Airdrops don't take a lot of effort, but the gains are low and there are so much scammers nowadays that I wouldn't participate. So, in my opinion, no.

I dont know what you are talking about real value of airdrops to blockchain projects since most of people do know on here that airdrops is one of the ways on how to distribute or to market a specific coin or project which i do see this is a normal thing and theres no any attached things like value, contributions or whatsoever when it comes to blockchain. Marketing ways doesnt collaborate on project aims.

I believe only 1% of airdrop are successful, the rest are scammers and in this way attract the attention of people so that they invest in their project

I think not. Now it's hard to find Airdrop, who would be honest. Perhaps, participating in 10 airdrops, you will receive payment only from one

I think there's at least 3-5% real value while others are scam one example is hydro it has a huge potential total supply is 11 billion and has a circulating supply of 2.63b i got 333 333 hydto just by joining airdrop, and has a real projects and got three partnership in one of the most largest firm in the planet. Hydro Co founder Mike will be one of the confirmed speaker of Blockchain economic forum In San Francisco this May!
Hydro developed hydro 2FA made in blockchain technology and  to be used by big fintech companies worldwide!

Hold your Hydro guys..Hydro could reach Jupiter this year!

I would rather giving on 1-2% for those coins that being airdropped to be successful. Its on very low chance thats why i considered them to be trash or garbage which i dont know why some people do keep on collecting those useless coins but still you can able to hit the chance on making some money but dont expect too much because they wont go to moon. Never. You might able to gain money but would only on small amounts.I dont see any value but this is just rather part of distribution.

I do not know what they give to new projects, but for us it's not a bad opportunity to earn a few coins. Some of them show good growth

I think airdrops bring value and attention if done in the right way.  Couple of the good ways I've seen them used are, as mini bounties to share info about the project on social media.  The other way for example is how EOS is using them for it's new main net launch.  It brings more value to the EOS coin that you will get airdrops of other projects that will launch off EOS's main net.

Airdrop is giving a small type of advertising that it gives free coins to the people who will join their airdrop.

This is a way to implement their project and let the people know that there is an upcoming project and so they get attention through airdrop making.

The article is correct that it has nothing to do with showing real project. They are only making their token popular by giving out free fractions.

Is it necessary to invest in airdrops? I thought it is free distribution.

Airdrop is a free token but some of them are having value and some are not. They usually call it as shitcoin since most of the airdrops nowadays are literally a shitcoin without no value. They were made by some developers who liked to copy and paste the codes but no targeted roadmap that's why their projects are not funded.

Airdrops are created primarily to imitate the popularity of the idea and the project for future investors. Really perspective projects do this very rarely, and more often than not, to create a trading volume for token and to collect even more funds than they have already collected. I do not advise to spend a lot of time on them, do it only if you have some free time and only quality projects.

Yeah I have been doing some airdrops lately and not even got a single penny. I received 10 token with no available exchanges. Just pure shit coins flooding with hype to get investors money.
