Hello guys, it is unfortunate that many people fail to achieve and succeed their project ( like, ICO ...) , and  many stop in the first attempts  ( especially when there is a big failure) and become disappointed.

According to my experience, I want to give some steps to succeed any project, they will be as the following:

Step 1 : Focus on your goal ( project) because your energy will go to him:
Focus on what you want, not about what you do not want, and  when you say to yourself that you will make a  successful project (  there become a  positive energy (+) inside you), then your focus will follow your  thinking.

Step 2 : You must have a futuristic vision for what you want:
The futuristic vision pulls you to your project, and helps you in achieving the best , also when there is no vision , there is no hope to succeed.

Step 3 : Choose the right map ( strategy, plan)  and the appropriate teacher :
The map may change in each situation but with that  you should search for a  teacher who have a good knowledge on the field of your project because he/she can  help you to take a shortcut way to achieve  your goal.

Step 4: Overcome the  fear of failure and the internal conflicts:
One of the biggest obstacles  which leads to  project failure is the psychological problems.
 
And fear is one of the most widespread problems in many people ( fear of what will happen in the future, like that , Will my project fail? , Will I lose a lot of money? ..) and to overcome this issue, you must resolve the internal conflicts,
Firstly, you must know the internal conflicts that exist in youself (  like,  your focus on negative thoughts  )
Secondly, you must organize your life by choosing the most important things or goals for you, which helps you to  achieve your dream ( project).
Thirdly, get starded.

I think the first thing to bear in mind when setting up an ICO is to try solving a problem through blockchain technology. Though what you listed above its somehow right but its bitter to state that a very high percentage of ICOs developers are into creating ICOs because of their selfish interests. They don't really care about solving a problem or anything like that, they just want to make money out of it.

I think the most important point is solving a real problem.
Your project should solve a real problem facing the community to find a sufficient turnout for success.
Also, your main concern must be to help others and make a new idea rather than a profit.

Absolutely yes, there is an information that says, for the success of any project, it must be through 20% of individual skills, behaviours, strategies, plans.. and 80% through a psychological way (internal conflicts), I see that some people who want their project to succeed, have a psychological problem, that's why they fail to achieve their goals, and the big widespread issue with many of them is the negative thoughts like that " It is difficult to achieve my goal " ," I cannot solve these  problems " and other . The mind does not differentiate between negative and positive thoughts, it achieves messages, orders or ideas  which you send to him. So if you want your project to succeed, first  think positively.

First of all you should love your project and also your client, because when you love your work things fall in line accordingly to your purpose, second is set your purpose why you want to have project that will helps you to motivate to finish your work, next is set your priorities that include your responsibilities. Successful project is not get in overnight it will take time to have a successful and meaningful project.  And always pray for the improvement of the project.

I agree, but to me, the most difficult part is to build a great team. Many people seem interested in a project, but when they need to work they just disappear or get lazy. In my experience, to get a great time to work with is the most difficult stage of every project.
Of course, you can try to work alone, and then you will be able to implement anything you think you are going to need in order to succeed. But, the truth is we all need somebody to work with, either for developing something we want to or simply we will need to move forward our project.
So: build a great team. Take your time in choosing your partners.

Good points OP. It is important as well that you have a good marketing team and constant communication to them and the investors. Even if you have a great idea and project if you cannot relay it well to the people and cannot reach enough investors then there is still a high probability that your project will fail. In this forum alone, there are a lot of bounty hunters who are willing to promote the project but they become discourage when there is no proper bounty campaign manager who do not update the participants about the status of their shares or stakes.

When a manager and the developers as well reply to the investors and promoters of the project, it gives them a peace of mind that the project is doing well. Marketing should be continuous and well planned out even after the ICO so that you can attract more investors to the project. Being updated about what is happening behind the project is important as well to the investors so that they wouldn't pull out their investments. As you can observe, even the biggest companies who are already household names still make advertisements.

This is also what's on my mind. Without great team and great people you've been working with, a project can't be success alone.

First of all ICO is not a project. It's merely a method used to acquire necessary funding to do the actual project. It is frightening that most of developers focus on ICO as if it was the actual goal.

If you want if you want to have a satisfactory ico starts with around $10.000 (as minimum) only for marketing.

Most posting of this seems to consider ICO as a project, I think ICO as a part of a project but very important to go a project to be executed. Far before the project executed, it should be :
1. Issuing a good project idea and goal as project initiation
2. Creating the excellent concept including develop the roadmap
3. Build a strong project team including law team, technical team, marketing team, commercial team, and also prepare the sufficient resources.
4. Generate appropriate strategy covering project description in whitepaper, ICO strategy including how long the ICO duration, whether needed or not needed pre-sale, etc. Then how is the strategy to keep the price in right track, ICO price should be lower than after ICO price (or price when the project has been listed in exchange).
5. Keep and maintain the team to reach each point in the roadmap, how the countermeasure if the roadmap can't be achieved in timely manner, etc. While keep the roadmap as designed, it should be concerned for marketing the product to token/coin users for maintaining the demand hence the price can be maintained excellently.

Those are some additional things to be considered to make a successful project.
   

And in addition to these you have listed, the following  few steps  will greatly enhance the chances of a successful projects.

1.Select the Right Person for the Job.
Typically, when a project is kicking off the goal is to find the right resources for the tasks at hand. Equally important is finding the right Project Manager. One who has enough experience and training to successfully manage the project and not just the person who happens to be available in the moment. The right Project Manager is the one whose skill set matches the project requirements

2..Clearly Define Project Scope
Before any other work is started on the project spend time defining the scope. If a different team defined the project then be sure to re-examine the scope and include specific tasks, critical deadlines and the end goal. This allows the Project Manager to fight against scope creep or unrealistic deadlines, which are is definitely project killers. Clearly defined scope helps keep everyone on track and heading for the same schedule and end goal.
Scope, Schedule and Budget are well known touchstones for keeping a project on track. These extra steps will make the Project Manager’s job easier in the long run and help him to manage all pieces of the project through to a successful, on-time, on-budget project completion.

3.Schedule Regular Meetings.
Many effective Project Teams hold short daily meetings. It’s not enough to send occasional emails or wait to communicate when there’s an issue. Communication is critical to project success and maintaining the flow of a project. Find a time that is good for all team members. Schedule a daily stand-up meeting or a weekly update meeting and insist that everyone attend either in person or virtually. This will ensure that everyone is on the same page, not assuming that an important piece of information has flowed to everyone, and help catch issues before they become large problems.

The tips that you've just mentioned on the OP it might be useful but having a great and solid team is the most important here. For me, there's no successful project without a good team since they determine how your project develop. Another factor is promotion, a good project without big promotion it can't be successful. The more you spread your project then more chance your project will be successful.

A few things that should be added here are making sure that you have a reliable team, and maybe above all things - BE TRANSPARENT.

The crypto world is one full of scams. Transparency goes a long way in building trust among your followers.

There is one harsh reality that everyone has to accept, and the reality is that no matter how good your project is, if you cannot do the marketing right, it is going to fail sooner or later. There have been multiple ICOs where the marketing was the key aspect which lead to their failure. So, the point where you mentioned the strategy really needs to be dealt with a lot of patience and analysis.
With that being said, not everyone can bring in good projects. Even if you feel your projects are good, they might not sound good enough to the audience. So, luck also plays a major role in this.

Honestly, it is not that easy to overcome fear because it is what makes the human. The fear of failure is always implemented within the human's mind. Added to that, it is impossible to get rid of fear, but you can reduce it because fear has certain levels. By experience, fear will be reduced to become a routine of life. For example, you have never got 5 out of 20 in an exam. You are afraid of getting below 10. If you got 5, you would be afraid of your parents' behavior. But if you got it again, you would get used to it.

Good points you have made OP. But yet, it's hard to know a good ICOs from the bad ones because nowadays,  they look similar. Many cryptocurrency enthusiasts really wish to invest in cryptocurrency but most fraudsters ICOs developers are not making it easy for them. In fact, it might interest you to know that many people have quit cryptocurrency because of being scammed many times.   

Every project need a fund so add stable source of fund, it is to make sure the future of the project, it unseen expenses during emergency cases, expansion or extention of its branch, and a major company that will endorse your project, if you want it to become solid and to prove your project is real and will not just phewssss--- (gone)

As for me the most important point is overcoming  a serious  problem. The project has to  solve a real problem to face the community to understand  a kind of coming soon for success. And then  our  main concern must  help others and prefer  creating  a new idea to a profit,  all projects will run successfully  if we do it  on based the rules.

3. Innovative and useful. This is the most important of all. The project should be helpful to anyone and not only seasonal. It should be useful also even from future times.

We have good strategy and planning to do the project successfully

Step 2 Smart Planning
Good planning not only keeps the project team focused and on track, but also keeps stakeholders aware of project progress..

If a problem arises on one part of a project, it can negatively impact other parts as well. Communication is the best way to prevent problems from occurring.

2. Expected funding, return on capital and profit.

Many cryptocurrency investors have left cryptocurrency because they have been scammed through fake ICOs numerous times and its so unfortunate and frustrating because we need more people to invest in cryptocurrency not to withdraw out of it. Yes sir. They have traumatic experience wherein they have invested so much and then the get scammed in return. It is indeed frustrating to think because you have saved that money to invest then they will fool you. These fake projects are the real reason (besides the population of investors) why the price drops drastically.

The problem today with the projects is, that the most people do not have any patience. If you are someone who have experience, and you want to create a project, you need a lot of time for the creating and the planning. So even in the planning phase, you have to do a lot of work what you want to do and whats the danger of fails your project could run in it. You also need some plans what you can do when something fails. But the most people dont do this. They just start and want to make money really fast.

I think if we want to make the project successfully we have to need a good partner and we often do not realize is that the journey to success in the land of project sometimes  can be tough, ruthless and very challenging so we must choose a partner to start a project  must be carefully beside that to increase our chance of survival and success, it often needs a great idea to find a good person to do the project. I have replied but seems there are some additional to be considered to reach project successfully, simply just to follow PMBOK which can be a general guidance to manage a project. Usually there is a certification for this matter, but just to participate in training also available.

I think you have absolutely centred the point. Too many times a lack of focus, vision and positive thoughts can be extremely detrimental for a project and its execution. Especially in our current fast paced business environment, as you said, the fear of failure, often led by the unpredictability of the future, can represent one of the main antagonist in driving a project to its success.

I believe many times this obstacles arise from a lack of experience and self-confidence, which can be absolutely normal as we are human beings. Life is made of successes and failures, out of which we can always learn something.

So be positive, believe in your idea, in your project and in your team, this will hopefully bring you back positive outcomes ;).

To make a successful project, this should be done in two way:

1. Planning the project in specifically detailed, with reliable measure, with a setted time, having the objectives and especially the knowledge of utilization.
2. Doing the project. Be careful on choosing or appointing a person. Their skills and ability must be in accordance to the tasks given to them. Materials and other utilities must be keep in safe place especially the product of your work. Never trust a man having a selfish motive.

I totally agree with that. A project succeeds if it has a highly diligence and experience team of expertise,  that understands fully or knows the best strategy that is good for the project.

If your project is good but poor marketing and poor advertisement then if you just have good project and good team its not enough.

People need to know about your project!
You need to spread the words about your project!

By having a good team in a project I think it's enough, because with a good team they will definitely market and introduce their projects to many people or advertise their projects well, even I believe in a good team even though their projects are not so good but with a good team, their efforts to build a project get better I think it's possible.

Thank you for this post; I really need some motivations for my own project that will launch soon.

The one more point - simple,but important:
-believe and love what you do!

Probably nailed it! I just wanted to add a couple of things.
Based on what I have seen, a lot of "projects" are just ideas without any sorta research backing their hypothesis. Let me explain: someone has a great idea to create a new type of tire that is square instead of round. He is determined that his project is going to disrupt the tire industry and change the way people drive everyday.

This guy can follow the steps proposed above and will most likely fail anyways.
That's because he neglected to analyse his solution and determine if there is an actual need in the market that he would be bringing value to in order to solve the consumers problem.

So I would like to add that a successful project requires the team / owner identifies a problem in the market place that the project will address and thus bring value into the market place.

If the project fails to address a need in the market place, the end result will fail to provide value and will fail.
