Title: What is needed for Altcoin to survive long term?
Post by: justyourkuya on April 09, 2018, 08:49:15 AM
Many are into digital currencies and are engaged in total availability and market transactions. With the assumption that it’s value will go up in future, how will altcoin survive long term?

Only use, if altcoin is useful and widely used it will always have a demand and an offer.

It will be live as long as it is used.

Then the value of altcoin should be recognized by most people.
And this altcoin code keeps updating, and the team has been developing the project, which is the most important.

if altcoin is much of interest as well as the community that strengthens the altcoin. This, in my opinion, will make the longevity for the altcoin.

An altcoin will survive as long as is used by people. The best would be to be used as a currency (this is why is made for) in super markets, every day shopping, and one day hopefully in the banks. Then their price will begin to stabilize and to be will be less volatile.
This is the best option for every crypto, which was created not to make their creators rich, but to serve all of us.

Yes, there are too many emerging altcoins in the market nowadays, but we don't know which of these are getting more survive in long term.
Firstly you look the use of the altcoin to make survive in the long term, I have one example that altcoin may use and it might survive or probably the next step of bitcoin. No other than ethereum, it has the smart contrast and it is commonly used now in ICO's project to purchase their token so there's no reason that it will not survive.

A good coin will always survive on long term because people are going to use it regularly. As long as people keep using something, even if they are only in a small number it will survive because those people keep it alive. But not only people are responsible for keep a coin alive, I think the creators are also very important because they have to promote their coin and continuously work to improve it and make it fit people requirements. At least in the first years that coin has to be promoted in order that enough people hold and use that coin to keep it alive. If there are hundreds of thousands of users they are going to promote themselves the coin further and it will survive for a very long time.

You need a big enthusiatic community to keep it going through teh dark days. That's what bitcoin had durinhg 2014-2016, and that is what sustained Doge through various ups and downs.

All it needs is public activity, a hype. If people hear about the coin from day to day they start using it. Just how that happened to Ripple (for example). Obviously its a useless coin but people buy and sell it

altcoins needs development and progress to survive in long term. not all altcoins will survive many will fall even though they have good ideas. having a good start and support of community would help altcoins active or run for a long time. also being in the top or being popular will help it survive for a long time.

To do this, it is necessary that altcoins find its peace of cake in business processes. If it approaches to solve some applied problem, then he will be invested.

I couldn't agree more. In fact, this might be the biggest problem with the market. Most of today's coins offer platforms for other projects or cover some specific audiences like musicians, gamers, fitness couches etc. However, these are the ideas they present to find investors. Some of them are better, others are worth, but eventually they seem to care not about the product development, but about the price rising. They draw attention of traders and the token is considered successful if its price rises. People forget that it was not about the token, but about making some business easier. That's why when some minor things like ad bans or ico regulations appear in the news, the market goes crazy. It is because most of project don't have real value even close to the trading prices.

While investing in an alt coin, take care of following things:

1) Who are the people behind the coin. For instance, tomorrow if Bill gates comes with a coin, people will buy that coin blindly. So having a reputed name associated with the coin gives free initial promotion.

2) Also see if the coin is offering something unique. For instance, monero became popular because it is more anonymous then other coins and thus its prices have risen.

I think good marketing campaign and completing roadmap with new partnerships and technologies. Alts are good and some of them are really sleeping giants (like EOS and NEO for ex.)

Everything is depends on investors so some altcoins are created in big gaint and MNC company or some banking support coin. These coins are survive in longterm and this coin price also depends on Bitcoin so all the investor aim is Bitcoin. But bitcoin is drop in the market automatically all the altcoins are down.

They haven't really been in the market for a long time so I wouldn't use them as an example. Some altcoins who have proven themselves to have survived for a long time is litecoin, eth, waves and many more. Good marketing campaign and completing roadmap is one thing, but what keeps altcoins survive long time is improvements(it keeps demand going) and it's use cases(like what others mentioned).

For me Altcoin has a high degree of risk, so it is not suitable to be a long-term investment. For me that Altcoin is more suitable for short-term investment because usually altcoin which only lasted not long so we can only use it in a short time.

Perhaps if many people are using the altcoin then the altcoin will survive in the long run.
And as long as the total supply is still a lot, then it may also survive in the coming year.

I think an altcoin may able to survive provided they it should have a much better platform technology that it will be more useful in the application to the majority of the people. People should see the other alts potential and invest into it so that this alt may continue to run in the cryptocurrency market. and also, for as long as bitcoin will continue to progressively move to uptrend motion then there is a big chance that alts may continue survive.

In my opinion based my experience, coins that can survive in long-term are those who have a strong team and a great community in supporting the project.
because a coin will be of high value if the coin can be used as it should fit the concept designed at the start of the project launch. and it can be achieved from the hard work of a team and the greatness of the community that always supports the development of the project.

As soon as the community keeps patronizing altcoins for their future used no doubt that altcoins will survive long term. For instance, ethereum is now getting popular in the community next to bitcoin, this is a good sign that altcoin like ethereum will survive long term. With the great number of people in the community using some altcoins for long term investment the great chances that altcoins like eth, ripple & litecoin will survive long term. And it depends of which of these you are most like too.

First of all you need to define fundamental aspects of X coin's structure, after this you need to research investment object by collectiong relevant information about their developing team(and also try to understand how people value your coin),Its important for X coin to have a good PR group too...Anyway,When I want to understand how long a X coin will survive,I always ask question if does this coin allow us to get a truly long-term perspective on the market? I mean if it can be competetive,Because we know  cryptomarket is more like a stream of water. Also,I want to talk about one important thing: Surplus-The law of demand-Supply-Equilibrium price- always pay attention on this details and you will easily understand how long X coin will survive...

especially investors, without investors, will not last long. supply and demands are also very influential on the existence of etherum for the long term.

Altcoins too closely mirror the movements of Bitcoin. This is because most of them have no product, or that their product is also extremely tied to crypto.

We need altcoins that are less crypto-native... Which is really hard to do, because apparently the crypto community has this idea that everything has to be about crypto conquering the world.
My bet is coins like WTLs. (https://www.welltrado.io/ (https://www.welltrado.io/). But there is a long way to go for them yet.

What do you try to say mate? Why crypto was creating not to make the owner or creator rich?
So what they want from making the project? Of course success and reach. So no other reason for them to make this project if not for money?
But there is good way for them to gain money. Not just scam people and run. They can gain money with more effort by making good progress in the project till the goal of the project created was successfully and the value of crypto of course higher. Thats the  clear way to make the rich rather than run with the money.

I think altcoin will survive if this project is useful for everyone in the sense that it can be used everyday like financing or fast transaction we take for example like xrp. Which will be used by japan bank, so altcoin will survive if everyone can use it

1. dedicated team which still focuses on development after raising million.

2. most importantly: utility, if it's an utility token then it all depends on the platform, for example if it's a decentralized Mturk like Effect it will have huge liquidity just from the workers.

Community support would be the first thing you should consider, people arent not going to put their money to a shit project that is why the second would be the overall feedback of the project to the community,3rd would be the long term plans,it means the roadmap should be cleared too lastly the most important thing for me will be the product of MVP of the project.
