Title: Scammed, link check
Post by: markj113 on November 11, 2013, 06:20:05 PM
I have just had 3.88 bitcoin stolen from my wallet.

The only thing ive done recently is click on 3 image links for an item ive purchased on here.

Could someone please check if there is any dodgy embedded code contained?

Images are hosted on imgur.com, so there's no embedded code.
Did you have downloaded anything else recently or visited some shady site?

Download Malware byets anti malware and scan your Pc.

PS: looks like either your pc got infected or someone got access to your passwords.

You said someone withdrew from your "account".  What wallet were you using?  Was it an online wallet or a local (QT client) wallet?

Well if you resused the password then you can assume it was compromised somewhere.  Expensive lesson but never reuse passwords for anything financial related.   If you want to be lazy and reuse the same password for steam games and twitter that is one thing but anything financial related should be unique.

You indicated your system came back clean so:
1) Do you have a backup of your wallet.dat?  Is the backup stored online?  Have you emailed the backup to yourself?
2) Does anyone else have physical access to your computer?
