Always assume that someone is out to screw you. Just want to point out both sides to how the scam can work. Sadly this was how I jumped back into crypto. Paid for BTC via paypal (my saving grace was that I used a credit card) They did not send the BTC and I realized I had been scammed. Paypal then told me I wasn't covered under buyer protection despite using "goods and services" for buying digital currency( might not have been the wording this was almost a year ago) My credit card company did refund me, and I'm sure the scammers were never found. When users say they have something like $500 in BTC, I avoid dealing with them. USD doesn't fluctuate against BTC prices, so why would it surprise you for a user to have a "weird" dollar amount in BTC? You must not have a lot of experience exchanging bitcoin... |
