Complete newbie here. After much research I'm taking the plunge! I've no hardware or software for Bitcoin and am waiting for the latest product from HashFast. I'm curious because a lot of people say that it is impossible to make money by mining and I'm not sure I believe them because they never provide numbers. Can you show me your calculations?

Just be aware that most timebased mining contracts do not give you guaranteed profits! Always keep in mind the difficulty increases that will happen between the moment the price is set and the moment the mining begins. 2 weeks of delivery time could mean the difference between profit and loss.
