Title: Getting paid in crypto Post by: drogas on April 05, 2018, 10:06:20 AM Would you be fine with, or prefer, getting paid in crypto?
Why / why not? Does the amount you get paid for matter for you? Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: Aleshia696 on April 07, 2018, 01:38:14 PM Well it depends. I wouldn’t like to get paid from my office in Crypto. But if I’m doing anything freelance or contract based, I would prefer Crypto. As we use a portion of salary for day to day needs, fiat is still very much important for that. Though I think future will be different.
Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: pawanjain on April 07, 2018, 01:54:18 PM Well it actually depends on an individual because not everyone have the same interests. The people who are interested in cryptocurrencies would definitely want to get paid in it. I would definitely like to get paid in crypto because of its volatile nature. I would exchange the crypto for my preferred ones and then earn more profit out of the interest. There are equal amount of advantages and disadvantages while earning in crypto but I would be optimistic about it and consider to take the risk.
Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: Musstang on April 07, 2018, 02:02:03 PM Would you be fine with, or prefer, getting paid in crypto? It would be cool to receive a salary in the crypto currency. It would be possible to hold and wait for the appreciation, thus earning extra. Why / why not? Does the amount you get paid for matter for you? Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: silver23 on April 07, 2018, 02:07:13 PM Yeah sure why not ???
I can get $2k every month. And maybe can take more that it. So, why you dont try that. Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: batang_bitcoin on April 07, 2018, 02:09:36 PM In almost every transaction that we do cryptos now can be one of the best payment choice. I'm totally fine if my boss will pay my paycheck to bitcoin so it really doesn't matter to me and its not a problem. What going to be a problem if there would be no payment.
Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: alexford on April 07, 2018, 02:10:30 PM If I do work in crypto, you would expect to earn crypto. But if you work like in the office, you won't think crypto is good. Why ? We have a daily needs, if the world working with crypto, example, if you buy burger in fastfood like mcdo, if the currency they need is crypto. Why you would willing to paid in your work by not crypto. It depends on the situation. Crypto is good but you don't know when the value going up or down.
Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: sunX3 on April 07, 2018, 02:13:03 PM Depends on the time put in/amount received.
For quick gigs and freelance stuff, sure crypto is fine. But for the main salary, I still like fiat. ;) Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: Docbee on April 07, 2018, 02:13:27 PM I think you are trying to say crypto payment adoption where by workers will be paid using crypto. If that is ur question. A crypo person will agrer to it someone that understand what cryotocurrency is won't be afraid to be paid with crypto.
Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: Wyne on April 07, 2018, 02:14:49 PM Would you be fine with, or prefer, getting paid in crypto? Definitely yes, and actually, it is better for me if the payment is in form of crypto. Why simply because when the payment is in form of crypto it automatically means that its value is not constant and has the tendency to increase its value. I am also informed and aware that it also has the tendency to decrease its value but as a true believer of bitcoin, as long as I can hold my cryptos and treat it as a good form of long time investment. I keep it because the current value of crypto does not matter to me because what matter most is the value of crypto in the future. So, I always considered that its value will increase. Why / why not? Does the amount you get paid for matter for you? Everybody works hard to be able to earn money so, price always matter . Currently, I am satisfied with what I have earned from joining bounty/signature campaigns weather I earn tokens or bitcoins. Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: warrior333 on April 07, 2018, 02:15:11 PM Every person has a minimum that he spends every month. You can not get a salary in cryptocurrency. Those who hold coins for a long period of time have additional sources of funding. But we need basic income every day. Are you ready to get paid in cryptocurrency based on December prices? The use of cryptocurrencies is our own risk and the main income should be in Fiat.
Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: bakujo0817 on April 07, 2018, 02:15:31 PM Would you be fine with, or prefer, getting paid in crypto? for my online transaction i prepare for crypto as a payment but for my job i most prepare fiat money to pay me because accepting crypto as my salary is kind a hussle for me to convert crypto to fiat and when i cash out crypto there a fee.Why / why not? Does the amount you get paid for matter for you? Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: chocolaty on April 07, 2018, 02:18:34 PM Personally, I don't want to be paid with any type of cryptocurrencies. For others, it may be an investment but I know how unstable the crypto market is and I do not want to risk my hard work and effort to something unsure. However, in this forum, that is how stuffs work and I have no option but to deal with it wisely. How? Join ICOs that have great potentials. That will lessen the risk.
Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: VenturaBro on April 07, 2018, 02:19:31 PM Depends on the time put in/amount received. For quick gigs and freelance stuff, sure crypto is fine. But for the main salary, I still like fiat. ;) Same and the small amount of crypto from gigs adds up in my experience and you can hodl them for some pretty good profit in the future. Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: Phil419She on April 07, 2018, 02:19:51 PM Would you be fine with, or prefer, getting paid in crypto? Why / why not? Does the amount you get paid for matter for you? Well what we're doing here participating in bounties is really a proof that I prefer being paid in crypto, but maybe just as sideline income. It will be too hard if you get paid in day job by crypto though, because your salary will be changeable. Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: TashBLIL on April 07, 2018, 02:23:16 PM I think things will be better when we get more projects like Zeex, where you can buy things from mainstream retailers using crypto, that way we won't need to convert to fiat to buy everyday items – like shopping/coffee/etc – and absorb the fees that go along with the conversion from crypto to fiat.
Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: macchiato on April 07, 2018, 02:24:23 PM Depends. In my physical job, ofcourse I would not prefer getting paid with cryptos. But in signature and translation campaigns, cryptos are the only choice. Anyway, that is okay because it can expand my portfolio and I can hold several tokens - an instant investment paid through services.
Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: deadthings on April 07, 2018, 02:28:02 PM I would like to earn a crypto, it would be a risky job, but I would like to try. I could devote all my time which would allow me to gain more knowledge. Thanks to that I would be better and better
Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: klimenok1991 on April 07, 2018, 02:28:30 PM I would be happy to receive money at work in cryptocurrency. I think it will be soon. Over time, ordinary money will not, they will be replaced by cryptocurrencies.
Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: KenChanYu on April 07, 2018, 02:33:03 PM Well it actually depends on an individual because not everyone have the same interests. Yes, Everybody doesn't have the same interest why they work in crypto world. Other people just wanted to help others for them to learn about things that might be for our future. But they also dream to gain even just a small amount of money for them to use it everyday. I know you too wanted to gain or to be paid here in crypto. Earning here in crypto world is really that great for everyone because it can help to their financials. But to remind everyone also that earning in crypto has a disadvantages and advantages thats why taking risk is not bad, for me it will help.Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: LeroyBro on April 07, 2018, 02:39:06 PM One thing worth mentioning is that if you pay more people in crypto, you're basically creating more demand and that's a great thing.
Think about it, if you pay someone in crypto, you're basically giving them an incentive to get involved in the crypto world. And now think about how many people are being paid in crypto, it'll spread like wildfire Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: Crypto-capitalist on April 07, 2018, 02:40:08 PM Every person has a minimum that he spends every month. Agree with you.Crypto good tool for make a international payment or payment for big contract. Not in P2P sector. Does the amount you get paid for matter for you? Like my salary for example, It's very nice to get paid with crypto as well as it is the same equivalent price in that particular date and the amount value of my salary, anyway it is not taxable and it can be use as investment, rather than to be paid by fiat money it is compulsory tax deduction in my country. Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: Nginende on April 08, 2018, 08:37:17 AM Right now, let's say that I'm working for a crypto currency and think about such a question, store it in tokens or sell / exchange them.
Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: caisa88 on April 08, 2018, 02:09:05 PM Yes, i would prefer to be paid in crypto for my work because it would be also like an investment at the same time, which i know that will have a nice growth in the future.
Aslo, of course when i need some fiat i can always exchange the crypto thay i've earned really easy. Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: iAMawi123 on April 08, 2018, 02:54:14 PM Getting paid in crypto? Why not? I think if we start implementing this kind of method maybe others will try to do the same. It is also a kind of way to endorse to people what is cryptocurrency. Maybe some people won't like the volatility of the cryptocurrency but once the coins start going up, I think they won't be mad and thus, making extra money in return. But I think this is not enough to replace our current fiat.
Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: inyakizuryel on April 08, 2018, 02:57:23 PM Would you be fine with, or prefer, getting paid in crypto? Right now, if I will be paid in crypto of all of what I am doing in my life, I will accept it because as we all know we are very aware that cryptocurrency is very huge in the market right now and I think as time goes by the value of cryptos will increase more and more and I heard many stories that they are being paid in crypto and after several months or years they are now a successful human being. Why / why not? Does the amount you get paid for matter for you? Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: Tactical Genius on April 08, 2018, 02:58:57 PM Well,i wont want to get paid in crypto until there is some proven price stability.Nowadays you wake up to a short bull run and a very long bear run which of course will always decrease the value of your earnings if you are to be paid in cryptos.Say in USDT,i will be fine because that is quite stable to some extent but bitcoin and other coins i wont want to be paid in for now.

Maybe some people won't like the volatility of the cryptocurrency but once the coins start going up, I think they won't be mad and thus, making extra money in return. But I think this is not enough to replace our current fiat. What you said is important. We can agree to receive additional income in bitcoins. But if I was offered to receive the basic salary in bitcoins, I would refuse. It's very risky. I agree with you that the price always returns to the previous level. But how can I live up to this moment. Sometimes it takes 1-1.5 years for bitcoin to return to the previous price level.Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: btccrusher on April 08, 2018, 03:01:24 PM YES, I'll be happy to get paid in crypto, especially in Bitcoin. While the market is highly volatile, I believe in BTC will be more than worth after years. I convert BTC into cash how much exactly I need and the rest is my savings and investment at the same time. It has a good part, I can't save when I get hard cash in pocket, so it's better to save something even in crypto.
Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: acheampong64 on April 12, 2018, 05:11:43 AM hahaha..that would be very cool though. Anyways this discussion has so many sides that it can be tackled from. First of all if I opt for a pay in crypto at the office, there's a higher possibility that everyone at the office would have to be paid so and this is the case that many people do not believe in crypto especially currently that the market is very very bad. Also the owner of the company i work (if it's a private job) at might not even himself/herself like crypto.
Also in the other way, remember that nothing is ever static in crypto so if your payment is in crypto it can either go up very high or you can loose all your salary. In addition, what would happen if the market price goes down, should your employer scale up your pay or it should remain as signed in the contract agreement. Salary is a long term thing and if your employer is to pay in Crypto then they would have to always change your salary which might be inconvenient. So the fact is it would have been very awesome to get paid in crypto but there are a lot of constraints that would impede the smooth running of such an initiative. I would rather prefer to be paid in crypto in a one time contract job or freelance job Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: bittraffic on April 12, 2018, 07:35:24 AM There's not much employers who will pay in crypto though. I still visit the job sites I use to go like upwork and most of the employers related to crypto or bitcoin are there but are not paying in BTc but USD. You can find some employers paying in BTC in xbtfreelancer.com but most of they pay cheap. Almost non are worth the work. You'd rather be accepting USD if you are a freelencer and work on upwork alone. There is one place though that you can work for someone and pays good in BTC, its here in bitcointalk. :) Title: Re: Getting paid in crypto Post by: JanuaryStars on April 12, 2018, 07:40:05 AM Am not really against nor advise to getting paid with crypto in my office job.
Salary received from the office would be best in fiat so can be used for daily transactions or payments. ACryptocurrency is still not accepted as mode of payment in our country, though there may be a few that do but not in our region. So I prefer getting paid with fiat for it, while prefer crypto payments for bounty campaigns. |
