA) the rake has increased with a lower ROI for players.

As today the best poker room is pokerstars.com for who can play there but is not crypto related yet.

SCAM.. don't listen to this bumbling third world idiot. vegascasino.io is a proven fraud. Its worse than coinpoker and cryptopoker combined.

As you can see there are many new online casino which have pokers games like vegascasino.io which is one of best poker site. I also play poker in vegascasino.io and aside from playing you can also earn prizes and bonuses. It also support cryptocurrencies like bitcoin so I can easily do deposit. And at this moment they have bonuses once you do deposit where you can earn more bitcoin and prizes. Lastly, if you really to experience good and best poker sites I highly introduced to visit vegascasino.io.

If you don't play often then you should just play via the browser that they have

swcpoker is really older site if I remember it correctly and last time when I played there is a lot of bot which is participate on your bonus games so at that time I stopped coming back again on your site. After that period of time, you guys said about closing the site and now you guys are back. Any reason why?

I have played a few games on clubs with seals since they opened back up. Not sure of any other bitcoin poker sites that have a good player base. Of course Pokerstars, ACR etc but a poker-based one idk

Is it true? If I remembered it well, paat few years ago, they have pretty good game there but somehow there is some issue and they close their site for good. But currently you said that they are opening it back? Is that really true? Mind to give some  link towards to their site? I kind of forgetting it

It is in my signature space and you can earn some promotions by using my link. However I sent you a PM, and like I said in the PM you can ask me anything about the site. (Even if you don't use the ref)

Usually I never used any links from others including this kind of promotion link, it is not that I do not like it but it seems something is not right when I used it anyway so instead of using your link, I would like to directly go for the site. Anyway for the game as well, I do not play poker all the time because it really takes some time, I would like to play it when I only have some times, so thanks anyway

Mine is by far SwC, they have been around for so long and have been doing a great job for years. They had couple of relaunches as well and improved their systems too. They have been getting more and more popular and believe me that is one of the most important things in poker world, if you can log into a poker room and you see tables filled with players and you can join as well than you can have fun, there are too many poker websites with almost no players and you see only one or two tables filled and rest totally empty, SwC is not like that they always have 100+ people live and playing.

The chat is also very helpful even if the support is not around (which always is) you can see people help and answer your questions as well. Their one bad thing I can consider in need of improvement is they accept only bitcoin, would love it if they accepted ethereum too but aside from that they are perfect.

Type of poster who did not read the main idea of a topic before comment. Read the main post first, what is being asked here? But let me tell although you will not care about it.
OP is talking about PvP poker game and you suggest Stake which has no the game as discussed here. Or maybe you do not even know the difference between pvp poker and video poker?

I have not tried playing online poker before with real money involved. I have scanned thru the posts and it seems I would list down all the sites that I had here and try it all and see which has more players and smooth and fair gameplay when playing. I am afraid that I might not be playing legit pvp poker and might be playing with bots if I try online poker.

Fyi stake.com don't have holdem poker, stake has diamond poker and video poker but that's not what OP talking about.

What i heard is holdem poker is one of their goal in 2019.

Nitrogensports and SWCpoker still the best site for crypto poker imo.

I enjoy playing in Vegas Casino it is really amazing since aside from poker they also offer other casino games such as slots, blackjack and roulette. I'm choosy when it comes to casino site since we all know that scam sites is real so we better be careful and aware of everything to avoid losing money. Well as of now i'm glad to play poker in my favorite casino site (https://vegascasino.io/casino/video-slots/crazy-bananas?utm_source=cccb) it gives me great experience and opportunity. It is a great advantage to play because it is a lot easier and less hassle , it also safe and secured that's why I am comfortable why i'm playing.

I think stake has just a video poker and unfortunately their next ask at hand could be a sportsbook not a poker website, I know they are gonna open a poker website one day but it looks like its not going to be any time soon. They are now providing a video poker where you can win or lose but the house edge is still there and you are probably not gonna make much money from it which is really a shame considering people who play poker want to play against other people not against a house edge which makes sure you lose in the end.

After the sportsbook deal than they will focus on poker but considering that will take years for now we are not gonna see any poker games from them for a long long time. Meanwhile SwC is still improving their position as the best place until there is a rival for them.

I like Pokerstars the most. I play there since my student days. It has only one drawback - it does not accept cryptocurrency for payment.
That is why I increasingly began to play poker on Stake. And I start to like it more and more. However, sometimes nostalgia comes and I return to the old site. And I run between two fires)

Why look for something new, if you are completely satisfied with the site that you called. I do not like to constantly look for something new. For me, the main thing is reliability and confidence that they are not deceiving me and I can at any time withdraw my money to my wallet.

I wonder why many people are unable to differ between pvp poker and video poker. This discussion is about pvp poker sites and you are mentioning Stake which is not even providing pvp poker game. I advise you to not read the title of the thread only, but at least read the main post also.

And if you grow tired of playing, they have blogging section wherein you can read interesting threads while taking off your mind on the games. Applications developed on the IOS platform encounter many difficulties. Gambling-related applications are rigorous and challenging to accept on the app store. With the Android platform, everything becomes more comfortable, and you can upload it to CHplay easily.

It depends on what form of Poker you are talking about op since there is a diverse variety of poker games available. If you are talking about PVP poker or live dealer poker games(Pai Gow Poker etc), Bodog does the job for me even though I am a newbie in the Poker world.

If you are talking about something like Video Poker, I suggest checking out Stake in this case. This is why you need to specify what form of Poker you are interested in.

If you read the whole main post, you should know what kind of poker game he is talking about since he is mentioning three different sites. First is ACR (America Cards Room), Nitrogen and Betcoin. The only same game provided by those three sites is pvp poker game, it is also clear as he is saying about "ring games" which is available on pvp poker game only IMO.

If I understand this correctly, few people are playing poker these days and it's becoming harder to find pokers players to play with?
So as a result, the companies you listed are providing the poker players themselves?

not few but way less that what it used to be before Black Friday
before Black Friday people could  play poker pretty much anywhere in the world without getting problems , so it was easy for people who just want to have fun to create an account and deposit
after BF there were many restrictions also people kinda started to be scared of that happening again so the majority of fun players just stopped playing

now it's way harder to profit of poker due to lack of available sites and due the fact that the majority of the players these days at least have decent info about the game and how to play it

I play mainly on Bovada poker due to their low withdrawal and deposit minimums. I’m a recreational player so the lows are nice to have.

To be very much honest,
I play poker very less.
But yeah i give it a try, when i become bored from my regular Dice games.
So the best i can suggest you is Nitrogen.
They are the most trusted and reliable one, you can fimd out in the market.
Hope you make a lots of profit from it.

ACR Poker sites is a better site, so this is my favorite poker sites.
Yes I know it's a thing of choice but I would want you to be more specific why ACR poker is your favorite when logically it's not even amongst the top 10 poker site any where around It Do not have enough pedigree yet to match others

Well, if I am not mistaken ACR poker is accepted more than 60 cryptocurrencies as used to deposit. Quite good but I there's allegation made by some users who got delayed payment. Indeed, they are weak in service especially in the withdrawal of your fund. I do not know if until now they are facing on that the same issue. A newly launched poker site located on my signature just click on it and you will see how good the UI they had.

I am also interested in ACR poker gambling and I have also played at ACR, I am sure that ACR poker is the best poker gamble in the whole world, because the members play correctly / honestly.
I have also been part of other casino gambling, like Siddiqui "Sheddy" etc.
I hope for ACR poker in the future can be increased or at the level of international games.

I'm pretty sure that this topic is about pvp poker game, as far as I know bitcoinpenguin does not provide pvp poker but video poker. If you are answering about video poker game, obviously you did not answer the main question of the topic. Also about Asian gambling apps, can you give more details about it? I'm Asian, but I have no idea what application you are talking about, whether it is application for free games or a gambling application.

I know this is bitcointalk and you are all probably wanting to bet on fully crypto places and all that (which exists) but I still feel
like nothing can beat pokerstars. I mean it is hard to find a way to stay anon and still gamble on pokerstars but if you can just manage to do it once and deposit then you will learn the ways without a problem for the next times you want to deposit, it is just hard for that first time. They have insane amount of people online at all times, you can play a hand anywhere you want and move to next hand somewhere else keeping you constantly betting without any waiting period and you can play in a thousand hands in an hour easily without problem. Its just too good to pass up.

I mean SwC is clearly the leader in poker crypto world to me but even they are way way way behind pokerstars.
