Given PG is gagged because of a bet. (PG SELF IMPOSED CENSORSHIP BECAUSE BFL DOESN'T WANT PG RIPPING THEM A NEW ONE FOR EVERY ERROR) Given Inaba / Josh has yet to pay off a number of bets why anyone would trust him is beyond me.  Reference: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=191600.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=191600.0)

So is Inaba ever going to pay any of the bets he already lost over the years?

Or is this just a funny funny ha ha since we all know he doesn't pay his betting debts?

Or is Bruno playing him, "ha ha Inaba I lost the bet, I'll be paying you just as soon as you pay your own betting debts, remember that charity you owe to for example" type deal?

Well it seem perfectly clear that he hasn't paid his lost bets I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would trust Josh given his reputation at this point. There is a reason there are double digit complaints here in the forums with regards to BFL products failing, BFL customer service being lax to non-responsive, and let us not get started on the refunds that BFL denied in direct contravention of FTC rules and the list goes on all one has to do is look at the long long long list of people forced to use extraordinary means to have PayPal refund them. Sickening is BFL... just sickening.

It would be interesting to find out the nature of the 'contract' for the telemarketing those vapourware Monarch coupons but to be honest why anyone would trust them with their private personal information given what they did to Xian01... simply on that alone they are not trustworthy in my personal opinion. Hopefully with the Monarch the road will end and BFL will simply cease to exist we can only hope but we all know that would be best for the BTC community.

When has "the law" or simple attributes such as "ethics", "honesty" and "decency" ever figured into the way Butterfly Labs and Josh Zerlan operate ?

I shudder to think how it's possible for them to stoop any lower than they already have.

The best thing that ever happened to me was being fired as a customer of Butterfly Labs and being force refunded.

The fact that Josh and PG have this sick bet going in an effort to silence him is revolting and stomach-churning.

You know a company is just bad news and rotten to the core when they resort to attempts at silencing and intimidating critics.

I don't know how they have escaped legal sanction for so long... Makes you lose complete faith in our system, which is probably one of the reasons Bitcoin is rallying, come to think of it... </meta>

It is a really good company, respectful and nice.

The real question is. Why are people still purchasing from them?

They are desperate for sales now... They even call up their customer and giving them like 20% discounts...

I hope you can understand and appreciate that a disproportionate amount of forum users / customers / victims have had horrible experiences in dealing with this enterprise.

It would be irresponsible to the greater Bitcoin community to stay silent about Butterfly Lab's terrible track record and contempt for their customers.

I`m sure they do, its pretty standard for any company. This also includes banks selling it to other banks.

Well, actually yes, if you believe they respect and are accountable to their own privacy policy, there is something wrong with selling their customers information.

<niceguy>I suspect that's not the case in this particular episode, however; they probably provided a database of customer info to a call center for sales calling, under a contract of some-sort - What the call-center does with the data after the contract ends is another matter entirely...</niceguy>

Either way, Butterfly Labs have demonstrably broken their own privacy policy, and have created even more mistrust.
