Title: Marine Chain Platform - due diligence
Post by: jeaninvest on April 04, 2018, 10:32:17 AM
Hello everyone

I am looking to invest in asset backed crypto this year. It feels less speculative and more secure. I am interested in novel uses of block chain and came across Marine Chain (www.marine-chain.io) run by Tony Walker from Singapore. It tokenizes vessels allowing for multiple owners and liquid trading.

Has anybody else investigated the company or conducted due diligence? Interested in thoughts from the community.

Jean

Hi Jean, ???

I was also interested in the concept and did some digging. The first thing I noticed is that the website directly copied shipowner. Io 's website which looks like a competitor. They even stole the exact same dropdown menus! I'll DM you a screenshot if you're interested. Looks dodgy but will see if I can get anymore info.

I initially quite liked the look of this offering but having done some more thorough checks I would be inclined to steer well clear. I'm not certain marine chain is an out and out scam but the website is amateur and at least one of the principal officers behind it is a North Korean who is trying hard to conceal his identity. Avoid avoid! DPRK alt coins are not a great investment IMO

It's so exciting when two just registered newbies do this conjunct elephantine  attempt to advertise their project.  :D

I saw this project some weeks ago and I just blew it off.  I just didn't understand what they want to do and how to go about it.

Even if it's an airdrop,  folks has to stay away from any thing that ain't cool

Not at all related to the Marine-Chain, but the name reminded me of Marine Coin, which was itself a disaster.  They planned on using the profits of the coin to purchase an island, and create their own crypto backed nation.
