There are so many campaign going on related to the Merit, and that can be the easy way to earn merit. If you know about those campaign than please do share the merit.

I read a post that some people are trading their Smerit, to me I still think this merit giving is very subjective because if you are my friend I can decide to give you merit if you ask me to, because I have nothing to lose doing so and he can also replicate the gesture by dashing me his, I hope this would be look into to make it more objective

Merit system is really with friend to friend basis and exchange,
we dont getting any free SMERIT from the forum creator, and we must go over at the very best post.
BUT, there are no guarantee that you will get merits from you post even if it is a very informative or lets say a great post.
so many people are hungry on this, anger will soon to rise.

Currently earnning Merits is very difficult. You need to be very active on the forum and write comments which are extensively helpful for other users. In this case, there is a chance someone grant you merits.

I think to get merit is very difficult, we can not manipulate it because it will break the rules.
we can exchange merit with friends, but you have to bear the risk (red trust).

 I really dont think that as of now we can easily obtain free merit. I have been doing my best to make a high quality post and help others with my reply, but nothing changes to my merit. Obtaining it as of now is so hard. But I am not giving up, I will strive more, do much high quality post more, help a friend and maybe soon hopefully I can get ranked up even in just a member.

merit system is useful in reducing spam in this forum but for me personally if i am hard to get merit then it does not matter to me because my main purpose is learn about crypto world.

Campaign going on related to the Merit, what do you mean? Please state one of the campaigns that are currently related to the merit system. Is there an advantage where you will get a merit if you joined the campaign and post things? And no, it is not easy to earn merits but if there a campaign like that I will consider joining it in the future.

Hi. It is not easy to get merit, it is normal to get merit. There is no technology to get merit. Just do smart and really useful publications and I think many of BTT users will say thank you, if it really will be worth it.

Merit is the most difficult thing to get on bitcointalk. Its never a easy thing to get. If you want to get merit you must be very active on the forum and post meaningful comments on the forum in order to get merit.

Yeah Must be active in this forum It's easy to get a merit if it makes a meaningful post for everyone not just for thread creator no friend IMO and all sharing professionally by looking at that user's post ,I share merit not see who create post but share with view content very good quality

Every local board i think have a challenge that rewarded by merit. Just answer Question, doing task, contest, etc.


Active in this forum is not enough, if you just post like "thank You", "very intersting", "very usefull", etc merit will not come to you.. no one will pay without work, same as merit. No one will give you merit is your post is useless.

Simple ways to know about people getting merit, just go to his BOTCOINTALK PROFILE, and click MERIT link.. there is some post that have potentially get merit and do same like that. Same meaning is not copy-paste.

I am new to forums. I greatly appreciate reading replies about merits. I learned a lot from everyone.
How long does it take for someone to get merit? Or it really depends on how active you are in the forum and someone notices your great help to theother members?

Getting merit on this forum is even difficult than identifying a project that will be successful these days. You can create an interesting thread that can attract thousands of replies and yet you would not get even a single merit. New members who came to meet the merit system are not finding it easy at all.

Well, if there is such campaign that would enable one to get merit, that will be good, but that is not my main concern. I am more concerned about the knowledge i gained from this forum, which has been achieved through the merit system.

But not all the great, constructive and informative posts are givem merits. After all, not all merit source will be browsing thr whole forum searching for great post just so they can give them merits. So this doesn't apply all the time. Although there are threads that gives merits by means of tasks or something.

With the forum making merits such an important part of ranking up it has become increasingly harder to get merits. The people who have them are not very willing to part with their merits so it is very hard to get them. Some people might end up resorting to paying for merit

Begging of merits here is prohibited it will cause you a negative trust so don't do that,I think getting merits are not easy to get you need to make a more effort to get that or maybe by posting, the more posts you have the more chances to earn that merits but it must be have sense or your answer must fit to the question.

I think that merit is not an easy way to earn,unless you are a good poster and useful massage.
I think also by getting merit is be patience.Time will come you have it.

Really? There are campaigns that are giving free merits? What kind of campaign it is? I think there's no such campaign like this, and there's no easy way on earning merit. Because merit is only for high quality posts that could be very useful to someone, and even though you're a high quality poster you have no guarantee that you can earn merits from every post that you've made, because most of the members of this forum don't care about it.

You are completely right, i have seen a LOT members who are clearly meriting each other.
And only few who manage to get MERITS for their actual quality posts.

Actually,I find it hard to earn merits during its newly introduced in the forum. I was like beating a challenge in order to get to know more about merit accreditation. Eventually,I got the prior information and I'm making my best just to give genuine reactions because that is a must of course. Maybe others feels easy about earning merits because of their ranks which make them in higher position. As of now,it has a slow movement to rank up because of earning merit case.

To earn Merits, you have to have good content and useful for the user. And the mod also has merit event if 20 post you post is helpful and not spam. Making Merit is easy with mods, and it is tough for members to participate in this forum. So I think you should invest in quality content to be able to earn Merits.

it is not easy to ask for merits even to a friend. Perhaps our friends will also find it very risky for themselves.

The more active you get in the forum the more chance you got of getting merits. In idea, it's a great system but since its humans using it, we're taking advantage of it. It's us who gotta change, not the system. If we don't abuse the system, give and take merits as it's supposed to, the system will work pretty much flawless.

It is not allowed to sell merit in the forum as far as I know, but it is true that some users tend to keep it for their friends. I don´t know if that is really correct.

It is difficult to earn and difficult to buy. Lots of posts here now about buying merits but equally a lot of scam accusations as well. Better off trying to post something useful to the crypto community and earning a few merits.

I find it hard to earn merit. Outside of these threads, I can see plenty of posters not recieving merits for great, well constructed posts.
On the other hand, you can sometimes see some replies getting merited, which have little to no constructiveness. Yet, it gets rewarded.

Well, it is more easy when you have a good background or knowledge in different fields, especially for cryptocurrencies, Blockchain.., and IMO I think that the skills is very essential in order to facilitate getting merit points, but regrettably, many users in this forum lack these qualities or characteristics, that's why they cannot get any merit point, and always complain due the existence of the merit system and the difficulty of rise in rank for some users.

On the other hand, thanks to theymos,  the  merit system is going so well, and it has helped this forum in order to improve many things, especially the behaviours of the members, and fortunately, I saw many of them gave a great effort in order to get merit point, and it is pretty good  that the some campaigns become dependent on merit points because there are many scammers/spammers in Bitcointalk.

According to my experience , I think this is the right  way to get merit point.

It's increasingly difficult to earn Merits because even after dropping some valuable information, some people forget to give the smerits. Merits are also shared amongst friends and allies, hence the reason some worthless posts get merits.

I do not think for how long it takes to get merit and what is the criteria to say that you make a constructive post that capable for the merit. There are small number of people who share their merit to others, some are giving this because they know that person and ask for it.

It is easy to earn merits on one hand and it is hard to earn merit on the other hand,  the reason why is that people can easily give TV those they know merit without necessarily having an extraordinary post while some have constructive posts without no merit from no one

actualy its not easily to get in merits as of now,because even how you ever good about on your quote or your  statement into this bitcoin forum,or even you can get the best point of your statement,theres no one who should give it to you,unless you have so many friends of this community,even you can find a great campaign,because theres no one would gift you a merit.therefore in my own thought this merits,is only a barrier so that you can not reach to the position into this community  as you like easily.

Absolutely!! It not easy to get merit you need tobe active and be friendly in this forum site or maybe create some helpful topic to attract more reader and wait to award you some merits.Theres a lot of thread in this forum offer some servises that can give you a merit.

getting merit is not easy, besides having to make a very high quality post, but we also must be correct in choosing topic discussed. And also must be properly seen by those who want to give merit. So even if you've chosen a topic and have been posting quality, if our post is not seen by the account that will give merit, it is also useless

I do not think it's easy to find merit in bounty because I've done that and did not get anything.

Earning merits is very hard job.Generally, friends exchange between their friends. This system very nice , but actually people dont know how to earn merit from post.

I don't find it easy to earn merits. Actually, I find it so hard. Because not all people wants to give even though you have posted a quality post. If there is a campaign that gives merits, I hope to find one too.

you can't buy and selling your merit! this is merit abuse! you will get red trust if you exchange your merit. i suggest you to make a constuctive post and you will get a merit from other member. improve your post quality mate and you will get some merit

It feels like a very long time had passed already because of the merit system. Members are very excited and inspired to be active on forum because of the old ranking system but since some have also abused the use of it, there is a good reason for the moderators to implement the merit system.

We are really having hard time earning merit for so many reasons and @Swenna is right that even if you have a constructive and informative post, there is no assurance that you will get merit for that. Some members have lay-low because they were saddened of the merit system but I am happy to see, even if some members give up, the forum is looking healthier again than before. It may be hard to earn merit but as long as it is for the forum, I would be happy to oblige with the new system.

I think that earning merits is something like a luck if your post is being recognized by the moderator.  In my case,  I will continue what I believe in doing good in my postings for it will be soon recognized someday and just don't rush too much to get into the next rank for it will come soon.

The Merit system brings a very painful process for beginners. The people who bought Bitcoin on the first exit are very profitable. Those who have their first membership in the Bitcointalk Forum site have also taken the fast pace and continue to benefit from it. The Merit system was absolutely necessary, I agree with that. But I do not want to live here the same regret that I have for Bitcoin. I am constantly doing research, I am trying to open the topic, but I have not got the merit yet.  I will continue to work with determination. Justice will manifest. Maybe one day hoping to become a member :)

Maybe you are right on some issues but certainly the goal of the administration with this merit system is to improve the quality of post in this forum. Friend to friend giving of merits will surely happens but you can be tagged by DTs here if you do that.

Why you are giving up easily? Try to improve your post with meaningful thoughts and ideas that can be helpful to others.

Most of your posts are too short although there are some meritable posts that doesn't have to take long characters as long as it is informative and the content is there, you will be merited. If you have given up the merit system, you can still join discussions as usual.

Not only the moderators can appreciate posts, everyone that has sMerit can give merit to valuable posts.

Merits are not obtained easily. Your constructive and meaningful post might be rewarded by users of this forum, but I doubt that you can earn a significant amount in this section. I am not a fan of Merit system as I see a lot of great posts that are not spotted by people with Merit and therefore not rewarded for their great posts. On the other hand, if you focus on other sections where people with a lot of merits are, you will be rewarded a lot of times if your posts make sense and are valuable for other users. It would be challenging, but earning Merit? Worth it!

Most useful and informative can be own new topics on the forum, in which a question is revealed that has a great value for many.

Everyone can give a merit and not only a moderator. And it's not just luck if you receive it. Posting long paragraph is what common people here know that a good and constructive post that's they are waiting for merits on it. Constructive post has a sense, very informative and unique. Only few users in this forum are posting on this quality.

In my opinion, merit is given and take among friends although I sent merits to people I don't know, sometimes I forgot to give merits to a  good post, but I also believe that we need this kind of feature so people will be more creative on their post.

Merit system are good thing to avoid people to do multi accounts , before people made more then one account and spam whole day.. So for few week they have 3 or 4 Full Member account , which they use for bounty campaign or even for sale. Right now you hardly get to the Full Member rank with only 1 account. In other side , I was few post away from Sr.Member and they introduced Merit system. Now I'm in same position like members who have 120 activity. So for me that was really unfair, but I'm move on. There are no easy way to get merit, you must be active and write informative posts, maybe someone notice you and give you merit.
