Post by: mm1kscs on April 10, 2018, 07:09:59 PM
Hi everyone. I have problem with unspent transaction. I use mycelium wallet. My friend send me btc in 2 seperated transaction.  It took 2 days and over 100 confirmation. Then they are in wallet but i cannot use them it says they are unspent. What should I do? Should I just wait or do I need to do anything. I really need help. This is jot unconfirmed or something else. This is UNSPENT issue.  Thank you. Waiting for your help.

What is the issue? Unspent (like the name says) means that the coins are there and haven't been spent yet.

What do you get when you try to make a transaction? Do you mind posting here your Bitcoin address?

Maybe you should try a different wallet then, like Electrum. Electrum is open source and quite popular.

If there is a way in your wallet to show you your private keys or some seed words, that might be enough for you to transfer your wallet to Electrum.

If transactions that were sending you bitcoins got confirmed then you should be able to use your bitcoins, I don't see what is the problem here.

UNSPENT is not an issue, it means your balance is ready to use
what kind of problems you encountered when trying to send/spend it? have you tried it at all?

@mm1kcs
I do not think there's any issue here. You should be able to spend your received btc. I tried to search for information from mycellium help support and below was the best I could get concerning unspent output.

When sending coins with Mycelium, you always use the currently selected account. You can change your account in the Accounts tab. The wallet will use an unspent output that matches your transactions amount best, so when using your HD account the originating address can differ based on the amount that is being send.
