Personally, i think that Bitcoin can still easily make it. Its value is lower than usual now but i am sure that it will recover and that it will increase again.
We just need to be patient. I am sure that by this summer, we will know whether Bitcoin will have a future or not.

This has been said over and again. Government can not stop crypto-currencies. The highest they can do is to regulate it and in my own view, this may be a great thing for cryptocurrency except that it might affect some purpose of cryptocurrencies. Government will have no choice but to embrace it.

There's a lot of talk about Bitcoin's future going on, especialy after the market price has surpassed the $10,000 mark. But as time passed by, people realize that Bitcoin is more about innovation than about profit. Switzerland, for instance, has became the Europe's leading Bitcoin community, and Malta has also expressed its plans to become a global Bitcoin hub. Apart from some market hiccups, the future of Bitcoin looks pretty promising.

What is your toughts with Bitcoin,
Can government stop bitcoin?

It can if the people allow it to happen.
If you don't yet know how it works I'll give you an example. A government goes against BTC and decides to blacklist all Internet sites that have something to do with it, ban exchanges, don't allow financial institutions to support cryptocurrency businesses. So there are no ATMs, you need to use VPN to access bitcointalk or download a wallet, can't start a company, can't exchange local fiat to crypto online. The only things you can do is trade for cash, use foreign currency for bank transfers and use foreign exchanges via VPN. So, it wouldn't be that bad, you could still use it trade it, but not in your country. But what if all your neighboring countries did the same, like the whole EU? You'd have to get a Japanese or Korean bank account and trade that currency for BTC... Most people would find it to be too much trouble and BTC would die.
Thankfully people can protest.

How are governments going to STOP Bitcoin? As soon as they raided one house in one country to destroy some nodes, 10

other nodes will be fired up at another location to take it's place.  :D .... Most countries will not even worry to pursue these

people, because they know it is unstoppable. That is the nature of a decentralized network....  ;D Will they try to slow it down,

by regulating it's use and placing high tax on it... for sure. Will Bitcoin go underground... Yes... and then they will lose ALL

control they thought they had.  ;D

Government do not want us to use anything that will take away control from their hands and as we all know that Bitcoin based on a blockchain technology which relies on the principle of decentralization. Thus governments will try to restrict it but they can not ban it completely unless they ban the entire internet. On the other hand, they will also use the banking system to restrict Bitcoin to fiat and vice versa transactions. Still, I am optimistic about Bitcoin and I do see a good picture post 5 to 10 years from now.

Bitcoin is a decentralised networking system and so authority has control over the bitcoin network. The government or the central banking system cannot control the bitcoin system or stop the system. No controlling authority has power over bitcoins as it is a network to network online payment system which run through online protocols. Due to high demand for bitcoins and limited supply the price of bitcoins will definitely rise up, which will make bitcoins to be in the mainstream of financial services all over the world. When the price of bitcoins reach a pivotal point all the government's will be accepting this bitcoin and blockchain technology as it can improve the economic conditions of the world.

I think Bitcoin is a digital asset that has the value to make transactions. In my country the government does not prohibit possession of bitcoin but only prohibits to perform any transaction with this magic coin. And the government can not prohibit the circulation of digital assets as long as it does not violate the rules and does not conflict with the law. Because unconsciously bitcoin can help improve one's economy for the better.

According to my view, I think mining of BTC is very hard to do. because the miner should have fully performed utilities and lot of energies. But the Bitcoin's value is lower than usual now. And also a lot of coins on the crypto market getting lower now. But I thoroughly believe it will recover and will increase the price as soon. Thank you.

Bitcoin needs more time to be mature, it needs years in order to reduce its volatility. So we can expect big price movements in the middle term. Bitcoin has lost over 65% since its all time high, reaching a 70% correction in February.

Long term investors should not be discouraged by all the information arriving from different news sources. Most of them are trying to harm bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

We don’t know what can happen tomorrow, but history has given a lesson. Once bitcoin retraces, then it recovers the upward trend. As it happened several times before. It is not clear which will be the lowest price, neither the highest, but if you are a long term investor, don’t let the FUD change the facts about how Bitcoin behaved over time.

To answer the question if government can stop bitcoin, my answer is yes they can if they want to. But if it will be beneficial to that country whose government will stop bitcoin, it will be a different story. Seeing the trend and transition we are having today bitcoin is a glimpse of future the money will have soon. Digital transaction and merchants and firms happening everywhere it is not impossible that bitcoin can be our monetary world. I say if government will stop it that country will have a hard time dealing to the world market if in any case that bitcoin will be the majority payment of most transaction around the globe.

I believe Bitcoin will continue to grow. Bitcoin payment system ensures high-security level as all transactions are recorded in Blockchain.
Bitcoin cross-borderness is based on a fundamentally different trust model built on trust in mathematics, not in a third party reputation.
This reputation-independent trust system became possible thanks to Blockchain technology. Blockchain is a public distributed ledger for storing data and managing transactions.
The data can’t be mathematically forged and don’t require the assurance of any third party including the states.
Now Bitcoin currency sees rapid growth attracting large investment. On Friday, May 19, the cost of Bitcoin exceeded $ 1900 for the first time.
Next, on 25 May, it reached $ 2.800. Earlier in April Japan legalized the cryptocurrency as a means of payment.
Also, according to April 2017 forecasts from Jeremy Lew, the first investor in Snapchat, and Peter Smith, a co-founder of Blockchain, the cost of Bitcoin will exceed $ 500.000 by 2030. At the moment, Bitcoin current price is $3461.92, while its market capitalization is $57,124,362.
However, it should be noted that yesterday, on August 1, as a result of a “hard fork” and community disagreements Bitcoin has split into two cryptocurrencies, creating a Bitcoin Cash, a new version of Bitcoin with the ownership rules.

Bitcoin's future is assured; it's well beyond the point of no-return now... It will become the world reserve currency simply out of the fact that it's always a safe place to put your money when your government (inevitably) acts poorly.

In Cyprus they already demonstrated this when their government stole money out of everyones' bank account. In Argentina they are currently demonstrating this as their government is drastically inflating their currency.

All of the major world governments are extremely in debt right now, all borrowing huge amounts to pay the interest on previous loans... We're teetering on the edge of a collapse that cannot be stopped without bitcoin, one that makes the 1929 depression look like a country club.

When major currencies like the Yen, the Euro, and the Dollar collapse, Bitcoin will be there for you to put your wealth into, and there's nothing governments can do to stop that. How could it go away then?

Bitcoin will likely be a settlement mechanism in the future. It is and will likely always be:

-Too expensive for day to day transactions.
-Too volatile for use as an everyday currency.

Additionally, from a development perspective it is not nearly as attractive as other platforms like ethereum. I am betting we will see a stable currency emerge built on top of ethereum in the coming years which will eventually emerge as the de facto “world currency”.

if according to bitcon will have a good future gan. although now it is still far away once bitcon to return to the price ever bitcoin lately. but every there down there will definitely go up. there is a red flag there is a green flag. keep calm do not panic .
We all know how bright the future of Bitcoin will be and is very bright even its lowest market price is better than the all the other currencies. It has achieved which is not present somewhere else and growing with the passage of time due to its promotions. Especially the current market is attracting and encouraging people to invest more which will shift the low market into a high market.
The future is that of cryptocurrency and bitcoin is the leading crypto in the world, so I can say that bitcoin will take over the market in the future. It will take long time because many people still do not know about crypto and bitcoin but with the passage of time they will know everything about it and will invest in it and thus the investment cap will go high and so will be the price.

What is your toughts with Bitcoin,
Can government stop bitcoin?

Bitcoin prices depend on the market in which market demand becomes a baseline bitcoin can increase in value, bitcoin is increasingly popular as more and more people want bitcoin and it can make bitcoin steadily increasing. The government can ban the use of bitcoin, but the government can't stop bitcoin completely.

the future of bitcoin seems to be very expensive because of the bitcoin whose total supply is very limited and has a very high demand so the price of bitcoin has the potential to be very expensive.
Yes, possible for that of being expsenive in the future. Also, I think bitcoin in the future has many to offer to the users that really surprises to all. So Im not thinking it can stop by the government.

Bitcoin will obviously have a bright future, and we can not discuss that because it is more than obvious, but you need to understand that there are always going to be bad situations and bad moves on the market, and we can not do nothing to avoid them

There is nothing to be afraid of the future of bitcoin, bitcoin is fine because bitcoin is the main coin in crypto. Bitcoin will survive and the government can't eliminate bitcoin.

I personally think that the government cannot stop Bitcoin. If they can then they should've stopped Bitcoin already and yet Bitcoin is still alive and kicking. They can just ban it in their jurisdiction and nothing more. Regulations may be imposed but the mere fact remains that the government cannot stop Bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency can affect the price situation in the cryptocurrency market. I am sure that large banking institutions secretly today affect the price of bitcoin. Let no one advertise this in the news or on the forum, but I'm sure that they directly move the price either up or down.
