Title: Your Actions About Unvaluable Tokens On Your Wallet
Post by: grknondr on April 06, 2018, 10:51:06 PM
I am new in cryptocurrency world and I try to learn by the ideas or actions of other members of the forum. Like every newbie, I participated in airdrops. And now there are between 20-25 tokens in my wallet. They are either not able to be traded or not worthwhile selling. I am sure everybody on this forum has many tokens. What are your actions about your tokens that fit my description? Do you wait to see them get increase in value? Or any other actions like doing nothing? Have you ever encountered that a useless token got increased in value and you earned from it?

Yes I agree with you
There are tokens worth just gas fee
And there are tokens valueless in exchange
But I think the best way is to leave it in your wallet
Or have it sent to a friend who has more so it’s more convenient to dump

You should just be careful in filling airdrop forms
So you don’t have to waste time on most forms resulting in useless tokens

I try to sell all the coins received on the airdrop. I wait for an acceptable price and sell, and put the money in reliable coins with good prospects.

The best way to stop your wallet being congested with useless token is to designate a different address for your storing use and the original for claiming airdrops. My airdrop wallet has over 100 useless tokens and every token with value are either transferred to an exchange or my holding wallet.

Nothing can do. No other option than keeping them in the wallet as usually the transaction fee is higher than the tokens value.
I also have some worthless coins and there is no hope of rising prices. Because they are not listed in exchanges.

That depends on the developer itself, but i guess you can try to see the latest order through put the smartcontract in the etherdelta URL. Because that doesn't need official announcement from the developer of the exchange site itself to trade your token. But the demand will be random. If you are not seeing a lot of order and you should forget your token.

Are they disturbing you? Just forget about them. Now we are watching really unfavorable period of crypto market, but maybe just couple of month or even weeks and your tokens’ price will fly to the highest value.

Participating with these free airdrops wont give you much income, though there are some airdrops that can give you some good amounts after holding for few months, last experienced with airdrops has given me $300 in a single participation and most of these airdrop tokens are worthless! you can barely see one good airdrop from these hundreds of shit airdrops. If you are into something to get some profits you should try bounty hunting instead because it can give you a lot of profits better than airdrops, you will just need to finish the required task weekly and after the ICO you will get your rewards that might be sold for bitcoin or ethereum or whatever coins you preferred to,hence dont waste your time with airdrops ;D.

I was participating airdrops once. It is like searching a needle in a haystack so I have stopped it. :)

The very small COINS I got in the airdrop were chosen to hold!

Join their group, view the next drop, and wait for the number of COINS to be traded!

If the value is too small to be worth the fair is kept in the wallet.

If you got tokens for free, you might as well hold them and not sell them until they reach a substantial amount.

This is my first, and only advice; don't participate in airdrops, they all are crap annd you wont get anything from them, maybe you can make $1 or $2 from some of them.

Just sell them, or leave your wallet and use another. it is disgusting to see more than 20 tokens in a wallet in where they have no value at all.

Try to sell soon is good but it will dump the price to low because most you will dump it soon when it enter the market.
And i also notice, holdinv is the only action that you need since most of the airdrop token has no value so just holding till it has value

You don't have many choices, I think even the transaction fee would be higher than most of this worthless tokens. My advice is that you start using another wallet for bounty hunting and your real investments, and keep your first wallet with its tokens, check it once weekly or monthly to see if some of its tokens get a bit of value, then sell them immediately.

Well, you just have to leave them in there without touching them funnily occasionally I come to realize some have been listed on exchanges and have had some value then I just sell them off.In any case, everyone wants to see liquid tokens in his or her wallets and not valueless ones.

I have many coins too, not just from airdrops, some I bought and price dropped instead to grow like I hoped. Now I wait, and I think it's the beat thing we can do. Continue to use same wallet, cause there will be many other airdrops, you will participate in new bounties, use that wallet, make a new wallet for coins or tokens you plan to hold for long time, that's how you will have one special wallet that no one will know about, but that old one continue to use for everything, even if it gets compromised you will not lose anything.
I have couple wallets, that is normal in crypto world, one you use for all sort of things and not totally safe actions, other is where you keep valuable coins, that one you keep safe and you don't give that address to anyone.

Give a check sometimes on DEX like Forkdelta or Etherdelta (Forkdelta has more orders) if you are speaking of ERC20 tokens. If you don't find the symbol on Forkdelta don't worry:
Go to etherscan and copy your wallet, click on token balances and click on the token you want to check. It will open a new page, copy the address you see in "ERC20 Contract" and check the token symbol and decimals.
Go to forkdelta and open the drop-down token menu, go down to everything and click on Other.
There you have to paste the ERC20 Contract you copied before, write the token symbol and the token decimals.

Wait for a while to load and you will be able to see all the orders for that token and make a quick calculation of how much you can earn.

I hope I have been helpful, good airdrops everyone  :D

I advise you to use the Deltabalances to monitor the cost of coins from airdrops.

Well, just keep it on your wallet, as a simple remembrance, but there are some coins today that unvaluable but for the next coming months you've noticed that their price developed slowly, and who knows that for the next coming months your unvaluable coins become valuable, because sometimes there are coins from the start that has a cheap value but several days moving on, the market price change and grow, so think positive always on what you have coin now even if it's non valuable. Just hold it, maybe soon their price grow and become valuable.

You can keep it in your wallet for a long time, Some coins are Valueless. It will depends on developer on how they can manage it. If you join alot of airdrop better work for bounties it's most profitable but you need to be patience for that thing.

Yes a lot of token right jow are totally shitcoin and I have also lot of shitcoin and I just keep it all shitcoins in one wallet. I create new wallet for all shitcoin just to separte from my valuable token. It realy hard to see your valuable token if they are in just one wallet so i decided to have shitcoin wallet.

I just let it sleep on my Wallet than trading it to only a  gas fee price hoping one day it will hit a price. Nothing to do really with unvaluable token just hope that the team wont abandon the project so it can still have a potential rise on the future. Hold for 1 year is not really long if you dont have nothing to do with it.

I just let my token stay in the wallet.
Because if I send it, it will take a lot of GAS. I let the unnecessary tokens become history. So, if someday I quit from Crypto, I can still see that worthless tokens.  ::)

I have some kind of tokens in my wallet that no have value like you. And yet I didn't do anything on those tokens. If those tokens have a value from nothing, maybe I would think to sell them to make profit. So far, I didn't encountered any token got value from nothing.

for me i will leave them on our wallet, just keep on holding on. no good time will come that there will be a value for that token. for example you got token that has no value yet and then you trow it away, coins will died now not same as you keep them on you wallet even there has no value yet but there are still alive. it has a chance to have value in the future.

My actions for those tokens is nothing. I can't sell them. So I will leave them in my wallet. But if the near future, those tokens have value, I would be thankful because from nothing to profitable. And any case, no value tokens at your wallet won't harm you or do anything to you. So its better to leave as is.

Since you are not going to lose anything by keeping undervalued coins in your wallet so better to keep it & forget about it, even if they are tradable on an exchange, in beginning the price will be nothing so better to have patience & wait for the coins to gain in value, if the coin is not tradable or you think it is worthless for those coins make separate wallet because I know it is unpleasant to see worthless coins with good coins in the same wallet.

Leave it be. Do nothing to tokens even they dont have price value now. It wont charge you by keeping their to your wallet. Right? So remain as is. Dont bother yourself to get rid of those tokens. Be more active btt to gather more tokens. We dont know when time comes, your non valuable token will indemand. :)

So i just left it.

I don't do airdrops but in I get some free tokens in trading sites. I don't trade them even though they're already in exchange site I only wait till it increases its value, of course there is no insurance that the token will increase its value but that is the only way to get a decent profit, I mean how much you can get from its current price right? So there is a simple rule for me "Go big or take nothing" because if we're talking about a low valued altcoin then you have nothing to lose if you hope for it to go higher.

It sucks to have valueless coins in one's wallet,  I do have few of the tokens I got as a reward from bounty, I'm not liking have them in my wallet but I'm optimist they will pump in price anytime soon

Possible solution for topic starter issue is start using special wallet for airdrops. In case received tokens have a value, they could be transfered on the main wallet.

Do nothing, I mean when you join airdrop you already know the risk that you will got nothing. I mean real 'nothing' I was joining airdrop too, most of the coin are not entering any exchange or when it come up on exchange I only got approximately $5-10. The only way to earn through airdrop is with account clone, but this is obviously break the ethic and of course the rule.

I would suggest you to join bounty campaign instead of airdrop to get totally free earning.

There is not  lot you can do about it . Most of the airdrops are just a waste . Those tokens just sit in your wallets for a long time or i can say forever and never even takes any value . I have many such coins which are lying in my wallet and two of them have already been dumped . Most of the airdrops are for distributing their tokens which are not worth investing on and are a waste for the development team too . They might get some value but all this does not happen very soon !

for me all tokens in my wallet are very valuable because they have value even though the value is very small but valuable to me but for now I just hold it for tokens that have low value and I will wait and be patient on the token in the wallet to possess good marks.

Just forget your airdrop tokens because most of them don't have any value, maybe you can let the stay in your wallet and maybe wait for surprised, but I'm sorry, that's only give your a few bucks profit, so just move and invest your real money to earn real profit while market price uptrend

I will usually leave the coins in my wallet. Since there is no value, there is no point to spend gas to move the coins. Just hold on to the coins and sell when there is value in the future.

You need to monitor the development of projects from which you received unrated tokens.  Some projects are dead at the very beginning of their journey and their tokens can simply be deleted. Also many invaluable tokens are traded on unpopular exchanges. I also try to keep invaluable tokens of promising, in my opinion, projects in the purse before their official listing.

There seems to be no way to deal with it, it's a worthless token just let it go, just be a memory bro :D, it's the same thing I experienced bro, I got a few tokens in the wallet from airdrop, and there is no price in any exchange or bourse, but the small number of tokens if you want to sell is not profitable, instead you lose because you have to cover the cost of gas too, I think the airdrop will not give you a big profit, unless you follow the bounty and airdrop for the same token

I didn't do anything against the token does not have that value. I just leave it in your wallet. most of this token comes from the airdrop and some of the bounty.

I don't give any of my valuable time to those tokens as they are worthless to me if they aren't traded anywhere so I just let them kept inside my wallet as it isn't hurting me or making me to pay larger fees, so what's the problem in keeping a few extra tokens in your wallet if those tokens increases in price then you can also sell those tokens. So it's a win win situation for me and that's the same you should also think instead of getting frustrated on the people who sent those tokens.

Such situations are not rare. Very often we see an increase in the cost of shittokens, which do not lend themselves to any logical explanation. I think this is manipulation ... Although the value of coins of steep projects often increases very much. For  example of Ethereum ..
