There are many possibilities dude. The crypto market is highly volatile. You never know what may happen here the very next minute. This $50k prediction seems to me quite unrealistic as of now, but can't say anything for you never know what happens till the year end!!

And yes that's right, there is nothing to worry about for the long term investors in this market because sooner or later they will gain a very handsome amount from  here. Moreover, long term investment is not an option with everyone of us here. Majority of people here are either day traders or short term investors and their state of mind right now is quite perplexed, that whether to hodl or sell!!

This is a another bitcoin bullish prediction and there are I guess 5 posts in this forum telling the public that bitcoin will go up to 50k$ by the end of this year. The possibility that it will happen is 50/50 since the movement of the market is very unpredictable and it is hard to tell whether it will go up in december and reach that amount or bitcoin will crash in value and will keep on dropping up to December.

Its hard to say anything about the prices of bitcoin. The article based on the Macfee assumptions says all the positive stuff about the bitcoin and think that it will rise in value due to its investor boom this year!

However I am not seeing any kind of boom here due to the fact that low prices has actually turned down all the good investors at the start of this year. Now we can predict that they will recover from the loss and might get interested again to invest more money into it. However, few of the things tells me that its all about the new investors and their decision on how much to trust this market now on wards. The old ones, thats me and other are already here and have poured whatever we could but that doesn't mean anything at all. So lets see whether we see the green lantern or red zone.

At the moment, it seems to me that it is impossible for the price to rise so quickly, on the other hand, we have already seen the price of 4000$ rose sharply to almost $20,000.

$50,000 is too much for this year, you might consider its price now and the ups and downs of the price. But that price might happen next 2 years but not now. So hopefully bitcoin's price will increase rapidly.

Bitcoin is not going to reach $ 50000 thus year. As per the performance of bitcoins this year, we may see that level by next year end.

It would take some seriously good news for it to hit $50,000 this year. Not to say it is impossible, according to the charts it is very much possible, but it's hard to imagine based on the current situation. I think it will hit and surpass $50k next year, but right now I'd say around $25k is more likely

Try to be realistic, the possibility does still exist but it would be better if the current price of bitcoin in stable condition. If I predict it will only reach a maximum of 20k, because the traders are still reluctant to return to the market so that trading volume is still spreading at altcoin.

most huge MC alts are icos and those caps are bullshit there is no investment or infastructure behind them to compare to btc.

I bought btc with 5900k. And I'm looking forward to it increasing day by day. The market is gradually stabilizing after consecutive days of decline. I have owned bitcoin at low prices. If that happens, the chance is for me to change my life and future with higher probability of yearly work. I hope the bitcoin value will reach 30k-50k this year.

Not impossible but i think it will not reach the $50000 this year. Last year before the year ends  the price of bitcoin rises to $20,000 but before that, same month as today the price of bitcoin is also same as today, $7000 . But I'm also hoping that it will reach $50,000

The possibility is is still there considering its volatality and the way it gains momentum when riding in one direction.I always said we should maintain a healthy portfolio and keep withdrawing partial profits and ride btc for long term for huge benefit.Still some people hold them for long term and reap awesome profits.

Its still far from 7k usd price of bitcoin now, but we cant say thats impossible since cryptocurrencies are highly volatile. If you believe it will reach 50k usd then you should invest or buy now while price is low, the lower the price the more you should buy and sell it when the price is already high.

im my prediction bitcoin will hit morethan the peak price last year about 20k$ but some bigwhales says that bitcoin will hit 50k$ this 2018 and i also hoping to that big pump to earn more bitcoin or money.

Well, whose to say as to whether this will surely happen or not? All we can do is speculate about it and hope that it really does happen. But other than that we can never really do anything to know exactly what will happen in the next months to come here in this industry. For all we know, all these things including bitcoins may die just like that in a blink of an eye or go to $50,000 or beyond. Just have to stick with what we believe in till the end of the year and wish that what we did now was the best thing to do.

I dont think so bitcoin can hit $50k this year 2018. If we try to spread good things the prices will soaring as soon as possible. For now, just be patience and read some historical topics about the forum. I know it tooks time to recover its value but it has a potential to grow.

I think it will go back to 20k levels and we will see a new all time high between 20-25k, after that some dumps.

Cant say more words since the markets especially on cryptocurrencies is facing large volatile moves right now. but everyone hopes the market will go bullish soon right? lets wait for this Q3 and Q4 this year. because market still go correction in this following months but go bull at the end of year.

I can't say this figure is impossible because bitcoin is unpredictable. But I personally believe that bitcoin will touch 18k/20k milestone by the end of this year. I think it's more logical & there is a big chance as well. Besides it's also possible that bitcoin price will remain under 12k.

I can not imagine how reach bitcoin 50$ k . crypto currency at this year lose own value. Many investor drive to others way because it is very risky. But future is fully uncertain.

Ahhh buddy, I wish it was this way. I think we will get back to $15K  by end of the year, but this is just pure speculation. We need more mass adoption, faster and safer. Otherwise not even $10K.

As if cryptomarket is a unstable market.so nothing  can say fixed about that.But considering the present situation,it can be seen that the price index may not be considered to be 50000 even after the end of the year.

I will say that there is less than 10%  probability of this happening now. This is because bitcoins has performed very bad this year and we are seeing it just revolving around $7000 mark.

Personally I'm done investing in bitcoin. I only use it as an index like the Dow Jones or the S&P 500 as an indicator of the overall market.  My focus is on existing and upcoming altcoins that will take over as the new dominant player by massively improving on the technology that bitcoin is lacking.

50K this year seems impossible. The market changes a lot and the btc may never reach that price, it may be replaced by another crypto that will become the market leader... No I am not agree with you bitcoin is the best currency and it is making high price now, we should not let the opportunity go wasted, of the price is low then it will not remain the same for long time so buy right now and hold for the long time to get better output from your bitcoin. we can invest in bitcoin with the hope that in future price is going to be very high, so I think now bitcoin has started to breath once again as investors are providing good amount of oxygen to bitcoin so bitcoin is increasing and it will increase very high once again, experts are saying same as 2017 price will be high in 2018 may be at the end it will be 50k dollar.

You will not find Billionaires here but future’s billionaires as here on the Bitcointalk forum you will get a lot of knowledge and expected suggestions and principals. About the market value of Bitcoin to hit 50 thousand dollar at the end of this year may possible and may not possible but nothing is impossible for Bitcoin. It hit 20k dollar already and will soon with the next jump it will hit 30k dollar and so on. Therefore it is possible for Bitcoin.

I am folowing bitcoin from last one year in augustpeople created thread about speculating bitcoin price reach 10000$ at the end of 2017  . there was lots of people said it may possible lots said its big joke it will not reach . then after we seen what happened previous big pump had solid reason consicutive forks BTG followed by segwit2x finally segit2x cancelled but the hype around bitcoin where increasing in media lots of fund came . Now its not the scenario there is not much hype more over only bad newses.

Bitcoim's price is very fluctuating, it can go up and down quickly and very high, but to reach $ 50000 it is impossible. if in my opinion, Bitcoin can reach the value of $ 20000 that alone is very good in this year.

with the new cryptos lunching i don't think it will reach the 10k , new coins with better guarantees and bounty programs the bitcoin will be as any other cryptocurrency.

For me, this is still a possibility. However, the previous months of the current year seem to be saying that this is going to be a hard goal to reach. Within 3 months at least already, we have been witnessing how Bitcoin lost a significant amount of its value. There are less than 10 months left in this year. If Bitcoin will get to $10,000 - $15,000 in the first half, perhaps $50,000 will be within reach within the year.  

At the moment, i think nobody expect that bitcoin could reach fifty thousand usdollars these year. The bearmarket is making all nervous. But when you look bakc at the beginning of last year 2017, there was also nobody who believed that bitcoin will hit twetny thousand end of the year, and it happen. So never say never, it could happen this year, and im really hope it will happend and we all will get some nice profit with our investment. So keep holding!

50k $ for 1 BTC is too high price considering current market correction. I think it could be 25-30k $ till the end of 2018 year  :) Hope market pump is soon :)

Maybe in the future it will be a common currency but the prices will not be high.

20.000-30.000 usd is a good price for bitcoin. 50.000 usd make people think that it's a balloon. but it need to recover the price soon, so the market will be more stable.

Bitcoin is having a hard time to increase its value due to so many factors that affects its price. There are many hacking incidents since this year and I think it gives big impact to its current value. As what we all know, crypto has so many element of surprise and that could be the reasons why so many people are still believing in this coin.

I am expecting the price to recover from this month and I also believe that price will touch a fresh all-time high level in this year itself but to be honest, $50K is too high considering the past price movements. I am not saying that it is impossible but it is difficult in this year. However, if big whales are entering again then the price will grow exponentially and we might see that milestone soon.

None would deny it right? We come across so many articles inquiring the same via so many medias. We can even see many threads related to bitcoin value hike this year. All are seriously waiting to see such a huge positive change in bitcoin value. Especially Investors are waiting to see their profits filling their buckets. Everybody, even me as well expecting it to rebound on a positive note. But I doubt it will happen from this month itself, and I agree with you, $50K high been touched is like a huge movement, considering the facts and actions being taken by the governments of few countries which is against this market. So we can just hope and wait. I think it will retouch its old high, but I doubt for how long. Seems very impossible to reach that mark this year in the sense that bitcoin has something to do with the 3-month bearish movement that its experiencing. I think bitcoin will just hit 30,000$ all time high this year if this year is better than last year.

Yep. Bitcoin will reach more than $50,000 this year. As per crypto experts prediction Bitcoin will reach $60,000 in July end and the current trend is a stabilized trend for it which will sky rocket starting this month end I guess. I personally think Bitcoin may reach $75,000 within this year end but I don't have any supporting data to prove that but just my prediction.

You don't have any 'supporting' data to back up your prediction because it is just a guessing game for you based on absolutely nothing. You and all the fake experts are nothing more than a plague here. It may sound harsh, but this is the only way people might understand what the problem here is. That true....Guessing can't really help in this business. Such guess and creating fake hype without analysing is dangerous for themselves as well as for others. At this point of time BTC is moving sideways or rather being in downtrend form last 3-4 months. These surges definitely creates a ray of hope among investors but it is unable to cross resistance level and fall back. SO saying BTC at $50k is not seems to be possible at this point of time but hope it prove me wrong and price surge to moon.

I don't think it will reach 50,000$ this year because bitcoin is just starting to recover. More and more resistant is expected to wait bitcoin on top and if it can break it early this year, bitcoin might surpass its all time high last year. I expect, bitcoin will reach 30,000$ this year.

Right from the beginning of this year,the market value of Bitcoin continuously fell due to the market volatility. As such and given that its market value is struggling under the 10k usd mark,it will also have a hard time to reach such value within this year.

If we hear some big news this year for sure the price of $50k is really possible but since this market are stable for weeks now, I believe it can hit $10k soon and go higher up to $25k this year. We have more years to come and bitcoin will continue to improve for us to have a bright future ahead.

At this moment the price of the bitcoin is $9000 and today is first of May and we have only 8 months to reach our goal bitcoin become $50,000 before end of this year 2018 and if you want really happen this . it seems difficult. if it rises quickly we can hit again. this is not good. a maximum of 30k. I will be happy to see the level of 20k if I think of the current level. every rising because it affects the altcoin market.

Still has a chance for that but then I don't want to assume early as the price isn't showing the kind of thing last year. Although strong at the current price. Plus that was too high maybe it's safe to assume if the price hit the $20k mark again. Maybe $50k has a better chance if ever we hit that again.

I believe fundamentally and technically Bitcoin will hit 50k usd this year. This means x5 from now, x2,5 from the all time high in January. I think this is totally achievable

Right. We all saw the backlash of a fast paced pump to 20k. People lost their minds during the 3 moth correction. Imagine if we suddenly surged to 25k lol the fomo it will cause will also be the reason why many people will end up in tears when a correction comes

Even though I'm a strong supporter of bitcoin but I don't think bitcoin price will hit such amount($50k). Though it have possibilities to reach that but definitely it won't happen this year, most probably it takes 5yrs from now when people are fully accepted and used bitcoin daily.

Well, every thing is possible in crypto currency market but personally I don't think Bitcoin value will reach such height before end of December this year though its value may likely increase above what we saw in the late last year.

50,000$ per BTC is a very high price to be realized this year, IMO. But since bitcoin is full of surprises and is very volatile in nature who knows, bitcoin will even exceed that price this year. Let's just hodl what we have so we will enjoy if that price will be realized this year.

Im sick and tired of that predtion thing,dont you ever get tired of speculation than only bringung you to failure?because you owe to believe them and buying coins assuming that things will go that way,but suddenly after holding it drops and take a longer to recovers.just like those who trapped last december when many speculations about continued growth..now they are loss

No, that's too high for this year, bitcoin can not reach 50k this year, the possibility of bitcoin will reach the price of 50k in 2020, and you should be more patient to wait for it.

Today price it will increase again and now is$7500 and I hope it will continue this time the price increase.
I believe they become $50,000 in the future but the percentage to happen that is maybe 50 percent only because of the panic seller of the bitcoin.

I don't think there are that many panic sellers left to be honest. All I see is an empty market that likely only is being traded by those with an above average understanding of the market. Only when we break through the $7000 level I can see panic selling become a thing again. Regarding the $50,000 prediction, it will definitely happen, but not as fast as some people may think because of all the flashy "expert" predictions. I think that if we break through $50,000 before the end of 2020 we have done exceptionally well. People think current prices are low, but they really aren't, especially so when you look at the price of exactly 1 year ago. On top of that, the larger this market becomes, the more difficult it will be to move....

Looking at the current bitcoin price I think the $ 50k price is very difficult to achieve. The role of medium investors does not mean anything even though they are trying to raise the price of bitcoin with massive and simultaneous purchases. Whales always play that sometimes block the bitcoin price increase.

Um, I think it's much less than that.  Bitcoin is probably more likely to hit $5000 than $50k this year, and I would suggest to OP that he take all of these internet predictions with a huge grain of salt.  The people who make these outrageous predictions are basically looking to make a name for themselves, and the higher the estimate (and the sooner) the better.

For me, I'd be very happy if bitcoin breaks $10k again, not only by the end of 2018 but at any time next year as well.  The sentiment has definitely turned bearish, and the market really needs some good news to flip it in the opposite direction.

For this speculation to come to fulfilment some thing very positive need happen in favour of bitcoin if not I don't see the value of bitcoin reach such height before the end of this year despite my initial positive speculation.

Eh, I think bitcoin reaching that much in this year is too overly far fetched. Yes, bitcoin is unexpected but that is just way too much.
There is quite a lot of panic sellers still which reduces the price even more. Just take the dip in the present as an opportunity to acquire more.
It is possible for bitcoin to reach over $50k, just not this year.
