Title: I have been offered to become bounty manager for a ICO? My account is newbie.
Post by: dannysavage on April 04, 2018, 10:59:43 PM
So like subject says, i have been offered to become bounty manager for a ICO from my country.

I have been doing bountyes for 3 months now, i do know how bounties work and what should i do + i have assistant who would help me manage it. But i have never been doing bounties on bitcointalk, always on 3rd party services like bounty0x, bountyhive.

My account is newbie. Is it smart for me to be bounty manager for them? We could easly handle all the tasks...

What do you say?  ??? ???

If they really want you to become their bounty manager, I think the best thing you could do is to upgrade your account into copper member. You need to pay a fee for that and in return you will be allowed/able to post images even if you are a newbie.

For more info, check this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104

You may also want to grow your account in a natural ways by taking part in bitcointalk activities and contributing to the community. Taking this way you will see your account growing naturally fast.

I think the right question should be, "having you as their bounty manager, is the right move?"
- My answer (if I look at it in general) is "NO" but since you mentioned having someone as your assistant (if he/she has been in the community for good amount of time and knows everything), then it might work out fine (I still have my doubts though).

Take note:

- If you'll be handling a signature campaign, refer to this (I personally suggest to not handle one, you still lack the experience needed with this type of campaign):
Signature Campaign Guidelines (read this before starting or joining a campaign) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1684035.0)

- For other types of campaigns, I guess it's pretty straightforward.

Before I forget: Anyone can handle a task, but not everyone is capable of handling it the right way.

you must upgrade your level from jr member to hero legendary becouse if newbir or junior member cannot used post the image
Corrections:

a) His/her current rank is "Newbie".
b) Jr. member and above ranks, have the ability to normally post images.

As you have said, You are just doing bounty for 3 months only outside Bitcointalk Forum and you stated that you know already how bounty works here? I wonder what is the experience of your assistance if the manager has insufficient experience here. As per stated above by other member, You must not do this task since you are just newbie in both forum and bounty campaign. Being a responsible manager is hard AF especially when you encounter worst bounty participants. You will regret it if you have no balls on managing them.

I've done same post on Croatian section of forum and opinions here and there are really different. One bounty manager told me he's able to handle 6 campaigns at same time ALONE, and he's not even that experienced.

Regarding newbie rank, i think i'll grind Jr. Memeber i no time.

What takes most time when u handle campaigns?

Regardless of what your intentions are, it really takes time (in order to become a good manager). What's your level of understanding in regards to the whole forum? Can you actually differentiate a spam post with a quality one?

That will always be the end result.

One bounty manager told me he's able to handle 6 campaigns at same time ALONE, and he's not even that experienced.
Are those campaigns being managed correctly (I doubt it)?

Going over (reading) the applicants/participants posts (most don't do it, they just pretend [unfortunately]).

Forgot to state im actually pretty good at doing internet in general. I am a fast learner and im open minded so there is no limits for me when i have interest for something. I really want to become good bounty manager, since i believe that will open a lot of doors for me in crypto space. I'm here long term.

First of my word is "Congratulations, mate".... :). It is rare occasion for someone to be a bounty manager, so I think it is a good chance for you. I think you have basic knowledge of a bounty, but I think still need to learn a lot specially in this forum.

I do not know how they appointed you to manage these ICOs. But if that is the case, you must be a very skilled guy. Added to that, if you want other members to trust you, then you should rank up your account, and I am sure you know how to do so with the added new system including the activity. To be honest, I have never seen a newbie running a campaign before. It is a good thing as long as you are not scumming people.

Bro we people are working more than 25 plus campaigns mate. If all wish to be campaign manager what to do mate. You need to be a campaign manager for the any project. First experience needed mate or else someone should recommend you managing the campaign mate.

There are newbies cannot be find the place even in bounties. Please improve your post quality and gain some merits and then go with bounties for sometime. Then signature campaigns and finally you can get hired for manager position mate.

You are a lucky guy dude, that is a good opportunity to be a bounty manager specially for your portfolio. I guess you are still not familiar with this forum from your rank, it doesn't matter as long you can learn common bounty system in bitcointalk forum as the manager have authorization to create campaign rule. If you need advice, I am available to talk :)

There's nothing wrong for a newbie to work as a bounty campaign manager so as long you know what you're doing. Your account rank level does not equate to skill. It's just important that you know that the tasks and functions of the manager and to pick your participants well. Your participants however may be reluctant of trusting you to pay them so I suggest that you get an escrow first since you're not as reputable.

Congrats for you man !

Try to pass your account quickly to Jr Member and then you can post pictures (Jr Members are allowed to do it).

After that, do not hesitate to recruit or be helped by other people (community managers) in order to manage subsequent social media networks (FB, Twitter, ...).

An open question to everyone as I am interested in: how are you managing telegram bounties ? Do you buy special bots to do it ? I didn't find an export function for the list of participants to a group  :-\ ???

Have a nice day  ;)

By upgrading your account will help you post images which the lower ranks are not allowed yet. It is a break for you and don't miss it because it will be a good experience for you. More power mate :D

Good suggestion because creating a bounty thread would really need on posting images which isn't currently unavailable when you are still on newbie rank unless if you do upgrade to copper member then you would really able to do such thing.
For op queries, managing bounty decision would really depending on you if you do accept it or not.If you do see that you can able to handle and manage people. Then why not? All starts on being a newbie if you do able to handle it well then expect there would be more future projects for you if you handle it improperly then you do know on what would happen next.

it doesn't matter what kind of membership you have when it comes to reputation and skills but it does matter if entering as a manager, There are bot Bounty participants who continues to spam the entire forum with their alt accounts so you better be picky to the participants.

Talking about Membership, if you want to advance in any rank, then Donating 50 Bitcoin is appreciated, but it's not necessary. 3 months is not enough i guess but a good start. just be fair and square, always remember being a manager is being a good model, you hire participants to promote or advertise a certain Legal project. Pick trusted project, have mercy to investors.

Yeah. There is no problem since you can pay to be a copper member to have the benefits of a full member. The question is that you should know how to manage since the success of the project has something to do about how you manage the bounty campaign and other contributing factors. Also, study their project because they might turn out to be a scam. It is quiet questionable though why they chose a newbie to manage a campaign where there are reputable members in the community who lead successful projects.

In my own opinion, I believe whoever that hired you to do the job must have trusted so much in your skills. For me, forum rank is just a mere word and it shouldn't make you feel you can't. If you know how to do your job perfectly and those working under you are happy, they will easily recommend you and  your rank will increase. There are some legendary members who are worst! In handling bounties.

I don't why most new member whom just started out as bounty campaign manager have low self esteem and think they can't make a good campaign manager. In this forum, popular campaign managers started out little as newbies too. So far the skill is there with adequate effectiveness then ranking won't be a problem. You should quit having inferiority complex and step up on your game.

If somebody who's position was just a newbie wanted to be a bounty manager, well, all that I can just say is maybe you're not the person they're looking for, though you are having a good job in the reality but in such whereabouts just as this, they might accept someone who has more experience just like some senior member or maybe they're what so called "copper member".

Being in such position takes a lot of experience and worth, so the person that must be included in such issue must have the same worth and experience that will be right for the demand.

You can add some reward staff telegram groups. I believe there should be a similar reward manager cooperation channel. Of course, it needs to be guided by familiar people.
