My oppinion BTC will come close to 1000$ at the end of this year, whats yours?

Depends whether crash come or not  :P

Not in 2013, but maybe in 2014 if USA did not forbid it.

I don't think so in 2013, if I were to take a wild guess I'd say this is about as high as we'll see for this year, but who knows, not me.

It wont, and thats based on companies not shipping that terrahas or pentahas due to wanting increased sales.

this would create a lot of stress.

I dont believe BTC will hit 1000$ this year. Correction is very likely. But next year, BTC will hit 1000$ definitively.

It is highly likely that it will hit $1000 end of this year, but correction and bubble might also hit any time...

The reason for BTC's dollar value is self-referencing.

It's value is a combination of hoarding (creating less supply) and the fact the easiest way to by mining ASICs at the moment, is with bitcoins (increased demand).

The current crazy exponential difficulty is going to plateau in January (after Cointerra release). After that, the tech just isn't increasing at the current rate (double every month-ish) So there's going to be less demand ("my current equipment isn't the best, but good enough")

So come January, there's going to be less demand. The price is going to drop. Or best case, the current crazy rise ($300USD/BTC approx) will also plateau.

I think it will hoover around $400. The end of the year is approaching. Maybe $1000 by next year.

I think the spike we are seeing now is based largely on the Chinese buying up mass amounts of bitcoins and inflating the price. I expect to see a correction similar to what happened in April, but even after that correction we saw a very steady increase in value until this recent spike. But make no mistake: Bitcoin is extremely volatile this early in it's existence, but it is here to stay and has major advantages over fiat currency.

Depends if there are bad news regarding government regulation.

it is normaly for every currency to fluctuate. It is bad to stand still and dont have fluctuation in price. Read a little in economics

It will never happen this year.

The big Bitcoin fluctuations are because not many volume is traded. Bitcoin is still young and when exchange will have more traders ,the more the price will be stable.

I say it will hit $1000 at the end of the year by the rate it is going up.

Even at this rate, it would only reach 750 assuming that it constantly goes with this slope.

This is the very reason why there will be no correction. With so many people waiting for a decrease in price, it will never fall very much until demand exceeds supply.

How do you guys deal with the value of BTC changing so drastically compared to say USD and such? It makes me wary of buying and selling with it.

I'm thinking 500-550 then crash.

i was thinking that when the price was 300$ but look now ?! :S

i sort of hope that this milestone needs a little longer than the next 45 days  ;)

i don't think it will, but bitcoin is crazy, and for all i know we could be at $5k next week. having said that, i think we may break $500 or so, maybe push a bit higher than that, but after that, i think there will be a real pullback. true support levels are hard to predict at this stage in the game, too.

yep, but what if some SHEIK invest some money into BTC now :D

I would love to see it 1k$/BTC before the end of this year, but oh well, 500 would be fine. ^^
