Title: reshape of self-moderated policy
Post by: charlie137 on April 04, 2018, 12:35:44 AM
i noticed that its getting easier and easier for scammers to push their product by deleting posts with sensitive information. i suggest to take this power away from scammers. (also https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3241214.msg33880217#msg33880217)

Although this is what we all hope for, it isn't going to happen (unfortunately):

19. Possible (or real) scams and Trust ratings are not moderated (to prevent moderation abuse).

Having said that, this is the latest change that was implemented (in order to reduce the possibility of being scammed [there's other reasons as well]):

The selfMod bit will now be permanently cleared when a non-mod moves a topic into a section which doesn't allow selfMod.
