Title: Best countries for an ICO
Post by: Roxterrio on April 04, 2018, 12:44:39 AM
I know the topic was covered a bunch of times already, but the rules change fast and really curious on getting the most recent thoughts on this.

What countries in your opinion are the best for the ICO's right now and is it likely to drastically change in the next 2 years, and why?

Thanks!

P.S. To moderators: Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong part, please move

Every country has its positives and negatives when it comes to ICOs. The worst probably is United States across the board, but the ICO itself is more regulated by people looking to invest rather then the company itself. This means that running it in any country will work, but you need to follow each participating countries legal rulings when it comes to the ICO itself.

As for the best country I would say Malta just for the fact they are pushing the blockchain technology and very large cryptocurrency companies are moving there.

Of cause when we are talking about "good" or "bad" countries for an ICO, we are mentioning legal regulations inside these countries.
That is why it is possible to say, that best countries for ICOs are countries where crypto is not regulated yet.
Because if it is forbidden to do anything with crypto is the country, you are breaking the law.
If crypo field is accepted by laws, you have to pay taxes.
And if there is no regulations, you can do whatever you want  ;D

Hi, you have a great topic for discussion, but for me, i believe those countries that does not regulates cryptocurrencies are good for ICO's., I mean i also believe that this countries that legalize bitcoin are a good example of countries to run for ICO's., but of course there are lots of positives and negatives that would happen when running an ICO's.

Nevertheless, i hope that this existing ICO's running in the market would adhere to their business goals and continue their development in order to satisfy their customers and business clientele.

Have a great day.

I guess the best countries, for now, would be Europe and the countries of south Asia as they didn't so much regulation on Icos yet and i will stay away from USA because it made alot of restriction on Icos and cryptocurrencies in the last couple of months

France should become another choice but the ico creator must register its ico to the regulators to get an official license from AFAC. But canadians countries look the best place for the majority of ico companies right now consider there is on a lot of restriction to run ico in there. Just like bitfinex will try to move its company to the canadian country.

I think Japan and South Korea are the best countries for ICO. Of course, there are some government regulatory voices in these two countries. It may be possible for the ICO to develop further after a moderate regulation, and it is clear that in these two countries, the attitude of the ICO is very open. In addition, Russia may also have the best choice of ICO, but there are many frauds coming from here, so we must be careful.

Every country has its positives and negatives when it comes to ICOs.
Not really, there are countries which prohibit ICO means only negative for ICO there and also country with strict rules and the some which ICO friendly, even USA only allow accredited investors only to invest into certain ICO and really prohibit ordinary people to invest into an ICO.
So it's better to make analyzation first regarding which countries is cryptocurrency friendly and which is not.

Author, do you mean best for running ICO or investing in ICO?
The answers will be different.
For running ICO are better countries with little or no regulation.
For investing in it are better countries where there is regulation because it'll be safer for investors to invest into checked ICOs.

I think that it is not the country itself who will make a good ICO, it will be the team behind the project. No matter what country is the team came from, as long as they are dedicated to their work and will true to their investors, it will be one of the best ICO. Of course, the project must also have a good vision, mission and unique to others. Even a third world country can make a good ICO, it will really depends on the team.

I can only think of two countries, Malta and Japan, they are open minded and they adopt the blockchain technology, I will fully support projects or ICO that these two countries endorse, one of the ICO that Malta supports is Providence, so Providence has all my support.

in my view a country with a good economy will produce a good ICO. but the rules of state regulations will always change according to the state of the country's economy.

it's better to bypass projects! Even in the countries of the Asia , EU ,USA there is SCAM, what then to talk about the CIS.

I think that Switzerland is now the best country for ICOs. Now many projects and well-known exchanges are moving to Switzerland, because the laws of this country are very good for cryptocurrencies goods. I think, if some countries change their attitude towards cryptocurrencies, these countries will also be favorable for the new ICOs.

The best countries were those with the highest number of successful ICO cases. ICO Producer experts used the data of the Coinschedule site - they sorted ICO by the total number of investments and selected the first hundred projects from the list. Then they contacted their developers and asked in which countries they registered the ICO. Of the one hundred projects, 47 could not respond to the request. Thus, the study was conducted on the basis of data from 53 successful ICOs, which attracted more than $ 10 million.
Singapore Switzerland Cayman Islands

In two years many things will be different, the best countries for raising icos are the countries without any laws about icos and cryptocurrencies, and it would be the best for all of us to stay like that. Icos are already regulated by their white paper, you know how much coins they will have, their plans, governments will try to stop ordinary people to be free to make icos to invest in them, governments will try to earn from us again, or take money from us. In same time companies that wish ti make ico will be stopped cause of the government regulations, they will need to pay again to some big corporation to do that for them. All in all fuck government regulations, I hope there will be at least couple free countries in all this planet.

Estonia, Switzerland and Slovenia are all super friendly ICO/crypto countries.

IF the ICO has to do with mining though, might try Georgia - the electricity there is super cheap and there's little to no taxes on mining.

From my personal point of view, the ICO in any country has its good and bad side. It is important that we have professional expertise in evaluating an ICO.
In order for ICOs to make better changes and prevent fraud, I think the Japanese and Americans will do well.

Lets get about this question in other way round! The countries which are banning the ICO's are the worst to start with (off course) and you can always trust all otters countries because they are the only one left who can legally put ICO's up front! So with that in mind we can straight away say that America, Part of Europe, China and Indonesia are the countries which has bad reputation of the whole ICO idea.

So if you ignore these countries then in rest of the world the ICO stuff is rally doing great. Off course anything coming from the Japan would be far more legit than any other country considering the fact that they have already made up the legal tender for it.

Only few countries were restricted their citizen from investing into ICO and most of the countries allowing us to participate on our own risk but in future  we may see the changes in ICO inestment in many countires because many countries were regulating the crypto currency investment so mostly ICO will be restricted in that case.

I think Swiss country is having best urge to have ICO's in place. Due to the fact that they have more or less no restriction over the ICO formation and crypto adoption they are very much ahead of other countries in giving out genuine ICO's. I have experienced many ICO's from Swiss side who always become more successful than the others. This might be because people over there are very much interested in investing real money into them and high throughput is always guaranteed for such ICO's. So do check that one. And im guessing second popular country is Japan while non-popular or very much restricted country is America.

Although not a nation, this British Territory boasts one of the most exciting areas to build an ICO. Through its steady political and legal foundation, many companies have gone abroad, many of whom are corporate clients because they like the legal and regulatory frameworks that relate to them. International standards are more than operating under a brand management environment, which will make speculative initiatives more adaptable.

Slovenia is a good one. They really interested in cryptocurrencies. Their government is keen to help make Slovenia a Silicon Valley of the blockchain. Also, it's one of the cheapest countries in Europe.

I think Japan is still the best, because this country has the majority of people already understand and use crypto, of course when there is a new ICO, ICO should be good because its citizens understand the world of crypto.

I think offshore zones like Gibraltar and isle of a man are good options because they don't have many problems with regulation. Also Belarus is pretty good for that because of 0% taxes.
Before I'd say that Russia and Kazakhstan are good options too but I don't think they are good right now due to uncertain rules of regulation.

And if there is no regulations, you can do whatever you want  Grin

China and the US are quite bad due to strict regulations. The U.K. seems to be very good as far as I’m aware however you will need to pay tax on earnings. Other countries you do not
Yes, here in our country we don't pay taxes yet on what we have earned in crypto but i think if more people are aware of crypto in our country i think our government will change it's stance on crypto and may taxed us.
