Title: Will Blockchain also bring salvation to photographers??
Post by: KUMAR6 on April 06, 2018, 11:56:23 AM
For musicians, there are platforms, such as eMusic and JAAK though for photographers, there aren’t a lot of ways which able making money from selling their work. There are few platforms trying to reach out for help,Wemark is still in its infancy and there are photochain and some more. But even when artists attract a significant attention from many buyers on those, they rewarded with only small portion from the sale. In order to create income from selling photos, it’s not enough to increase awareness towards artists, a significant change in the balance of power is necessary.

It is a good idea to exchange items through the blockchain platform, but only if the item you sell fits the block chain.

We have so many sectors of professions that the professionals in that field are benefiting from blockchain technology especially programmers and developers. You can acquire knowledge in blockchain oriented career in order to benefit from the trend of this technology.

I believe that the crypto-currencies are not yet able to provide such services reasonably well and conveniently

I think there is a strong possibility that all types of freelance workers will benefit from new blockchain technologies. Imagine a decentralized ebay with practically no fees. I think there are already some altcoins trying to make up social networks for musicians based on their crypto. I don't think the technology is quite here yet that I can say for sure any of those alts will be successful or really change the world. However, it feels like that opportunity is right at the horizon and we will see its beginning soon.

That sounds good. Surely there are altcoyins who plan to do it. This is even probably the near future. But again, the question is: is the world ready for this?

This requires the emergence of social gathering benefits, not only by the promotion of one or two projects, but also the strength generated is too small.

Interesting idea. But, probably crypto currencies won't be able to provide such services. But, I'm hopeful for future.

From what I can remember BELA was targeting photographers but I havent
been keeping up to date on that. Is the question targeted at disrupting
Shutterstocks model? if so I cannot see why not. No need for a third party
to be involved when there is blockchain and crypto.

In terms of photographers, artists, etc. blockchain solves the problem of assigning someone else's intellectual property, allows you to make the signature of your composition, picture or other work and put this information in a distributed registry (blockchain) and leave it there forever, thereby guaranteeing you the rights of the owner of this content. The very fact of this will help you to make a profit greater than before, but blockchain is not a panacea and it is not created to enrich you, but only to protect you and facilitate your life. Yes, I read about the Photochain project, I liked his idea, I'm sure we will see many more similar projects. But blockchain is not limited only to the field of intellectual property protection, it actually has a very wide scope and in the near future without this technology will not work any sphere of human life.

I honestly think that Blockchain was designed among other things to address the distribution of intellectual property revenues and loyalties. So IMHO using it for photographers to upload their work to a market place fits like a glove. Just stumbled upon Wemark (Wemark.com (http://Wemark.com)) these guys are making decentralized market place for photos and by using the blockchain they are going to cut down the stock photo publishers part from 85% of each sold photo to only 15%......that is WACK!
