As We all know, the crypto market has been on a downward trend since the second week of january.
Bitcoin market is still below the $10k mark which it was at the 1st week of February .
What do you guys think would be the price of BTC by December
Do you think bitcoin has the capability to hit the $30,000 mark before the end of 2018 or go below $6000?

Hi there I am a newbie here you can see. But I have been working with the Bitcoin for a long time. I think that the price of Bitcoin by December 2018 will be not more than$20,000 ,because observing the falling trend of the price of Bitcoin ,I don't think that can cross the previous highest.

The crypto market got hit hard during the early days of 2028 and we have had enough of the downward trend

but I think December 2018 won't carry gifts of a high price of 30000 dollars but we could see mid $10000+ around this time

as this period is known to be bullish but not expecting the volatile type of bullish.

It all boils down to regulation/FUD. If we have bad news all the time, BTC will not go up structurally. Cause of most of the bad news is regulation and scams. Regulation; looks like most developed countries have taken a public opinion about crypto, so I don't think we will see any big bans. However, there are still some countries such as India where they try to discourage crypto use by blocking banks to work with crypto companies. Regarding scams; it's very possible we will see some more controversies such as hacks. Worst thing that could happen is that a big exchange (or multiple) suffer a huge hack. So far, this has not occured. Also, Tether could also collapse if it turns out their market cap is not convered by real USD. So I foresee 2 scenarios: lots of FUD (like now) and we won't go higher than 15k (low could be...really low depending on the amount of FUD). Scenario 2, the positive news dominates FUD news and we will see at least 20k 2018. Disclaimer; i'm not a financial advisor ;-)

I'm still convinced of the bitcoin capability by the end of this year, that bitcoin will be able to recover up and break through obstacles up to $ 30,000 and I strongly believe.

With the start of 2018 a lof of bad news comes out and it affects bitcoin bigtime, in my point of view it will not reach 30k but it will not goes down lower done 6k too, i think it will be around 11k-16k in december 2018 right now bitcoin is just bouncing back again and i hope it continuously goes up until december.

My prediction of bitcoin price before the end of december will be $25,000 and above,I still remember what happened last year,all of us don't expect to reach 20k so nothing is impossible to bitcoin.

It would be better to say that bitcoin price will stabelise in 7-10k$ price. Base on its performance in the last few days its price is not going down or going up. Just the trend alone can state it won't go for a pump or even a dump.

Last year the starting price was less than 3,000 USD and by the end of the year 2017 it had about thrice ATH namely when it pumped to 5k, 10k and 19k. With the prices now there is a big chance that it can also exceed the highest price  before.

The future price of bitcoin cannot be ascertained as nobody knows the outcome of what the price would be. In my own opinion, I think it would get to 20k by the end of 2018, once a reversal in the uptrend direction is made.

You know what, no one will really be able to tell because no one really knows since there is always a possibility for any speculation to happen. Just look at the price rises last year. Who would have thought that the price of bitcoins would be able to reach such a height in such a short period of time? And then when january came, february, march, up to this day, everyone were and are still shocked of how fast the prices has dropped and how low it reached.

But in my understanding of all the things that are happening and all the things that I have read, my speculation would be that the prices can only go up by the end of the year and may even reach the number that you are suggesting. But still, that is just a speculation. Anything can happen.

The prices of Bitcoin had surged up to 18k the last December and the start of this year was a bit down for many investors but the market demand determines the prices of the currency. Besides, the market forces are set to bring the equilibrium in case of disequilibrium in the market. In my opinion, the price will again surge up till the end of the year to 18k or more than that.

We could hope so after looking at the patterns of 2017 and even 2015 the time when the BTC and similar dumps in the prices. If that was the time when the BTC was able to recover it then in todays date also it could be the same story repeating it self. Now thats really prediction depending upon the few fundamentals of the bitcoin. If we look at the data generated through different graphs, then it does predict that it could be winning period for the BTC where we will see the prices hitting almost the 20k and above. We already know that its ATH for the BTC and thus it could easily catch those prices one more time after seeing the increasing popularity day by day.  8)

We are not really sure the exact price Bitcoin accomplish by then, but I think that whatever high price is going to accomplish will before December and the price will also go down before December just like it did in 2017; it reached a very high price of $19000 and when it was around that kind December time it fell to about $15000 or so, from there it started going down to the current rate it is now.

Mehn… that’s a FUD, but I don’t think it’s ever gonna happen lol. Of course it’s going to do the same as it did last year, go up and fall… but it won’t fall to the rate it did this year, that’s if it happens to achieve the price rate of 30k like many has been predicting all this while. It should reach $30000 in the worst case scenario. If we see some good news like improvement in transaction speed, we may see $50000 levels.

I beleive that the price will hit 30.000 usd or more. Last year, it dropped too then pump to 20.000 usd. There is very less chance to drop bellow 6000 usd.

What is funny is to look at past predictions (made in January, February and March, available at the bottom of the page) : all past predictions happened to be completely false.
It is a strong indication that, basically, nodoby can predict future prices. We just have to be patient and to cross fingers...

Honestly.... buy now. And hide your wallet. Don't do what i did. It took over my life watching the graphs everyday. The only people who got rich in December were the people who bought some a long time ago and forgot they had it. Everyone else buys and sells too often which is a mistake that i also made. Honestly, I don’t really want to predict any value of Bitcoin by end of 2018 because I don’t want to expect and raise my hope up that much, and I don’t want to bring up a negative remarks as well in the forum. was a very difficult month, when the expectations were that the price would rise and not fall, I believe that many people were waiting to see prices of $25.000 in January or up to more than $25,000 and when the price began to drop people started selling in the panic...  I bought more bitcoin when the price was $17000. yep I'm at a loss, but as I bought to hold for the next years, so that's okay for me.

If we look at market movement from year to year bitcoin prices always go up significantly. Indeed if you look now it's impossible to reach price of $ 30,000 or evenmore because we are in a downtrend position. Well the thing with predictions is that they rarely hit the spot. All we're dping is speculating based on how we personally understand things. Since this week, bitcoin has its market price grow and seems that we are entering on the bullish market already. If this is really the start of bull run, then i can expected that bitcoin's price before this year ends is somewhere between 20,000$ and 50,000$.

Predicting bitcoin price for several months ahead is absolutely impossible, we can only guess. Bitcoin has potential to do both, rising to $30k and falling below $6k, but I think the latter is more likely. However, my wild guess is mostly sideways movement and $10k at the end of the year.

I think $30,000 is so good to be true so i bet it will be at $20,000 mark as per prediction of most of the famous experts in crypto currencies investments because the more Bitcoin will become expensive it will be the more difficult for the small time investors to join the investments in which majority of the Bitcoin are belong to middle class economy. So if Bitcoin become  more expensive then probably most of them will just shift to leading Altcoins to earn.

I do not see any prospect that the world economy will develop. We have long been in a state of crisis. This will attract a large number of people to the world of cryptocurrencies. It has blown my mind already, 70,000 dollars is a huge amount and if your friend’s prediction is going to come true, those who have bought bitcoin at cheap prices are going to buy big mansions, racing cars and all that they want and belong to billionaires. I have a strong urge for bitcoin to touch this value so that I can show haters that bitcoin is the only solution for living a desired life.

I can see a big price increase of bitcoin and other altcoins by the last quarter of the year 2018. Just like previous year 2017 where it is really high. I think Christmas season is also the peak season of bitcoin but I don't think it would reach up to $30,000. Maybe $20,000 is more realistic speculation for me (cause I dont want to expect too much) but the higher the better.

More realistic would be over 10k dollars. Recovery on previous ATH will come, we will see 30k dollars too, but will it be this December or next one is big question. Have in mind that 30k can come only after halving in 2020 and maybe even we need to wait 2021 for that mark. That is the most realistic prediction you can get at the moment. Its possible for 30k to come faster, bitcoin price did some amazing moves in the past so why not to do that again, we need to be open for that too, but chances for that are minimal in my humble opinion.
We need to patient now, price is already high comparing with past years in same months, there are months before winter when price should start rise again, I expect many great news, market is working 24/7, new icos are coming out, this drop didn't hurt any projects, there are just unsatisfied people who bought on top, don't mind them.

I think it is very likely that bitcoin to touch $30k because from year to year bitcoin at the end of each year has a positive track record, always has a significant increase, especially in 2017 very large bitcoin increment happens. to touch below $6000 seems very difficult because it has several times touched $6000 but bitcoin rise again.

I don't think 70k can hit this year it is a very huge amount. Although market is volatile it takes time for development of the value this year. So I think price this year can go like more than $25k.

I think bitcoin has the capacity to grow in days to come and I don't think that bitcoin is going to be in bearish conditions.  Bitcoin is going to hit $30,000 before end of this year and I expect the upward movement from June this year.

But seriously, when I saw OP, I'm starting to believe that as soon as it ticks 00:00 on December 31st, people just have their memory restarted and then start a brand new year. Price drops at 1Q of the year is nothing new.

Fact is that we've started this year with far greater bitcoin price than we had last year at this time and that's a good start of the year if you ask me.

According to me, in December 2018, Bitcoin prices will be able to reach the value of $ 22,000- $ 25,000. After the end of 2017, the price of Bitcoin has reached $ 20,000. Care to tell how you came up with that figure dude? Sounds pretty random to me. We don't know when it will make a run towards hitting another all time high and it's even possible that it won't happen this year. Again who knows.

Different people have different thoughts about the price of bitcoin. Some people say that it will be more than 25000 dollars and some predict 20000 dollars till the end of the year. There is a huge volatility in the price and nothing could be predicted about the future. But currency situation tells us that the price is growing again and in the near future it will be more than $10000.

We should be optimistic as we can have advantages if the bitcoin price will go high and we had much of bearish trend this month and this will continue until we found a strong group of investors that are willing to make a good rally. Well making a prediction about the price of bitcoin is pretty useless since nothing will back that up so might as well just be positive about it. We can't accurately make judgements for prices of these volatile currencies but still by summarizing the market trend we can speculate prices for a particular period and we have made predictions around $20000-$25000 for btc by year end and $30k seems unreachable by this time period but next year it will hit that price also. And we have seen the worst part also last year so prices are not going to crash once again to $6000 anytime soon.So stay positive on it.

usually bitcoin prices will be high at the end of the year and will drop at the beginning of the year. this has happened in recent years. and I think it will happen again this year.

Why should people adjust their opinion to a level where newbies don't feel uncomfortable? If the market is a mess and bound to crash, which is indeed speculation, but if that's your thought, you should be able to say that without thinking about anyone's feelings. It's just a thought and that's it. If newbies or longer term members can't handle that, then that's their problem. It's probably a sign that they don't know what this market is about, and also indicates their little trust in Bitcoin itself.

Holders have been seeing the value of their coins only increase in value throughout the years, and that regardless of all the fud and drama that has been going through the market. If people hold their coins and not put it to waste with short term speculation, they would enjoy the same experience as longer term holders. It's a very important difference.

We don't know what really happen to bitcoin maybe the price decrease or it will increase.
But maybe the price become $20,000 and up and I hope the price become $50,000 so we cam get more profit.

According to my prediction the bitcoin price in December 2018 will increase, but not reach $ 30,000. I'm sure there are some factors that will make bitcoin prices up until December 2018. Like a increased public adoption in the use of Bitcoin as a storage of wealth or financial investment and regulatory approval of cryptographic options and futures trading first acquired LedgerX and CBOE Holdings will surely increase the volume of Bitcoin transactions , and that will make bitcoin prices on the rise. The bitcoin price will probably reach $ 17,000 by the end of December 2018.

The price of bitcoin will vary based on some factors.And it was not by any single person.The reason is increase or decrease of bitcoin price based on the investors.Secondly the investors vary based on economical condition.Bitcoin will reach 20-25k$ by the end of this year.

I believe the end of the year will reach $ 30,000 why I have such confidence if you look at the current bitcoin market charts the rise is always at the end of the year and I believe in it.

Honestly, it is too early to tell if what is going to happen with the bitcoin price. We are just coming to mid-year and even if the price shows progress in the previous days, the price keeps falling again. We can't even say that bitcoin has finally recovered from the big dump since the first month of this year and the fact that bitcoin had reached a peak price of $20 000 by the end of 2017 is a hard target. Anyways, anything could happen and it is possible that bitcoin price could start kicking within the upcoming months, who knows. We always speculate if what will happen with market prices of cryptos and we can speculate positively or negatively but what will matter is that we can handle whatever changes that might happen.

I think it will go to 20,000 usd to 30,000 or 50,000 maximum I think but I can't ensure that hehehehhe

With lots of speculations around (FUD or good news) but i don't really care at all since i will just hold my cryptoassets and i am targeting hodling it until 2020s because it's the year bitcoin will reach its highest value.

I can't listen to all this speculations, that doesn't make people buy coins, as we can see now.
I would say rate of 13-16k by the end of this year would be just great.

Let's wait until mid of summer to make any decent predictions. From today, I don"t think this year 20k$ mark can be reachedbut it can change rapidly and I hope to be mistaken about that :)
