According to a survey conducted by Shin R25, a Japanese online magazine with young people as its main readers, 14% of young Japanese between the ages of 20 and 25 own digital assets.
The survey was conducted from January to March this year. More than 25% of the respondents said that this was their first experience of investing, 92% said that they had invested in digital assets of their available funds. Interest in cryptocurrencies 37.4% of respondents explained that this is fashionable, and 19.9% drew attention to cryptocurrencies due to their popularity in the media.
As for the amounts invested, 34.5% of respondents invested less than 50,000 yen (about 470 dollars) in cryptocurrency, the amount of one million yen ($9360) and more could afford only 10.2% of respondents.
Most of those who participated in the survey admitted that they purchased cryptocurrency at the peak of prices in October-December 2017. And only 15% did so after a sharp fall in early 2018.
However, 47.1% said they intend to continue actively investing in digital assets and only 35.4% are not going to do it anymore.
Analyst in the field of Finance and cryptocurrency Joseph young (Joseph Young) was very surprised by the results of the survey and commented on it on Twitter:
"This is a very high level of trust. I was expecting that the result will be less than 10% even for Japan - a country that is a leader in this market."

That’s interesting.  I’m going to Japan in a couple months and curious to see how many places accept crypto and whether it’s just btc or any other crypto.  They seem to be a leader in the crypto space.

Crypto is mainstream in Japan, it's not strange to see those stats, Japan is an example for the rest of the world.

Japan is a crypto friendly country with a strong economy, as they develop further with this new technology the other countries will join in too. The youth all over the world are investing in bitcoin and altcoins, they know what will happen in the years to come. Buy and hodl!

also it makes a sense if this thing happens,because japanese is the first one who supported cryptocurrency other than else.
(of course i could say that because of their action,when chinese tried to ban bitcoin.they're trying to regulate it by approaching their local exchange)

I think because we all think that Satoshi Nakamoto is a Japanese peoples, and Bitcoin & blockchain can be the pride of Japan, so they have more crypto enthusiast than other country, That is easy to understand

That is how it should really be frankly, most people in most countries do some kind of investment, fund, shares, bonds, accounts... it is nothing but normal to have some short of attention to crypto.

Japan is a friendly country for encrypting money markets, so it is perfectly normal for people to invest.
As more and more people come in, it will make the encryption money market bigger and bigger.

If all countries start supporting this crypto then 50% or more young people will start investing in this for sure and this will even boost many new business and people will get job and many will become self employed if countries make it legalize or regulate it.

Well as expected since bitcoin is generally known and originated in japan. People living in japan are good people. They are exercising good attitude as what they have learn in their elementary education from the practice and guidance in their schooling system which differs from other school system. Thus japan accelerated in terms of innovations and that includes bitcoin. A digital currency. Actually bitcoin concept is like an investment in gold which increases its price as supply last. Simple but most operational digital currency investment. And this is good also to profit earnings for those who are investing.

Well btv is pretty popular in japan and these people are known to have interest in innovation so i don't think it's surprising even with japanese youth. They start early obviously. And its likely that this number would increase in a year or two.

Japan is known as a country that is capable to implement new technologies in lives of their citizens very quickly. But that number is surprisingly great! Yeah, they admitted they have entered the market at the peak, but they are still not afraid to invest. Authorities should look at Japan how to deal with crypto and take it as an example. I doubt that we can catch them, but you never know without trying  ;D.

It must be higher than 14%, In Japan, cryptocurrencies are very popular. This also means that adoption is still pretty low, and those investing in coins now are still lucky. It is still early.  :)

I think the volatility that the crypto markets has is what attracts young people as they are mostly interested in getting rich quick. And the price swings that crypto markets have cant be found in any other traditional markets.

Yes, in Japan, the cryptocurrency has a legal status and that is why Japanese ICO will have a ultra fast growth. I always invest in such ICO. Even Swiss projects are very promising.

The Japanese market is a market hard to penetrate, I believe that there is still a lot of progress to me made because Japanese minds could really do wonders with crypto, but sometimes disruption is not very welcome in some societies. There is still time to prove what the Japanese will think in general because adoption with the overall population is low.

Japan is one of the few countries, where plenty of people know about cryptocurrency and it is very popular there. It is not unusual that young Japanese are investing in cryptocurrency, as it is more profitable than any other sector. That's why they have been investing in it.

It is not surprising that young people would have been more interested in the emergence of new things, and when all people have digital assets, it means that the real digital world is coming.

It seems to me that if all the young people were to tell us in more detail about what this is and why it is needed, then the percentage of those interested would be more.

That is just a beggining, look that almost whole childrean that living in some technology developed countries use internet every day, i strongly believe that this percent will only grow.

Japan is very outstanding country in terms of modern technologies, so I am not surprised. I think this number will grow in the future.

It's nice to see that such a big quantity of young people from a single country have had the trust to invest in bitcoin. However those are just young persons between 20 and 25 years and I dont really think they asked all of people in Japan wih that age. So this means in thw whole Japan only around 3-10% use cryptocurries wich is still a pretty big number and I think it is one of the biggest we can see. I think Japan will be the first country to adopt bitcoin as a currency in shops since a lot of people are investing in cryptocurrencies and also Japan is the country where almost anything is created or adopted firstly.

Japan is one of the leading country who continue giving support over crypto currencies, so it is not a surprise that even their young ones shows interest over crypto investment. I can see time will come this country will start full adaptation of cryptos and can even use it as their normal currency.

That is a very good percentage. Japan is ahead of the most countries when it comes to technology. Their culture is specific and it likes technology. In my country, many young people know about crypto, but they don't participate in that percentage. And if they do they all do it for the money.

I read this somewhere and I guess its true and the way to go and Japan being one of the origin of Bitcoin. it's quite understandable that the young generation is investing in cryptocurrencies

Why then no one remembered the Comsa project? More than six months from him there is no news, it's very sad. They collected about 92 million dollars and almost a year there is no progress on the road map. :(

This seems like a high percentage. I think it can be contributed to both that the younger generation in general is more receptive to new technology and that Japan has a history of being more tech savvy than many other countries around the world. Regardless of the reasons, it’s nice to see that much interest even at these early stages of this new technology.

Japan is a friend country for crypto world. It would be great if other countries could follow the Japanese oriental wisdom

Considering that bitcoin was invented by a Japanese by the name of Satoshi Nakamoto, no doubt that most of the younger generation had more trust and loyalty where they opt to invest more on bitcoin as this had been potentially giving them sufficient profit with their investment. Not only that, the younger generation seem to have visioned more with bitcoin where they forsee that the current price will still increase and reach more further heights.

In this sense, I can trust and believe in Japanese investor and japanese technology. they are using the experience they have obtained in their research and over time the whole world will be seized.  ;D ;D ;D

I'm glad that people are interested in the world of crypto, but it seemed to me that in Japan this percentage should be much higher. I hope that every year more and more people will join the bitcoin community.

This is interesting and actually makes sense. Japan is the global leader in the market development of cryptocurrencies so it's not a surprise that the young generation is investing early. 14% is a remarkable number and this could definitely grow more in the future.

japan are great in accepting new technology and they adapting really quick, i think this is can be followed by other countries that are afraid or uninformed about cryptocurrencies.

Other country should be follow Japan, which legalized and regulated Bitcoin and others crypto. Cryptocurrency will make financial and economic of the people more better. Cryptocurrency is accepted in Japan. Japan has aimed to be known as the bitcoin capital in the world. Most of the stores in Japan either big or small accepts bitcoin as payment. So im not surprised that even youngsters are exposed to cryptocurrency and even their young income generating citizens use some of their money for investment

All people are moving into a new framework, into new projects and into the future, that's why the percentage of people who invest in new projects is growing.

Japan and south korea have always been in favor of technological advancements. It is only natural for them to test new technology and see what the advantages are. In contrast, a lot of european countries are technophobic and want to regulate or ban a lot of new technology, because they only see the risks. I guess that in the young generation a lot more people will use crypto in their normal life as a means of payment or storage of value, which can only be good.

no wonder about those startistics because Japan legalize bitcoin even lately i have been read the article that Japan currently can admitted as one of the country with the largest crypto users in the world so automatically crypto users will increasing too because has crypto asset not against the law and i think the statistics may to increase again especially for next year

I don't think we should be surprise about this figure, Japan is a technology incline country and I expect them to have better understand of Crypto than most countries. The only fear I have is that they are not investing into wrong projects, there are alot of projects now that seems to be a scam

It's a good sign that Japanese are investing cryptocurencies because they are known for having better technology advancement since the first world war.
for me it's better to invest on cryptocurrency because it's the future of our money and people are investing for their future so therefore investing on crypto will be a good sign that we have a better future and not only for trading purposes.

indeed, Japan is always been the leading country in term of inventing and adapting digital technologies so therefore when Bitcoin and crypto came in popularity it is not hard for Japanese to adapt and use crypto for their own advantage.
Japanese are very fond of involving latest technologies as it will qualifies them into the future of technology and while the world isn't adapting crypto, Japanese choose to adapt as early as possible.

Developed country like japan tend to really welcome to a new technology and they are trying to take advantage of such huge technology advancement, no wonder, their regulation regarding cryptocurrency also just seems good that it's not too restricting as I know.

Japan had been and always love to be pioneer in everything and they always keep their mind open for innovation and looking at the big picture. It's great to know that the young ones are more open to this because soon they'll be the one who lead the country. And fortunately here in our country, the young ones also are the one who are more knowledgeable and acquiated in cryptos.

Maybe someday soon that investment can pass conservative investment instruments.
One thing for sure we definitely need more real world usage cases.

I am more than impressed by this news, in fact I'm even shocked. That's an astonishing high rate, if you consider the complexity of dealing with cryptocurrencies right now. However, this also is giving us a view on the future. These rates and even more are likely to be the standard also in the West in the future. That's great!

The youn people believe in the blockchain and the technology behind it. Therefore I think that the amount of young people who invest in cryptocurrencies only will rise and that every time there will join new people, what a positive impact has on the total market cap.

Thought the number would have been higher but it's a start, at least. Hope it increases in the future.

It will be good for general adoption once the technology developed is being put to use and released across large companies without it necessarily being a selling point, imo that's the road to mass adoption.
