Title: How many of you want somewhere to practice your English?
Post by: Jet Cash on April 09, 2018, 04:43:36 PM
It seems that most new members are complaining about the merit system, and their inability to rank up because of it. In many cases, it seems to be the result of problems with the use of English.  How many of you would be interested in a place to practice so that you could improve your posting ability here?

That is really simple thanks to that forum cause you are able to learn a lot just by reading, if you are active member and you write posts it will be even 2x faster.

To be honest, sir, I prefer to learn English in the course because I can learn more about grammar and other things(and if i can practice in the course i wont to pratice 3 time in a week), but because I have financial problems, I can only learn english from some sites on the internet (like from squiline (http://squline.com/trial-english-course?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3q7Vre-t2gIVQSUrCh3MswsoEAAYASAAEgIpJvD_BwE)), and from this forum only.

So if I have spare time I always try to improve my English, but I think the end of this end there has been no significant progress about my English, even sometimes I still use translate aplication, to define what is discussed in a topic in this forum.

If you dont mind, can you recommend me another way to improve my english, if you can, i will be very grateful to you ....

I'm considering starting another help and discussion area, but it doesn't look as if there is much interest.

Most newcomers stay away from thread was made by the seniors in this forum because they are afraid to be criticized and do not want to change their purpose for this forum (just for bounty program), they mostly avoid serious discussions in this forum .... I think that's what most newcomers just think about ...

Few can make a difference.
I know and feel how disgusting is to try to help people and receive not even a "thanks". But here in the forum, there are some interested on growing up their skills (yes, really few), and your project, even when probably will need some time to find the right people inside, is going to be great for all us willing to improve our English Skills.
For that: Few always can make the difference. Always.

And those who are always begging, this is how you can get merits, by studying and working hard!!

I'm in!! Of course!! Thanks!

Yes it is really true why lots of members here are having a hard time to get merit because they cant construct a good quality post because it needs to be in english language just like me.Its really hard to express everything you wanna say or even hard to understand things here in this forum because of language barrier. If theres an opportunity to have an english classes to improved my english grammar I am really willing to join.

I'm started an off-forum site to help, and this is the url - https://fittotalk.com/english-talk/index.php

I decided to go off forum, because all that happens to threads here is that they get spammed with external links. It may help people to use these external sites, and Goggle translate, but it doesn't give them a chance to focus. Spamming the threads with such links in the hope of getting merit, doesn't help the people trying to learn.

I wanted to create somewhere with not activity ranking, no merits, and no chance of signature spamming. It does have the traditional Karma though, so members could rank each other to give encouragement.

Let me know if you think it is worth opening it to members by invitation.

Haha to be honest,  I'm a graduate now but not confident in my written communication that's why I started again reviewing my subject-verb-phrase-modifier, basic sentence contrsuction and I keep someone to check my grammar somehow, they said I  improved a little.
