Hi guys,

Happy to be able to start to add some new games to my site l8.lv; LTC Treasure Island (http://treasureisland.l8.lv/) is a simple, provably-fair scratchcard game.

Your transaction ID and block hash are hashed together with SHA512. The first two hexadecimal digits of the generated hash give a 2D location of a treasure chest on a 16x16 grid. The next 2 digits give a dig location where your pirate digs.

If the 2 locations match, you get 32X your bet -- and if they're within 7 squares distance, you still get 1.5X your bet.

Currently bet limits are set low. All comments/feedback welcome as usual :)

UPDATE Nov 26: The game now features multiple islands, with differing risks/rewards :) 126 LTC paid out so far, with overall rake at MINUS 4.7% -- quick, play now before we fix our maths :P

Woohoo, Treasure Island just paid its first 32X jackpot: 12.8 LTC paid out from 0.4LTC bet  ;D

Congrats, any way of you introducing more maps, with less risks but maybe lower payouts?

You add credits. Credits that cost nothing and earn nothing.
That's like playing for free without any possible reward.

LaudaM, ah, I see :) That's not really compatible with the way this one works I'm afraid.

laris2, really good idea! I could offer ~4 maps with different distributions and you could select the one you want to play when you fill in the Play Now form.

Yes it is compatible. It can be implemented in any game.
What if I wanna try it out without spending coins? I can't.

Hmm I guess I could have a form for you to enter a fake transaction ID and blockhash and see the game that would result from the game hash...

Like I said. Add player credits as optional way just to test it.
You could use unlimited credits and keep playing for fun, if someone wanted that.

I Like your option, maybe even transaction hash cold be taken from a random recent transaction list, and you could check out the game for free :O
Maybe even occasionally he would run that a free game gives our real credits!

As suggested the game now has multiple islands with differing risks/rewards :)

The game's now paid out over 50LTC and is actually working out to a small negative rake at the moment (about -7% at time of writing).

I think I've worked out why nobody's playing now; the damn transaction fee of typically 0.02 LTC are now near enough 50c!

Seems to me its a luck game, im always unlucky so i shall help u bump instead
